Carron to Mumbai Restaurant in Aberdeenshire

Night out with a couple of friends. Food was good but not fantastic, service team were lovely and helpful. Large resturaunt area but very few people in and somewhat cold despite electric heater by table.

We had a lovely meal again last night to celebrate our anniversary. The staff are so attentive and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes superb Indian food and has not tried it.

Only got a takeaway so can't really comment on the atmosphere but the food was rather bland and dull unfortunately for me and my partner's taste.

Carry out, quick and friendly service, food great as ever.

Accommodated our party of 8 at short notice and gave us fantastic service all evening. Fabulous food and a truly unique setting. Must visit when in Stonehaven.

Amazing food. Amazing staff. Great prices. Heard it was really good. It was better than that. The staff was top notch: felt like a five star hotel restaurant. The ambience was wonderful: classic decor, very restful yet upscale. I simply came with friends who liked it before and I’m sold. This is the place to eat dinner in Stoney if you are taking a day trip and love a good meal.

The food was less than average. The building is nice, however, the lights of place can be better and the toiles were not clean.

Excellent meal, will definitely go again

First visit here and was extremely impressed with the whole experience. Managing to park at the door, receiving a very professional welcome and shown to a very comfortable table in the beautiful art deco restaurant. Although they can offer all the traditional Indian favourites they have a different and unique menu that reads very well. The dishes my wife and I enjoyed were excellent as was the service. A great experience and we will certainly revisit many times.

Everything about this restaurant is exceptional especially the service which was friendly and responsive.

We've eaten in the restaurant a few times and always enjoyed the food so we asked if they could cater for our wedding in the Stonehaven Town Hall and do a buffet. Everything was perfect, everyone loved the food. Thank you so much Raj at the team.

Straight up, best Indian food outside of Bradford. Been the last 2 night and both nights, we've left amazed at how good the food is. Well worth a ride out, staff are great too and they do takeaway. Butter chicken is sublime👌👌👌

Onion Bhaji - Crispy and full of flavor, the Onion Bhaji is a perfect starter. It's golden fried to perfection and served with a delicious dipping sauce.

The Prawn Rogan Josh is bursting with flavor! The prawns are tender and the sauce has the perfect balance of spices. Truly satisfying!

Karahi Chicken Aloo Keema Bhuna - This Karahi Chicken Aloo Keema Bhuna is an absolute hit! The spices are bold, and the combination of minced chicken and potatoes is heavenly.

The Pakora is lightly fried, with a perfect crispy texture and rich, aromatic spices. It's a great way to start the meal.

We stopped by on our trip around Scotland and decided to have a Indian meal for dinner. Wow the food was absolutely amazing we loved it..I collect it and walked 15 mins to our motorhome and it was still piping hot. The nan was delicious as was the popadoms and pickles. The gentleman who served me at the restaurant was very kind and polite. All in all an amazing experience..The restaurant looks beautiful with gorgeous decor. It comes very highly recommended and we will be definitely dropping by when we are next in the area…thanks again. Mark and Emma

Spicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked prawns—the Zaflongy King Prawn is delicious.

What a lovely Indian restaurant this is. Great food, lovely atmosphere and an attentive team. We arrived quite late though they were happy to sit myself and my partner down and serve us some wonderful food. The chef knew what he was doing as the dish I had was the Phaall and it was lovely. I don’t normally take pictures of my food before demolition but the presentation here deserved some attention. If you are looking for a decent curry while in Stonehaven look no further. Will definitely return here next time we are around the area.

We were recommended this restaurant whilst in Scotland on a walking holiday so made the 40 minute trip to eat there. We were not disappointed. The venue is stunning, service was superb and food was delicious.

We had a lovely meal at the Carron to Mumbai. We were celebrating my birthday. We shared a starter which was delicious and plenty for the two of us. My husband had the chicken tikka masala, and I had Chicken Jalfreezi with a peshwari naan. Service was great. As it was a Tuesday evening at 1830, the restaurant wasn’t full but I imagine the atmosphere is buzzing on a busy night. I had looked to forward to having a cocktail in the train carriage bar but it appeared to not be in use. We will definitely return

The restaurant is crossing and accessible from 2 different streets. Not very busy when we went, the food was very good.

First time trying Carron to Mumbai and we weren’t disappointed. The menu was fully explained to us including all the variations we could order. The food was so good and really full of fresh flavours which we hadn’t tried before. The portion sizes were huge and we couldn’t finish our mains which is very unusual for us. The building itself is very interesting with the Art Deco style and awesome paint colours. We will definitely be back next time we are in Stonehaven

We were there early on a Friday. Attentive staff, good food, pleasant surroundings- what more do you need. And good value! Tis worth the run down from Aberdeen - try this instead of fish and chips the next time you have a run down to Stoney!

Decided to try this restaurant as a friend had heard good things about this place. Well I won’t be back.!!!Table booked for 8pm and food wasn’t served until 9.15pm. We asked a few times where food was and was told it was just coming. The waiter had a right attitude when we complained and shrugged his shoulders. They then decided to give us our chips and nan bread when we finished our main meal. We told them to take it away as was meant to be with our meal.....Wild Ginger, Rishi or Shrebeema far superior!
