Eastern Eye Indian Cuisine in Aberdeen City

I read on my friends Facebook last night, how great they enjoyed the food. We were planning an Indian tea for my family tonight. I ordered from the detailed menu. Staff were amazing, relaxed waiting area also. We ordered the set menu for four, it was absolutely delicious. Huge portions and the starter, we will have for lunch tomorrow. Strongly recommend a visit and price is reasonable also. Thank you for a lovely welcome. We will be back and I will recommend to friends 🧡

Just awful 1st time ever had bad meal from them. It was 1/1/24 . So did expect to pay a bit more however 6.00. For a meal that had cold pakora. So thought I'll leave it and tuck into main meal. Again cold korma sauce was like water with 8 small bits of chicken rice was fine. However everything else awful. Don't no if they've changed owners . But won't be using again. So sad as I've used them for maybe 15 years . From Brierfield to Stonehaven now Bucksburn.

Left specific orders for my food as allergic to certain things and they didn’t even read and left them in my food which was just lazy, my naan bread was burnt to a crisp and they had such an attitude when I phoned asking for different food due to allergy’s and then leaving them in and they just said no and hung up.

You may think it difficult to assess the atmosphere for a takeaway, but the moment you step through the door you are made to feel welcome. Take a seat, it's almost ready Mr Walker. This in my opinion is the best Indian takeaway in Aberdeen. The awards adorning the walls are proof of this but you only have to taste the food to understand why it is a clear winner. This can only be down to fresh ingredients and careful processes which are consistent each time they are presented. I've been coming here for many years now and yes, I've tried other Indian food in the area and there is no comparison. The owner is looking after his clientele, and I can say that I have enjoyed his service and food for over 30 years now. A family passionate about giving the best quality and taste in their food and clearly proud to be the number 1 for Indian food in Aberdeen.

We frequently have meals from here! The place is clean & welcoming, staff always pleasant & very helpful. Food is excellent! Only place I would order lamb from. Have tried many dishes from an extensive menu & could not fault any of them. My daughter in law had a meal from there first time last week was never very keen on Indian dishes but was delighted said it was the best one she had tasted! So yet another customer!

Unfortunately I can't afford to get a curry that often these days but when I am able the Eastern Eye never lets me down. The chicken tikka vindaloo is out of this world and highly recommended. Many thanks for the outstanding food and great service. Can't wait for my next meal.

The food was out of this world. I'm hungry just thinking about the way it presented itself. I will certainly be back for more.

We order food from here a couple of times a month, and we're never disappointed. The range and standard of the food is excellent and the people are friendly and communicative. After living in London for a few years we found it difficult to find an Indian takeaway that was both good and consistent. Eastern Eye fills that role.

Beautiful food, good portions. Phoned the restaurant as delivery was running 15 mins late, and they communicated well that it was running slightly late, and i got my food 5 mins later.

Lovely tasty meal owner was very friendly

Chicken tikka was OK bhaji and pokora were a bit bland and oily.

Worst experience. Had lamb butter take away, which was the most pathetic lamb I ever had. They had very few pieces of lamb cooked for something else and mixed with some sauce without butter which I ordered. Never going to recommend anybody. 10 pounds for shitt. Pathetic!!

Never have we had a bad meal until Saturday night, I think it was just too busy and food was being cooked and put out too quick the rice was sticky and came out the tub in a lump, the tikka masala was very dark and like spicy tomato and the bhuna was so oily and lacked flavour it has also stained my dining table. Quite disappointing but it is the first time

The quality of the food is amazing. We are regulars and have tried just about every curry on the menu and we've never had a bad meal. The service is always really good too. The team are always friendly and helpful.

Tried here for the first time, pretty good.ordered on line arrived on time and hot.starters were a decent size and tasty, main were very good and decent portions.overall well worth checking out and will definitely use again.

This was delicious! You might have to wait slightly longer but the quality of this food was so good! Me and my partner were very impressed and couldn't stop complementing it all- special biriani, saag paneer mator(vegetarian), pilau rice and vegatable pakoras were amazing! Very kind staff aswell, thank you!

Ordered 2 kebabs, doner meat was sliced so thick I thought I was chewing the tongue out my trainers, no flavour, put it in the bin . Stick to their Indian food, so much better

This is a top quality takeaway with a large menu, they also do some great meal deals. Its well worth a visit. You can get your meal a good bit cheaper if you phone the takeaway direct and not through an app

Good quality food, always consistent. Wait times are quite long, as long as you know this it’s fine though. Would rather my meal was cooked right than rushed out. We went for the set meal for four which is great value and always feeds four plus one child.

