The best restaurants serving Indian food in Scotland

Doesn’t have Halal certificate but telling verbally its Halal.. should take action…

It’s rare that I take the time to post a review, but that was easily the worst Indian takeaway that I’ve ever had! The Korma dish had the consistency of porridge, and it tasted like lentil soup with a dash of coconut! The ‘King’ Prawns in the Dhansak dish were overcooked, undersized, and lacking in numbers. The Pilau Rice was stodgy and clumped in large balls. The Garlic Naan didn’t taste of garlic, and the Peshwari Naan was falling apart. Both breads were dry, £30-ish wasted! Dreadful.

Absolutely fantastic meal enjoyed on 8/3/25. Delicious food, and friendly, helpful staff, including being very attentive to a member of group who’s gluten intolerant. Love the simplified menu, and will definitely be back.

Excellent curry, keema rice was very good and the cheese nan was so cheesy.

Went for breakfast, ordered eggs royale but they came back to say they didn’t have any smoked salmon so had eggs Benedict instead, on the menu it stated it was served on fresh sourdough bread but it came on sliced white bread that was barely toasted and it was swimming in hollandaise sauce. I understand they may be more specialised in curry’s/pakora etc but wouldn’t go back for breakfast unfortunately. My cousin had a roll and sausage which they said was average, asked for tomato sauce and was given cheap sticky bottle from supermarket, very bland... Considering there are various cafe’s nearby that are queued out all day with customers they have a great opportunity to take in extra customers, we where the only people in the restaurant, now realise why :(

Best curries in our area,wouldn't go anywhere else now,great value if you get the deal.

lovely staff great food specially the chicken tikka wrap and pakora and mind sauce. I am yet to try the curries but i know they will also be exceptional 👌 best takeaway in Alness

Excellent food and service. Only comment is that it does not advise the spice level of dishes on the menu . So although my meal was very tasty it was too spicy for me.

Ordered food last night, and I changed my mind, and got something else from another restaurant because It took too long to confirm my order, I wanted to cancel my order and got told to phone the restaurant, they told me that nothing came through for them to be able to cancel it, the just eat app kept saying the restaurant would confirm soon and I couldn’t cancel my order to get my money back, I didn’t receive my order last night, but I have just got a know at the door, at one in the afternoon with my order!Really unhappy about this.

Fantastic takeaway. The staff are very nice. The food is outstanding. The chicken tikka Spicy Korma is my favourite thing they make. 10/10

Possibly the best takeaway in Motherwell

Really enjoyed our meal here a good traditional hot vindaloo and a chicken madras. Mushroom bahji very good and staff very friendly and efficient. The mixed starter is also good but unless you're very hungry a bit filling as a starter .. Also they produced a very generous portion of fresh cucumber raita - which not on the menu

Haven't been in a few years but good to see the reviews are still positive.Looking forward to stopping in next time I'm in town...
