Arrivati tardi all'albergo dopo una giornata di viaggio, abbiamo scoperto che al piano terra c'è un ristorante indiano dove il proprietario della struttura si diletta in cucina. Cena spettacolare, con piatti buonissimi, abbondanti, tutti preparati al momento e con prezzi insolitamente bassi per la media scozzese. Superconsigliato se siete in zona.

Excellent Indian food in a casual, sweet atmosphere. The owner was welcoming and the service was excellent. We would return.

Am a regular user of this restaurant as a takeaway. Food is excellent, staff are friendly and it is very good value. Matthew.

Had a lovely meal with my daughter to celebrate her passing her hairdressing college course. My madras was great and she loved her bhuna. We were the only people sitting in, they seem to survive on takeaways (Insch is a tiny village). Food and service great. They share the building with the local village pub (the only pub) which is a very local pub. Ample parking, with a friendly atmosphere and a good selection of beer. Will defo go back when in the vicinity. Recommend it.

Thank you to Mo and family for a lovely meal experience with great friendly attentive service. We are a family group of six and everyone enjoyed different dishes and scoffed the lot. I will definitely recommend to sit in for a meal and also for carry out and always fresh and good quality food 🥘.

Highly recommend this Indian. Five stars. We were a party of 16 and the service was prompt and efficient. All the food was excellent quality.

Great food, portion size was good i had a chicken pathia with a plain nan which was really good, no complaints from the rest of the family

Great, tasty food. Lamb Madras was hot and tasty. We also had Chicken Jalfrezi - again really tasty Starters were excellent with a really good choice. Attentive staff enhanced the experience.

Thanks Bashir for the lovely curry’s. My wife and I recommend the chicken tikka masala and chicken bhoona dishes and mixed pakora. Love the little pots of sauces with this and lemon cashew rice is lovely. This holiday come to Insch for a nice meal and sit in or have fresh curry to take away. Very attentive and friendly staff. The food is hot and excellent quality.

We had food for 4 and we all enjoyed the dishes we had. They were tasty and filling and just what we needed. Really very pleased. The peshwari nan could have had a bit more filling though!

Takeaway food is hot, normally correct and tasty. Sometimes, annoyingly you might have to wait 5 minutes at collection. This maybe due to backup

Me, my mum and my dad went to cafe mint for dinner I ordered the pashweri nan and chicken corma. After I ordered it took about 20 minutes to come, when it came the pashweri nan was really good and so was my korma we all enjoyed it so much We will defiantly go again it was amazing. Best Indian I’ve been to in a while.

Eaten here plenty of times (sit in and take away) and always been happy with the food and service. The hotel the restaurant is located in is showing its age and don’t let the disgusting cigarette wall bin by the hotel’s main entrance put you off.

Ordered takeaway of Chicken Pakora, Chicken Pathia, rice and naan bread. The pakora had no batter, was bright red and had a slimy texture. Maybe they gave us the wrong dish ?The Pathia was not quite so radioactive but tasted average. Rice OK but naan hard. Would not go back.

Had a lovely meal here with a friend lastnight and would recommend this to anyone who is in the area . I had the chicken Jalfrezi and it was very good . The service was swift and very efficient and the waiter friendly and helpful . Will definitely be back when I am in the area .

Tasty Indian food though very stingy with chicken...whole tray of sauce with 4 pieces of chicken, not really value for money as it’s pretty expensive. Portion sizes aren’t great at all. The sauces can be slightly wishy washy at times also. Don’t eat in as they really rip you off with alcohol despite it being 2 steps away from a pub. They added £10 onto a bottle of wine just for carrying it through from the bar. Nice food but feel they take the mick a bit because there’s no competition in Insch.

Had an excellent meal here with friends would highly recommend!! Our first visit was a few years ago and the service and food is just as good!!

I've eaten in many Indians and this one is by no means a bad one. It just isn't particularly amazing either... saying that, it is the only one around for miles, so I guess they don't have much competition.