Really delicious food, ready on time for collection. It was no bother for them to kindly change veg sauce to Madras for us. The chocolates were a nice touch too! Will definitely be back for more 😊

Been here many times, it is the best in Aberdeen for sure. Today chicken pakora, just cooked perfectly. Chicken madras and pilau rice, again great portion and taste. Side of perswari naan, tasty! Popadom and sauces were a great addition. Will always take this as the best takeaway. All food cooked fresh to order and you can tell of the quality.

I ordered a mixed meat biriani but not too hot spicy. I got exactly what I ordered, a mild meat biriani it was absolutely delicious. With it came a side order which I didn't order, complimentary poppadoms and side salad. The delivery was prompt the price was reasonable and the food hot and tasty and large enough for at least 3 meals for me. I will definitely order again. The guy who took the order was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend this takeaway

Outstanding food! I definitely recommend taking a garlic naan as a side dish, as it was freshly baked and was just delicious!

1st time visited but heard great things about this place. Ordered the set meal from 2........WOW!!!!. Quality of food was outstanding and could have easily of fed 4 people. Will defo be my go to place now for a curry.

Missed out on two items we ordered very unfortunate as there wasn't enough food to go around with the group of people.

We order every week ,and the food is always freshly made to a very high standard ,very very friendly staff and cater to any request . Wouldn’t go anywhere else . Definitely the Best of the Best .

Ordered the meal deal for 2, great value for money, delivered within 45 minutes (still very hot), food was AMAZING 👏😋, my chicken jalfrezi was excellent, my wife's chicken tikka was delicious, even the kids got involved. Thank you Eastern Eye, look forward to our next order 👍👌

Ordered meal deal for 2. Excellent value and great service. Food was very good with the exception of the pakora which were bland and tasteless. Fix the pakora mix and you have a 5 star gem in the North East. If fixed, would definitely recommended.

My go to Indian Takeaway . I usually have chicken madras and it always comes with heaps of chicken. I halve the chicken and I get extra sauce with my order so get a second meal out of it. I can fully recommend it.

Easily my now favourite takeaway in Aberdeen. And I've tried many! Light fresh food that everyone loved. All the usual classic dishes. And they don't use nuts in any recipe which is great as I asked and am highly allergic!

VERY GOOD! The tika masala was impeccable, and the korma was very good. The texture of the Popadoms was super good. You are making a mistake not to go here.

Delicious meal tonight. Full of flavour. I had a chicken Tikka masala. Meal for one. I shared this with my son and both of us were stuffed. Amazing amount of food for the price. The staff were very friendly too. I even called to tell them how good that was. Will I be back, yes I will. Thanks

Just ordered a meal for 1soo disapointed !!! Just finished a 16 hour shift as a key worker was so hungry , vegetable pakora and onion bhaji were cold and hard like they were reheated when they arrived , and I'm not that far away !!! Papadum was soft and just so wrong , lamb in my lamb saag was chewy and tough overall worst Indian meal I've ever had 😡😡😡

Second time we’ve ordered on line after we found this gem of an Indian takeaway, we are chuffed to have found it after a chance find after a hospital visit & needing to eat at 10pm. Well done guys fabulous food, always, lovely telephone manner & couple tasty poppadoms thrown in with sauces .... long may your business thrive! Have ordered from here on several occasions and have been satisfied but not this time. Waited 2 hours for our food to arrive & it was cold. Part of our starters order was wrong. Big disappointment as was so looking forward to it

Have used Eastern Eye for 15+yrs as usually a favourite with all the family. Disappointed to find that, for admittedly only the 2nd time in said years, sauces for poppadums were watered down to the point of tasteless and very runny. The peshwari naans were more like plain naans with a very slight sweetness in centre to justify classing them as peshwari. The chicken in the main dishes was quite tasteless and very watery, like frozen then microwaved..the sauces of main courses were lovely as always. Very disappointed, as i say, as puts us off ordering again. Hoping it was just a glitch or different cook for tonight. Will try again in future but if same then will find elsewhere.

Absolutely fantastic dinner from here this evening..... Chicken Vindaloo, Keema Naan and Garlic Rice. Portions were huge, so much so that I have saved half for tomorrow. Great flavours, great food, great portions, and a very friendly gentleman in front of house. Highly recommended to everyone. From the man from Leeds.

Fantastic food. Home deliveries or pick ups. Served Quickly. Pleasant staff, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The Kormas are creamy and delicious.

Excellent friendly service, popped in for a takeaway. Explained I was looking at the menu as I had never been in before and straight away the guy was asking what like of curry I usually went for, how hot I normally like it etc He recommended a few, but I settled on sharing a South Indian garlic chicken with my partner. Cost is reasonable, food was delicious. Will definitely be back. Nice little touch that the guy offered to help me out to my car with my bags of shopping & also held door open for me. Little things go a long way :)

Absolutely fantastic flavour. Vegetable pakora, bombay potatoes and the spinach and potato starters were all beautiful too. We bought the meal for 2. Value for money.

