Lahore Karahi in Aberdeen City

Short: Foods very good but delivery service is horrible. Detailed: Eaten there about 5 times. Tried several items and their food is good, mango lassi is amazing. My main problem is their delivery service, it is horrible. There’s never been once where there brought the food on time. I always ordered through Deliveroo and because they do their own delivery you cannot track. The last order I even cancelled because 50min later the food hadn’t arrived. Whenever I called they said 10min and even once they said they couldn’t reach the driver. I’d advise maybe go eat in but avoid delivery at all cost.

I had dinner here on 20-March-2024. Food is delicious and well served. Staff is polite and helpful. Good place for Halal food and Pakistani cuisine, though strangely they don’t serve tea/hot beverages.

Food was ... meh, ok ... but nothing more, and very pricey when you come to think of what you actually get. A handful of chunks of chicken in some pretty basic sauce for £12! Simply not worth it. I felt ripped off. For that money you can have an entire grilled chicken or a full meal without being charged extra for rice or chips. Simply not worth it. Also, I tasted several dishes and was very unimpressed by all. They weren't bad, but when I go out for Indian food I expect more flavour, more ingredients, more care put into each dish... Staff were nice however and service was quick.

My go to for authentic food. Mainly love their kebabs. Though I wish they would improve their recipe of egg fried rice. It was really bland.

Even I can’t gave this restaurant 0 star, completely rubbish food and service, food was smelling Whoever gave them 5 stars must be the restaurant staff or Orner relatives, they are playing with people life, they don’t care

Ordered food for collection on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy but the service was very good. There were a couple of Christmas parties going on, but the service was still good. Had ordered chicken wings, but got a call on the way to say they had none left, so I could choose an alternative. When I arrived home the wings replacement were missing from the order, I called the restaurant and they said they would deliver them. The driver arrived 20 minutes later with the chicken kebabs as well as a bottle of Coke and and an extra portion of fries. This was unexpected. I was only looking for the chicken kebabs, but they decided to compensate me for the inconvenience. Nowadays most people just write to complain, generally looking for something for nothing, so I just thought I’d take this opportunity to praise the restaurant for excellent service, even though there was a little mistake to begin with. The food was excellent too.

Went on a cold evening in December and got good warm food to make you happy. Ordered lamb and chicken briyani for the family and did not disappoint. Veggie pakora was nice and crunchy. A must try if you are looking for Indian food in Aberdeen.

Went for dinner again last night. Like last time the meal was fantastic. Tandoori mixed grill was superb, and great value for money. 100% will be back.

Great little Indian restaurant, 2 mins walk away from my Hotel in Aberdeen.. not the greatest choice of dishes on the menu, but they did cook me what I wanted that wasn't on the menu. Only 1 small criticism is that they don't serve Alcohol. And I do like a nice pint of Kingfisher, or Cobra with my curry.

Had dinner here tonight food was superb they have excellent chefs staff are always polite and friendly nice atmosphere the lamb Bhuna l have with no green peppers is delicious you wont leave here disappointed l would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

No taste in food today, chicken tikka very dry wasn’t fresh, chicken jalfrezi taste less. Very poor service.

Walked in late as we couldn't find the place we were going to go to. I'm glad we did, starter and main food spot on and very tasty, only downside no alcohol served. But can take your own in if required. Price was very reasonable and would definitely recommend a try. We will no doubt be back.

Ok say I have given 5 stars for atmosphere but we had a takeaway, but i couldnt mark them down. Booked on line and meal ready and on time when i picked up. Delicious is the only word. Karahi Chicken nice and spicey the way we like it and saag gosht (lamb and spinach), was wonderful too. Lamb or mutton was large pieces but soooo tender. Rice and naan both very good. 2 mains 1 naan and 1 rice £30. Sorry forgot to take photos.

I expected a good Biryani and I was disappointed. It wasn’t upto the mark. After tasting, I could sense that they have just mixed rice and some spices. That’s not a Biryani. Guys, prepare the original way don’t fool the people.

It is a nice restaurant for those interested in spicy Pakistani or Indian cuisine. We certainly enjoyed our variety of meals and would highly recommend this restaurant.

The Chicken karahi did not meet the expectations however the lamb seekh kebab was delicious. The naan bread was exactly how it should be!

Nice restaurant with south asian touch. The food felt a little spicier than the indian counterpart, which called for a good dose of mango lassies. The waitresses are kind.

I booked a group dinner for 40 people here. The staffs here are really nice, and they let us preorder. For me and my group members, we seldom try Pakistani food. But all members in our group are satisfied with this meal and feels this is the best meal during our Scotland trip.

The Briani lamb is delicious spicy and not to dry. Nan Garlic also yummy soft in the inside. Recommended this briani restourant more than others in Aberdeen..

Good fast service, but waiters where undertrained! They don’t ask relevant questions. Such as mild or spicy? Any drinks? Etc Food was very good though some if the best curry I’ve had in scotland. Would recommend and would definitely return! Parking available street side they are on a busy road so don’t have a car park.

Lahore Karahi in Aberdeen left much to be desired. The overall experience was quite underwhelming. The service was slow and inattentive, with staff seeming disinterested in providing a pleasant dining experience. The food itself was disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor and depth, leaving us craving for more. The ingredients appeared mediocre, and the presentation was lackluster. What they served as ‘karahi’ to a seasoned foodie was just a curry and nothing to write home of. The BBQ was slightly better, but it couldn’t make up for the other dishes that were in the order! The food left very much to be desired. The atmosphere itself was dull and uninspiring, lighting was just off, seating uncomfortable and space felt cramped, further diminishing the overall ambiance. Lahore Karahi failed to live up to its reputation, and we left feeling unsatisfied. If you're looking for authentic and flavourful Pakistani cuisine in Aberdeen, it's best to explore other options.

