Food arrived cold, portions were small. Only 4/5 small bits of chicken in the curry. Looked like it was out a pack of pre cooked chicken from the supermarket- not worth the money for what you get! First time ordering and don’t think I would order again.

Not very welcoming 😕 chicken was very small in my curry 😕 and only got 6 bits same in my wife's, my nan was not cooked properly and garlic dip with pizza was disgusting first I've tried this place won't again

foods great when u get it but it was late and missing an item - credit where it's due though the delivered the missing item with wings to apologise- place isn't bad id just maybe order for collection is all

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful and the decor was lovely. All this made a visit to the Bishopton Tandoori a very enjoyable experience.

Another delicious dinner at Bishopton Tandoori. The chef excels at bringing through the flavours in the milder dishes such as the mug korma, while the hydrabhadi added some zing to the palette. Hari and Riki were their usual attentive selves and great to chat with.

Our local Indian restaurant main street through Bishoton. Lovely friendly atmosphere staff are very friendly lovely people. Medium sized area booth seating with free tables in centre. Menu extensive both Indian and European foods. Indian food is amazing couldn't pick a favourite as all so tasty good portion size too.Nothing is a problem special requests catered for. Great place for couples and families and singletons never out of place. Always look forward to having an Indian in Bishopton Tandorri.

The order was not accurate, again

Delivery time was as expected on a Saturday night but the curry was light on chicken and the food was cold which was a shame as it was lovely.

We waited 1 hour and 40 mins from the point of order. Our pakora and naan were cold and we didn’t get any Poppadoms. I called to complain and they did send out fresh pakora and Poppadoms but overall very poor and disappointing. Will not order again!

Been going to this resturant since opened. Can't go now my wife is unable to travel. Ordered a chefs platter and chips for delivery. 90 % went in bins was stone cold waited 1 hr 20 minutes. Not impressed wont be going back again. Food quality has gone down was really disappointed.. Bigfranktheyank

Lovely impromptu night out for dinner at the tandoori. Food was beautiful, really fresh and good menu choices. Service was attentive and overall it was great value.

Missing items, cold and bland flavour for all dishes. Wouldn't recommend.

8 hungary work colleagues…. mixed starters were served to us about 1 min after ordering and it was limp and tasteless . 8 different main currys ..All had the same gluppy sauce and no taste .. only difference was the colour. Avoid … Rice and Naan bread same story . On a positive note the beer was cold and well presented in a glass .

Expensive, awkward counter set up, made me feel uncomfortable. Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Food wasn't very hot and the donner meat tasted old and was dry and not very much of it. Also made my order wrong the first time. All round bad experience

Staff are so friendly and helpful. Food is so good whether you eat in or take away. Their delivery service is also very good. My favourite place.

Just left the restaurant myself and my wife Cheryl, we had a great meal and had the pleasure of meeting Harri, the owner. We couldn't have been made anymore welcomed, the food was fantastic the service was 1st class. My wife Cheryl was having a good conversation with Harri and finding out about his lovely family members, at the end of the meal we asked for a taxi to be called and Harri insisted that his wife dropped us off at our hotel (Marhall) which I thought was a lovely touch. If we are ever in the area again, I will be sure to call in for a great meal and service. Well done Harri, you have a great restaurant and a lovely family. It's a 5 🌟 from me.

Well what a little gem of a place this is....me and my husband where staying at Marhall for the weekend and went to the Bishopton Tandoori for food. The owner Harri made us feel more than welcome and the food was absolutely amazing so fresh and piping hot.we even got a cheeky wee lift back to Marhall from his wife Camy which was just amazing. Such lovely people! Its lovely when you find such an amazing family run business like this one. Keep up the good work guys! Yous are amazing 👏 ❤️. If you love Indian food this is the place to go. 10/10 from me. 🙌🙌🙌

Received Haggis Pakora instead of mushroom. We are going out didn’t phone for replacement. Delivery a bit later than told but driver very courteous .

Unfortunately my curry was really pretty watery but other than that everything was good.

