Service tonight was awful can tell they are changing ownership as they had no interest and the meals were missing items and tasted awful!

completly wrong order and one dish we ordered was for a veggie and we got a chicken madrass. and only half the order was delivered. and when we called in the guy seem confused about our order. Been looking forward to our supper all day and that happens.

Haven't used Laxmi for a while but food we ordered tonight and service was excellent. Would definitely use again.

Always use Laxmi for our indian takeaway as they are the best in town by far!Food always arrives either on time or nice and earlier than expected, always hot and fresh cooked.What we also love is that you get little free extras like salad , poppadoms and sides.

Food just a treat. They were busy due to it being Saturday night so the delivery was going to be an hour and 20 mins but came within the hour. Highly recommend. Thanks guys 👍

Staying in Peterhead on a golfing holiday we found Laxmi, now called Zara’s, when we looked for somewhere to eat dinner after a long day at the golf-course. Excellent food and friendly and efficient service. Strongly recommended if you like Indian food.

Now renamed Zara’s- same owner- shame that they had not decided to keep up food and service standards.3 of us, two ordered Bhunas- greasy, tasteless, chewy lamb stew. One ordered Korma - tasteless and completely bland. We drew this poor quality food to the waiters attention- he apologised and walked away. After a few moments my friend with the korma called the waiter back, again telling him the food was dreadful and asking for a doggy bag as the Norma was sooooooo bland she was not going to eat it but would take it home for her dog. No problem says the waiter and gets her a box!!We all left our food, tried complaining to the owner at the till, he was sorry too, and handed us our bill £68 for food we could not eat. We paid and left, none of us or our families will return. Worst Indian I have ever eaten in

One of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to. Plenty choice and good value for money. Service excellent and staff and owner very tentative and friendly. Food delicious and plenty of it and even a doggy bag. Started doing entertainment but unfortunately we left before they started so can’t comment on that. This is our Indian now when we visit. Nothing was a problem for them.

Recently visited Laxmi for a meal, it was delicious, the staff were so attentive. It is great to see they now have a variety of live entertainment on Friday & Saturday's, something which is lacking in the town. Great night had, good food, great range of drinks especially the gins, lovely staff, great atmosphere a must for a visit.

Having ordered a carry out from Laxmi we can only say it was below average. The chicken dishes had plenty chicken but it was not cut up small enough so was really hard to cut or chew. I took a garlic chilli chicken but the chilli did not seem to be there as there was no spice to it. Others on the family complained about there dishes as well. Only thing going on that meal was the Peshwari nan bread

We had the buffet this last Sunday and it was great, had not been for a while but it was nice to see it was busy and no wonder as it must be the best buffet in Peterhead, great service, and really nice food, loved the haggis pakora.

went for a buffet with family, options were limited but the currys were very enjoyable, staff very helpful and regularly checking up on us although the young girl was rushed away from our table by the manager by the looks of it. the hagis pakoras were a questionable choice aswell drinks very expensive though overall good night

Food was ok but too cold so we had to heat it up. Onion bhajies were burnt to the point u couldn't eat them which was annoying

Food was reasonable but lacking in flavour compared to other local Indian restaurants. Mix up in restaurant lead to my order being handed to someone else, so had to wait for order to be remade. The other customer returned to hand in the wrong order and to collect theirs, then 2 mins later my order was ready. Most of the food was hot but some parts cold, so suspect they swapped bits around with the order that was returned. Was too hungry to care at this point. Overall, food was decent but needs more flavour. Customer service needs improvement (especially when checking the orders they hand out, worth confirming with customer what is in the bag matches their meal. The other restaurants do).

Fuimos anoche con la familia para el buffet después de leer las buenas críticas de aquí (también Nazma estaba completo) Qué decepción! El mínimo selección en el "buffet" era sosa, en el mejor de los casos. El tipo que creo que ser el gerente estaba constantemente para preguntarnos si estábamos terminado y nos hicieron sentir que estábamos apurando la salida de la puerta para conseguir su cinta transportadora de intenciones en movimiento. No volveré!

Another fantastic night at The Laxmi, The food was very tastey and hot. The service was friendly and prompt. One of the best places in Peterhead. I recommend you give them a try, sit in or take away. Winner winner .

So dissapointed!! We ordered our takeaway, collected it and when we arrived home we put all the food out on the table for family to enjoy and we realised they forgot 2 items on our order!!! I called and asked if they could deliver the missing items, as this was their mistake and we had already sat down to dinner and they said they would charge delivery unless i collected it.... I went down to the resteraunt once again to collect the missing items as felt it would be quicker than them calling a taxi to deliver it and i wasnt paying a penny more ..... our order was over £50 as it is, they gave us a small portion of pakora to say sorry and told us we must understand it was a big order........ (it was for 4 people) however i felt this was unacceptable as just eat is obviously typed out for them and its a simple tick off the items. By the time i got home everyone had eaten what items they had because it would have got cold otherwise and i was left to eat my cold dinner on my own. Dissapointed is not the word! Our whole family will never use them again!