This was an excellent meal the service was good. The only downside was bring your own wine .Will be back to see Sam and his staff.

Delicious Lahori style food, we tried Haleem Naan, Seekh kebabs and chicken curry, all were Lahori taste, lassi and orange juice was awesome too. Service was very quick and toilets were extremely clean. We enjoyed a lot.

The food is really good, the price is extremely reasonable and the behavior of the young ladies who work there is also extremely polite and welcoming. However, the same cannot be said of the single male staff. We found his behavior quite sullen and unwelcoming to be honest. It is a bit unusual when one thinks of good customer service.

Have visited this little gem on a good few occasions..never let down...menu is maybe a bit different from run of the mill venues..but that is a plus. The staff are very friendly and helpful..does not have a license to sell alcohol, so bring your own bottle, with no surcharge...carryout meals are catered for as well..great place to nip in for a quick meal if stuck for time..

We came to Aberdeen for a holiday from Edinburgh. We went to this place today to have some lunch at 4.35ish but we couldn't even seat down. A staff member came and said we can take a seat but have to leave 5.30ish as they need the table which is understandable but when we asked to seat somewhere else he said the same too. How could every single seat in your place gets booked was there a party or something??? the guy clearly didn't explain or wasn't interested in customers. He could have been polite to us or could have told us to come back another day or whatever time we could come back. he just turned us off completely He doesn't even know how to talk to customers. That was very rude how he treated us very disappointed. You shouldn't let your customers walk away like that. So learn some customer service Wil never visit or recommend.

Came here 18:00 on Saturday. We used an Itison voucher which was great value. The food was delicious - I would recommend the chicken bhuna. I would definitely come back again soon.

Food excellent but..we read in a web site we can bring a bottle of wine for no extra charge. Scam. We were asked to pay 10 £ if we want our alcoholic drink. If we knew it we would of not going there because we wanted at least to enjoy our dinner with a glass of wine. Lovely food but we won't go back there.

Great atmosphere, excellent hospitality & customer service and above all delicious food. The price was a bit expensive but flavor closest to real Indo-Pak taste is worth the money.

The ambience is very good and the customer service is quick. We ordered biriyani and the taste was good. The portion was much less compared to the previous time. The price is slightly higher for the taste and the portion. But this is one of the better place to have biriyani in Aberdeen.

Curries are poor, for the price i paid it is just not good enough... How can they be charging £3 just for 1 bread? I went to Rehmats the next day and much better service, food and prices! The staff at Lahore dont even seem like they enjoy their job and dont want to be there.

For a specialist "karahi" place, this was a pure disappointment.. the lamb and the chicken karahi was a let down with the sauces having no touch of lahore.. it was more like a glorified takeaway.. the mixed grill was ok hence 3 stars. I won't come back again sorry.

My meal was horrible. My delivery was 30mins late. The curry was not what i ordered. It was also tasteless and my bag of poppadoms was crumbled. The naan wasn't good either. I was actually shocked at how bad it was considering how high the price was. Didnt eat it. Had to throw it out.

Biryani was excellent and huge portion too. Pakoras taste really fresh. And as usual I had to try something what I never heard of. I went with Methi chicken and wasn't disappointed at all. Let's not forget both lady staff who were great too.

Costumer service very poor Food not worth the price

A few steps from the Premier Inn where I was for the weekend. I went on consecutive nights for properly cooked and spiced food. No alcohol although I understand you can bring your own. My food was of the highest order and really decent portions too. May not have the glitz of other places but really nice and good people. Recommended.

I came here at 18:30 on Saturday night - it was unusually quiet inside. The food was delicious. I would recommend the Chicken Chilli Masala. The service was good. My waitress got my order wrong, but she kindly gave me another dish to make up for her mistake (which was nice). The prices are reasonable. Our bill came to just over £30 for two people. The location is on King Street, just up from Morrisons towards the Lemon Tree direction. There is no WiFi and they don’t serve alcohol. Overall we had a nice experience and would come back again.

It's a cozy place to celebrate your happy moments 🤠🤣🤣 we had mixed kabab pllater and Lahore Karahii chicken and lamb curries with butter Nans they are generous with butter, food was amazing. I would say they are good at preparing karahi dishes. Platter was excellent and quantity is big enough to serve 4 people. Well bill was moderate. The girl was very patient and friendly service. Overall happy bunny had very nice time with friends.💯😆

The waitress was quite inattentive and took a LONG time to take our order and clear plates. It was very loud in the restaurant as there were some very noisy children. The food I had was underwhelming, the pakoras were dry and bland, the chicken tikka balti was very bland there was no spice to be seen there, although the biryani was nice. The menu told you very little about the dishes.

We chose to go here primarily as it was the closest curry house to the football stadium but it was really good. The starter selection we had was smashing, as were the curries and sides. BYOB (with a corkage fee) added to the good value. I will go back again.

This is a tricky one. The place is crammed up, full of people! The service takes forever! The food wasn’t too bad though slightly overpriced I would say. We enjoyed their chicken seekh kebabs. The karahi literally had 4 chicken pieces in it which was quite strange considering the amount of money we are spending to eat the food of our land! Their roti was the star of the show. If there is nothing else to eat and you are dying Of hunger then this is the place to go.

Thought we’d give it another try whilst on travels. V slow service. And food received not as stated on menu. Or the menu is not accurate , needs to be changed. Seekh kebab are nice. Lamb in mixed grill was nice n soft .