Only four pieces of meat with the tandoori. Pakora sauce lacked taste & texture.

Pre-ordered, but still 20 minutes late & over £50 for three is restaurant prices for a takeaway.

Almost 2hrs wait and it was cold £32 for one small pakora 1 curry n 2 Nan bread , Bishopton Tandoori you’ve have definitely let your standards slip

One star is flattering. Awful.

First time I’ve binned a full meal. Water-pumped cheap chicken and a tasteless curry with a sour taste. Accompanied with cold rice and a paper thin naan. 1 star is flattering. Utter dogsh**

Just had a takeaway from Bishopto tantoori...it was awful...tasteless and a waste of money 1 main dish,1 nan bread, rice and pakora £35...wont be back...also told to pick up at 10 past the hour got served at half past...i picked up myself.

Popped in for a bite to eat on a very dark rainy evening. The warm welcome from the staff was much appreciated - they made me feel right at home. The pakora was fresh, piping hot and delicious. The chicken nentara came with a nice extra spice as requested. The service was fast & friendly from a cheery team.

Ordered a meal at 19.06 this evening. After a "chase up call", order was finally delivered at 8.45pm!!! Cold chips, cold rice... Joke of a place!!!

Moved job and began passing here on the way home, so stopped in a few times in the last few months. Out of the four visits, two of them were a nightmare. One order was someone else's food which I realised after I got home (4 miles away). The Manager refused to send out a delivery and I had to drive back to get my order. The latest fiasco was MEAT in a vegetarian dish!!!! I'm still swithering whether to report it to the FSA. The attitude I got this time was an apology and indifference once again. This place is obviously amateurs playing at being a professional restaurant. If this is their attitude and professionalism, I'd hate to see what goes on behind the counter and in the kitchen. Frankly the worst restaurant I've experienced in the West of Scotland. I'll never be back.

Especially enjoyed the Fish Markhani and lamb bhuna- the fish dish packed with fish , the Lamb lean and super tender - both delicious. Courteous service in bright and pleasant restaurant. Highly recommended.

Onion bhaji starter as moist as the menu it appeared on. Chicken Pasanda & Chicken Ceylonese Korma both incorrectly over-spiced and totally flat cola served with bacardi which ruined the drink with no offer of replacement drink.

Lovely restaurant, cosy interior, really good food and warm and prompt service. We were welcomed and taken care of by Luke who was friendly and polite and also one of the restaurant shareholders. I had the karahi paneer which they accommodated for me upon request and my wife had the tandoori chicken. Both meals were really tasty with quality ingredients and full of flavour. I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food as they have a wide selection of meals to accommodate for different tastes (e.g. if you don't like too much spice).

I’m a regular customer to both take away and dine in. So this is genuine unbiased feedback. I phoned in an order for 2 adults, 1 child, was told delivery would be 45 mins. After 75 mins no food. Phoned to be told the driver was ‘just leaving with my order’ and would be 15 mins (its a 10 min walk so not sure why the driver was going to take 15 mins!). A very flustered driver arrived (90 mins from my original order time) apologising as he’d ‘been sent’ to Inchinnan and Langbank before delivering my food. The food was by now stone cold so I had to heat it all up which took more time and completely ruined the point of ordering takeaway. To cap it all, my daughter found a piece of plastic (see picture) in her rice and the chicken was like hard jelly and the sauce was so bland. Oh, and the popadums were just a pile of crushed crumbs in a carrier bag. Went straight into the bin! Be honest with your customers, if the food is going to be late say so and don’t lie that the driver is ‘just leaving’ when clearly they are on a grand tour of Renfrewshire before delivering stone cold poor quality food. Shocking carry out service. I will not be back, not ever. A total waste of £32.