Pakoras weren't spicy at all were more like chicken fillets didn't taste very nice.

One of the worst Indians we've ever had unfortunately. We only had korma's, chicken was tough and sauce similar to what you'd find in a jar. Mushroom pilau was too greasy and mushrooms tasted odd, plain pilau also greasy both were overloaded with cardamom. Lots went straight in the bin, never again!!!

According to the menu Jalfrezi is supposed to be fairly hot and spicy but my one was lacking in both spicy flavour and chilli heat

Can't really remember much about it, as I was well and truly hammered, but everybody told me it was a great night.

Food wasn't that hot when it arrived however it was edible. Bhuna was LOADED with onions which wasn't very nice, although they were large pieces of chicken there were only 5-6 bits in the meal. Pakora was strange. Bread was burnt. Not overly impressed. Will probably start using another Indian take away in town. Last two orders have been the same. Very poor.

Butter chicken was tasteless with no flavour of any spice, a week Korma colour which butter chicken should not be. Tandoori chicken was not cooked in a tandoori oven in this restaurants kitchen, pre made and tough. Would def not use this take away again.

The popadoms were soft obviously not fresh made couldnt eat them both our main dishes were watered down. Was very poor quality. Will not be ordering again

When i visit my parents in Peterhead we often go to Laxmi for a meal. The food is absolutely excellent and keeps us coming back. You will NOT leave hungry! Staff are fantastic.

Jalfrezi tikka was very nice. So was the garlic Naan and starter! Nice meal will be back for another order.

Estado mirando los comentarios y pensé que sería un buen lugar para comer. Tras coger la comida a casa (20 km en coche cada sentido) mala elección de mí. Pan nan era viejo definitivamente no hizo hoy. inicial era muy pequeña (hongos, s 3) pollo pakora, 6 bits de pollo que te dan en la tienda congelador unos 5 mm de espesor. El cordero en ambas comidas fue hecha y no de buena calidad y que era difícil comer. Tanto mi comida, y el de mi mujer era poner en la comida basura. No malgastes tu dinero en este lugar hay un montón de buenos lugares de comida Peterhead. Muy decepcionado con la calidad de la comida.

The Naan bread was burnt and the korma sauce very thin but apart from that it was okay

After paying £8.50 for a bag of no more than 10 chicken nuggets for my kids, value for money is not a priority clearly. Pilau rice - loads of thick clumps of rice moulded together, left me thinking it was freshly made that. The pakoras - strangely less in the bag then there has been when I have collected my order from the premises. The taste of the food I cannot fault but the above issues has struck laxmi off our list

Laxmi is on another level. If I was to take a guess, I would say level 13. Probably up against the boss at the end, and winning. It felt as though when I was devouring my chicken korma that god had reached down and placed his hand under my chin, for no reason at all other than to be a part of this moment. The chicken was so soft I could suck it through a straw. The sauce... If the sauce were to be a painting it would be the mona lisa, or the painting of the famous baby in that friends episode that joey's flatmate hung on the wall beside the kitchen. I really liked the food. I will buy the food again.

Fantastic!! Collected the food rather than delivery and the service was great - accidentally ordered the wrong kind of Naan and then an very kindly gave us another one for free. Also told us to sit in the car and he would come out with the order. Got the food home it was piping hot and the BEST Indian I've had. Definitely recommend and will order again!!!

Couldn't fault a thing with this order. Food was excellent and piping hot. Service at the restaurant for collection was very pleasant. I would highly recommend collection rather than delivery as all our past orders have been cold by the time they had arrived.

Takeaway food was very mild compared to what u get sitting in. For one of the dishes we got a choice of mild, medium or hot but not for the other 2 we ordered. Food was warm enough to eat but delivery was 15 minutes after expected time of delivery.

Very poor service ordered 3 meals and when it got here I was missing a nan bread I phoned and told them so they said they would send someone else straight away I phoned them again 15 minutes late still not appeared 25 minutes later my man bread appeared freezing. Phoned to complain and all they said was sorry no refund no complimentary service definitely expected more as have ordered so many times before. Poor £35 spent... Never again

The Korma was a lot more liquidy / thin that usual. My chips was missing from the order. However delivery was very quick and the chips were delivered within minutes of me calling. I would still use this takeaway service again.
