Welcoming but in not your face. Just right. Food - welsh lamb curry. Very good. After a long walk this is your rest. They took out half for my breakfast with a tia miria.

Best curry house in West Wales Lampter Shapla Tandoori the food is amazing great atmosphere even having a takeaway the food is great you will never be disappointed, the staff make you feel very welcome and are so helpful regardless if you sit in the restaurant or order a takeaway and the good thing is you can have a drink while you wait for your takeaway you never have to wait long for a takeaway order on line or by phone.

First time here and, definitely, will not be my last. Excellent food served quickly and the service was second to none. The waiter was attentive and even suggested food to try that we hadn't already. I would, thoroughly recommend it.

Ordered a takeaway. I've only recently moved to the area and had tried the other 2 curry places in Cardigan. I enjoyed both of those but this was by far the best. I'm vegetarian and the flavour of the food was lovely, with a really good mix of vegetables. They also deliver to over 3 miles away. They do charge a bit extra, but it was well worth it. It is now the only place I will go to for an Indian meal.

I know they say.. Never judge a book my it's cover, but! The food was as bland as the decor! Walked in to order a takeaway, even though the restaurant was empty & none in the kitchen cooking. My order would take at least half an hour? We ordered chicken vindaloo, tikka & Pathia, peshwari naan, chips & Rice. Chicken Tikka, thin watery sauce overloaded with coconut. 1 out 5. Chicken Vindaloo, worst I've had, slight nutty flavour very strange almost flavourless 0 out of 5. Chicken Pathia, about the best of the lot slightly sweat flavour lots of onions 3/5 Naan very thin more like a Rotti bread, virtually no coconut flavour to it, must have used it all on my Tikka! 1 out 5 Chips we're quite nice but small portion, as was everything else. 4 out of 5. When I went to collect my order I noticed a very dirty sink behind the counter were they take payments, a large plastic container next to the sink , what looked like Mango chutney? And lots of small sauce pots stacked next to it! Should definitely in the kitchen and in the fridge. Definitely would NOT go back. I am very surprised by the many 5 star reviews? I do wonder are they real reviews?

Very comprehensive menu, excellent food. All three courses very good, with friendly and efficient service. We ate in and although the ex-public house vibe is strong it does not detract from the quality of the meal. Definitely recommended

Great service. Unfortunately the food was quite disappointing. I ordered butter chicken. It was way too sweet. The chicken tasted very dry and weird, which made me suspect it was just reheated pre-packaged frozen food. The texture and the taste of the naan was also very different from what I expected.

Visited at a busy time so noise levels were up. Main loos are up a flight of stairs so difficult if you have mobility problems.

Best Indian I've had for ages by a country mile. Attentive, patient & helpful staff supplemented by a fantasticly flavoursome meal. Top Notch. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Wow again! Been in Cardigan 3 years and only found you a while ago. By far the best i have had and believe me I know what is good. Have always had food delivered. Always come before they give a time. Delivery driver is always so good and so friendly. An amazing experience from putting in an order, what a fab chap and so helpful and so happy on phone, no idea who the chef is but please give a massive high 5, hug from me! As said, delivery driver always brilliant. Well.. the food ... outstanding... amazing ...

Visited here on a Saturday evening as a party of five. The service was very slow but the food was of a decent standard. In short, every item we ordered had between 55p and £2 added to their menu price with an additional 10% on top. Unfortunately we didn't realise this until leaving and would've had every right to refuse to pay the prices that weren't advertised. Please see below for the long version of my review... On receiving the bill for the meal we realised the total amount was incorrect (£10 more) and queried this with the waiter. The waiter stated that he had added on 10% and said "this is what we do now" and then walked away. When we were about to pay for the meal, the waiter saw we wanted to pay by card and said it was cash only..this was not made clear on entering the restaurant or when we made our order. We didn't have cash so had to leave the restaurant and walk to the closest cash point 5 minutes down the road. On leaving the restaurant we checked the menu we were given on leaving and realised not only had 10% been added to the bill but all of our dishes had between 55p and £2 added to their menu price. I understand prices have risen for everyone but this seemed like a sneaky tactic and we would've had every right to refuse to pay the additional cost for the meal.