Great food and staff defo return

We called in last minute after flights cancelled warmly welcomed to a beautiful restaurant with excellent staff. Starters we shared a platter which was fresh chicken wings, mixed pakora, onion bhaji chicken chatty everything was delicious and fresh. Main course spicy korma and a speciality barbecue goan curry absolutely delicious. Staff chatted away happily but not intrusive amazing bollywood music playing on TV. Starters main courses drinks bread poppadoms and spiced onions which I could have finished myself delicious totaled £51 very reasonable will definitely go out of our way to visit again Thank you

Just been for our first visit to this restaurant and we will definitely be back, We were delighted with the food as you will see with our before and after photo. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. After having our lovely starters we were then asked if we would like our mains immediately or a little break, we loved that. When our mains were served they were delicious, and we were really happy with our choices even though we hadnt tasted these dishes before. We were offered drinks throughout and were never kept waiting. The staff chatted with us and offered a complimentary drink which we thought was a lovely gesture. Great friendly restaurant made us feel very welcome and cant wait to go back..

Not used this place for over a year very disappointing all the meat was hard the prawns tough clearly been out the sea long long time cooked prob days ago a bit pricey everything was reheat ,sauce was unspectacular, definitely a vase of pile it high get it out the door ,wont be back

I was disappointed with the takeaway from here which seemed lacking in flavour and care of preparation, however there was a good portion size.

Popped in unexpectedly on a Monday night for a meal with friends - each one of the 3 x curries we ordered was exceptional and a match for any of the top curry houses in Glasgow. The service from the team was attentive and friendly - the kids were made to feel very welcome. Would recommend 100% if you are looking for some tasty, spicy treats.

Have ordered takeaway from this restaurant a few times and each time the food has been excellent. There’s a very wide menu choice and we’ve tried a few different dishes and none has disappointed. Highly recommended.

First time I had visited Bishopton Tandoori. An awkward time with covid 19 but the staff followed all government guidelines. Once seated the staff made us feel at ease and bent over backwards for us. I was taken aback with how friendly and polite they staff were. Before leaving they also came out and offered all 8 of us a free birthday drink ( anything ) which would have been a cost to them also. The meal was cooked to perfection and plenty to choose from.

Got a couple of fish suppers that were absolutely disgusting, chips were grey and chewy, fish was greasy. Won't be back.

Takeaway from here recently was so bland it was almost inedible. The rice was really watery and the curry was just flavourless brown sludge. It completely baffles me as to how the food sitting in the restaurant is so good but takeaway from the same kitchen is abysmal. This is the second time trying the takeaway service and both times were awful. It’s easy to see why the Chapati takeaway is always mobbed and this is usually empty - the takeaway food is terrible.

Service and attention was spot on. Portion sizes were adequate. Food tasted lovely, good selection. Card machine broken. Prices fine. Drinks ok.

Staying locally, but didnt want to eat at the hotel, so drove over for a carry-out.Ordering online was fine until I attempted to put in card details, which would not work at all, so I got cash (always an alternative).Food was promised in 10 minutes and, sure enough, was ready when I arrived. A nice curry, well cooked and suitably spicy, with the usual accompanyments. I will be tempted to try the restaurant next time I'm here.

Best take away in Bishopton by a mile

This use to be one of the best, sadly it has went down hill in recent years, the food is still good it just seems to have lost its good reputation. Staff don't appear to be as interested as they were previously

We have been visiting the tandoori for the last year and have never been disappointed by the food. OK. its not he best Indian I have ever had in my life but the food is fresh, tasty and service is second to none! We normally visit on a Saturday night which is busy but are always wcomed and accommodated. Good selection of wine and at a reasonable price. The complimentary drink at the end finishes the evening off perfectly well done Harry, Ricky and family!

My wife and I decided that we didn't fancy anything from the menu at the place we were staying, and as we're both big fans of Indian food we thought we'd give the Bishopton Tandoori a go. We booked a table at short notice and arrived 20 minutes later.The service was quick, the staff we're polite, friendly, and very helpful. The food was beautiful, perfectly cooked, extremely tasty, there was loads of it, and it was very reasonably priced.Throughly impressed with the restaurant, staff and food. Highly recommended and next time we're in the area we'll be going back.