Decent place for a bit of food not expensive

Without doubt the worst Chinese in Aberdeen. And don't, I repeat don't order any chipper food from them, unless you want over cooked, grease running mulch wrapped in paper. The Chinese food is the worst I have ever tasted, runny sauce, tasteless meat, and if you can by forensic deduction work out which meat is supposed to be what, then you really should be applauded. How can one place with so many workers get so much wrong.

Decent enough, not the best but far from the worst. Quality can be a bit hit or miss.

Nos sorprendió gratamente y pensamos que la comida era deliciosa: comimos pollo pakora y tikka y luego un cordero korma y pollo vindaloo. También conseguimos arroz y pan naan con nuestra comida. ¡Como extra gratis, obtenemos poppadoms, un poco de salsa, ensalada y dos bombones gratis! La comida era muy buena y sabrosa y sin duda volveremos.La máquina de tarjetas no funcionaba a la llegada, así que nos aconsejaron dónde obtener el reembolso y el personal se disculpó por esto. Fueron muy educados y amables también.

This place is the best ,most authentic Curry takeaway in the town ,huge ,succulent chunks of chicken breast, the bhuna set meal is a great deal & if u prefer sweeter go for a Ceylon Korma ,yummy 👌

Excellent choice of Indian takeaway for a special meal. Order every weekend and we get to deliver delicious food. Service is first class, and mostly get something as a compliment . Very organised and the food is very high quality. Definitely recommend this takeaway.

We have had a lot of takeaways from here over the years, and we find it gets better every time,consistently excellent flavours and ingredients the chicken is proper breast pieces. Generous portions delicious!

Estábamos de camino a casa y estábamos hambrientos, así que decidimos ir a este lugar, ya que no lo llamaría un restaurante. Pedimos 2 kebabs, nadie nos dijo que no hicieran kebabs. En casa, nos dimos cuenta de lo que obtenemos. Así que conseguimos carne en pan naan, la carne era decente, pero no era lo que queríamos, ya que se cortaba en trozos grandes, ¡por separado recibimos un puñado de lechuga, 2 rodajas de tomate, una rodaja de pepino y eso es todo! Oh, lo siento, también conseguimos salsas empacadas por separado, y nos cobraron por eso también por separado.

Have used this takeaway lots of time usually 5 star, unfortunalty this time can only express my dissapointment. Chicken chat watered down and can only say the same of chicken tikka masala which was like a bowl of thin soup with lumps of chicken. Maybe time to find another takeaway.

Back in 2017 a take way from Eastern Eye was delicious. So no hesitation in ordering a take away for collection. Ordered "House Specialty" lamb curry, Chapatis and a naan bread, was told it would be ready in 30 minutes,arrived 35 mins later, and still had to wait another 15 minutes, which at the time did not mind as this would be worth waiting for. WRONG!!!!. The one star was for the Chapatis and Naan which were good. The curry was not particularly spicy, the sauce was a thin consistency, and the " meat"? !! big chunks of a cheap cut of chewy meat, it was so bad that I gave up and had to remove from my mouth, the rest went in the bucket!!- Really Awful. Then if that was not bad enough we both paid the price with upset stomachs for the next 2 days.

For the second Saturday in a row, found ourselves ordering an Indian take away rather than going out for a meal. Normally, this would mean a slightly lesser quality of meal with medium hot food.

food was great meal for 4 would feed 6,full size portions of mains,pompadoms and onions great,nans fantastic,all 4 mains had a different sauce non of them tasted like another.

Entré aquí el 11 de julio y ordené pakora vegetal para mi esposa. Después de comerse las abundantes cantidades de aceite de cocina, era masticable y no comestible, como un bhaji de cebolla batido. El sobre mi pollo pakora. Difícil, definitivamente no recién cocinado, nuevamente masticable e impasable. Las samosas eran casi comestibles. No sé cómo se las arreglan para obtener premios si esta basura es lo que están obteniendo o. Nunca más, porciones pequeñas de basura recalentada en exceso. Mantenerse alejado.

The owner is arrogant and rude on phone and flatly refused to attend saying he's too busy. Literally the right name for his outlet The eastern EYE OPENER. would recommend going across to ALDI🤐

Just ordered a meal from here, three different chicken curry's, nan and rice The curry's were extremely bland and watery and the chicken was disgusting Tough, dry and totally flavourless Won't be going back

We normally have an amazing meal from here but tonight the food was not at its best. The Korma was really watery the nan bread was burnt and birianie was not that great either. Our son does not eat Indian so just wanted chips they were the worst chips ever so the got put into the bin. Very disappointed