Let me start by saying that when we visit family in the NE Scotland we ALWAYS swing in past here for at least one meal. So, the place is attached to the local pub, handy for drinks and keeps it all in one location. Yes its small, there are 4/6 tables but that jut keeps it nice and exclusive and cosy!

Waited 95 minutes for 2 starters and 1 main course and naan - most certainly was not worth the wait !

Love it here. Always good quality food and great prices compared to Aberdeen. Nothing fancy but definitely worth a visit.

For a small village takeaway & restaurant this place is a hidden gem. Don’t expect anything fancy, just enjoy the food and company and you won’t be disappointed. It’s a bonus having the pub next door too - enjoy a pint while you wait.

popped in on a sunday night at 5pm...NO-ONE to be seen...eventually someone came out of the kitchen (he had been preparing a takeaway...)

Top choice for a takeaway. Great service and quality meal. The meal deal is a personal favourite and goes down well with all the family.

Been here a few times and had delicious food each and every time, well priced and good portions, great service and willing to cater for special orders.

Cafe Mint is a good little Indian restaurant (despite it's confusing name) with a 6 table dining room as well as take-away service. It's attached to the village pub - so no problem getting a drink here.

the food to sit in and take away is always excellent, Mo who is always first point of contact always greets you with a friendly smile and provides an excellent service.

Second group night out and the food was as good as the first time round. Mo is an excellent host and the food was fantastic as always.

Great service and really good value for money. Telephone orders are always prepared quickly. The staff are really friendly when you go in.

The best chicken korma I've ever had! Everything was so fresh and tasty. The staff were extremely friendly too. It's not often that we'd write a review however most definitely warranted. We look forward to our next visit. So glad we've found you, thank you!

We were in Insch, Scotland for 2 nights, first night we went to Café Mint the food was brilliant the restaurant was small be really nice and intimate and last but not least was Mo our waiter/owner who was exceptional so much so we went there again the following night.Thank you Mo for adding to our fantastic stay in Scotland, hope to see you in the near future

Very friendly staff, fairly extensive varied menu. Good value for money. Food was fresh, nicely presented and decent portion sizes. My only suggestion would be some more veggie options.

My two friends and i were here for a meal after having a few pints in the adjoining bar (The Commercial). We had a starter and main course and basically we could not fault any of the dishes. the staff were polite and attentive and the whole meal plus the drinks were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Family of 3 arrived at the restaurant and was shown to the table quickly, we were the only one dining in although there were at least 5 other people waiting for their takeaway order. It is located next to a pub so people can actually go for a drink while waiting for their order. Very clever.We started with poppadums that were very light, non-oily and very crunchy. It was my first visit although my other 2 family members had dine a couple of times, they were the one who recommended the restaurant to me. The poppadums alone won me over and I was looking forward to my main course, love the mango chutney which was just right unlike some places where it taste thick and sticky.I had the tandoori briyani with prawns, chicken and lamb, very generous portions of prawns and chicken, the lamb was very tender. Very impressed.Rest of the family had jalfrezi and another curry that I cannot recall, just as lovely as well. The staff were courteous, friendly and very attentive.Had a lovely time and look forward to being back soon.

Excellent food - always! Managed to serve a large group of us without any of us sitting around waiting. Great atmosphere with plenty of banter. Highly recommend!

We've ordered takeaway from here heaps and every time it's fantastic. The flavours are awesome and you can taste the freshness! The chef here has a great palette, the blend of spices is second to none. Only downside is the lack of thought with the side salad, it's plain and bagged. Not nice. Also it's quite expensive.

Was looking forward to this all week and it didn't dissapoint. Chaps were helpful and welcoming. Menu was great, could have chosen so much! The take away meal was excellent. I had chicken tikka bhuna. Loved it. Absolutely no complaints. Nice to have the poppadoms and sauces as a compliment. A nice touch and much appreciated. Can't wait to come back to Insch, so we can have another curry! Thank you!

Weekend takeaway. Fast, friendly service. We had a shared Mixed Pakora followed by MintSpecial Chicken Tikka Jaal and Sylheti Special from the "New Favourites Menu. Both delicious, would order again.

