Shish-In-Stead Potterton in Aberdeenshire

First take away since Shish relocated to Potterton and it didn’t disappoint . Food and service was second to none.Will continue to use this superb Indian restaurant. Well worth visiting.

Lovely food and excellent service

First time we’ve ever ordered a takeaway from Shish-In-Stead Potterton and it did not disappoint. We were given a warm welcome by staff. Food was amazing - good value too. We will certainly be back again.

We had a lovely dinner here on Saturday with a large group of friends. Would definitely recommend, food was amazing. Cant wait to come back!

We have been several times now to sit in and have had a good experience every time. It's been refurbished really nicely. Staff always pleasant and attentive. Food is delicious. We will definitely be back again.

Absolutely lovely food, and they cannot do enough to help you. Portion size is generous.

The food is a bit expensive but it's definitely worth it. Was estimated 90 mins delivery but came in twenty minutes.

We were gutted when the Shish moved from the Brig Inn at Bridge of Don but ordered a takeaway tonight and was delighted that our regular go to meals chicken balti/ malai masala were as tasty as ever 😋

We had a fantastic meal at the stead last night. Starters and mains were delicious. The service was spot on and a great atmosphere. Thank you to Joe and his staff for making us very welcome.

Brilliant curries that taste the best We had fish curry and it was the best.

Fantastic selection of classic dishes but the real gems are in the House Specials. Great fresh flavours and can spice up to your needs/bravery. Great atmosphere, super friendly and attentive services, lovely decor to match the experience and a real gem of a bar next door for a pre/post meal drink. All round great experience and highly recommended

The Restaurant looks absolutely stunning and definitely creates the desired atmosphere. The food and service were both equally top class , as it always has been. We are so pleased that the restaurant is now open and look forward to another 20 years plus of continued patronage. You guys simply are the best and worth the 90mile round trip everytime. Really disappointing. First off, £35 for two curries, 1 rice and 1 naan is really very expensive, particularly when the quality is not great. We had a korma and a tikka masala - both very bland, more flavour in the coconut rice than in either curry. Won’t be coming back for a while :(

I have been a regular user of Shish-In-Stead for the last year as a takeaway service. Excellent menu choice and sizeable portions. Great to see the progress being made on refurbishment of the restaurant, looking forward to enjoying a sit in meal.

Always amazing food, pre-ordered delivery option is a great service as you know exactly when your food will arrive! The jumbo king prawns are to die for!!

Although our order was late….. Good quality dishes. Unfortunately, the garlic bread was inedible, laced massively with garlic and chilli, we love both but it was way too much. Our order wasn’t correct but the rest of the food was delicious.

I can't praise this takeaway enough, ordering online is so easy, it's always ready on time for collection and the food is first class, I've gone from thinking Indian is ok as a takeaway to craving food from this Indian , keep up the good work 😁💖

Having briefly searched online I found this place by pure chance food was outstanding and actually finished the starter in the car on the way home and the naan bread was melt in your mouth, will definately be back next time I’m up this way and I recommend the dopiaza top drawer !!!!

Abysmal curry takeaway tonight. Worst curry I’ve had in years £36 for absolute garbage. Bland tasteless food had to throw it in the bin. Frozen veg sauce shocking could of boiled my sock and it would of had more taste. Takeaway will be shut shortly if that’s the dross they serve up won’t be back.

Ordered chicken pakora, chicken jaipuri and pilau rice. It was absolutely lovely, as is anything you get from the Shish. Not such a convenient location but well worth the short trip from the Bridge of Don. Will definitely be returning.

Some of the best vegetable pakora I have ever had. The lamb saag was delicious as was the naan bread. I have had 2 carry outs delivered and will definitely use going forward.

Tried the lamb buhna tonight it was hands down the best one I have tried from a takeaway anywhere north of Glasgow , the waiting time of 45 mins shows the effort that's put into the cooking 👌

Ordered three curries, rice and a garlic naan for collection. All were very tasty. We will be back for another treat again sometime soon.