Great Indian meals always used as carry out in the past, but sitting in is very nice and of course the food is still as great.

When you walk in you would not expect it but this is a gem of a restaraunt in insch. They make very good Indian food and are a little bit cheaper than Aberdeen Indian places as well. If you are in the area I highly recommend. But note the spicy dishes here are really spicy!

No great expectations in the sleep village of Insch but as soon as we were welcoming this trad space formed out of part of the neighbouring pub we began to relax. All the old favourites freshly put together . Ace.

Had a big take away from here last night for 6, tons of food, excellent value and really tasty curries, we all had different dishes and they were all really tasty, just the right balance of spices and heat, gets better every time!

You have got to try this amazing Indian Restaurant – you won’t be disappointed. Every meal we have tried is so authentic. Our favourites are Chicken Tikka Passanda, Prawn Methi Gusht, Saag Aloo, Lemon & Cashew Nut Rice, Garlic Fried Rice & Garlic Naans. This is an actual Tandoori Restaurant with a charcoal fire in a clay oven that makes the most wonderful Tandoori food.Don’t be put off by the fact that it is inside the Comercial Hotel as the Restaurant is separate to the bar area. We love the fact that you can go into the bar & have a few lagers before you go & eat your curry. Everyone in the bar is friendly & you can place your order while you are having a drink, playing pool, darts or reading the paper before you are taken to your table.Yes, there are only a few tables in the Restaurant, but we find that adds to the charm of the place. It feels like you are special guests at Mo & his Father’s home & they are cooking just for you. You are made to feel so welcome. Alternatively you can have a take away.We can’t wait to get back for another meal as the food is so authentic – it is our mission to work our way through the whole menu !!!

I love this place...we only have their takeaways but every dish has been great and the staff are really friendly. The menu is varied and caters for those who like really spicy food to those who prefer it mild. Their lamb sylheti is wonderful -and I don't normally touch lamb! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

This place, I had my doubts walking in as it is in the same building as a pub and that was just across the hall way. It was empty and we were the only ones there for the whole time we were there. It only had about 6-8 tables in it as well. When all the food came my mind was put as ease as it was great and the waiter was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. I guess the saying is true don't judge a book by its cover as this was great tasting food. Reasonable prices as well. It also seemed like they had a strong takeaway business happening when we were there too. Would eat here again for sure.

Had a takeout from the Mint Cafe, simply delicious, chicken pasanda wall sublime, have not enjoyed food like this for ever such a long time, will return to a sit down meal.

Food was mediocre n service was good. There was nobody else in the restaurant which did not help to create a good atmosphere. Also it is very small with only about 4 tables

We love Cafe Mint and go frequently - often we sit in to save doing dishes at home and the staff are so friendly and chatty, we feel very much at home there. Good choice of curries and extras, and we've tried a good few dishes and never been disappointed. My husband loves the Saag Gusht especially. Nawabi chicken or lamb is one of my faves. Starters and Naans are lovely. We won't go far past Cafe Mint for curry :)

Have used this Indian several times in the past few years and not a compliant yet - food is brilliant and waiters are always willing to recommend something a bit different if your not sure what you want. Atmosphere is lovely and service is great

Ate at Cafe Mint as we often do when we visit the area, yet again excellent food, I have yet to eat better Indian Food anywhere. The Staff are always friendly and attentive, without being annoying!!try it you will not be disappointed.

Me and my friend decided to go into cafe mint for our supper one night and I ordered a pashweri nan chicken pakoras and a korma. Just after we ordered our meals the guy went back into the kitchen and had obviously sent one of his minions back out to watch us for some reason which made me quite annoyed. After I got the wrong change we ate our meals and the nan was absolutely tasteless, the pakoras were soggy and the chicken in the korma was terrible. Worst indian in the north east.

Cafe Mint in the heart of Insch: very tasty Indian food made with an understanding how that must happen. Recommended!

Been here twice now and one of the best Indian Restaurants I have been to. The food was delicious and piping hot. Brilliant service too. Will definitely be back.
