The best restaurants serving Indian food in City Centre Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Started coming here a couple of years ago, it is now my go to restaurant. Food is delicious and the staff always friendly and welcoming. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

This is a terrific Indian near Old college, beautiful cooked food, great service and fabulous value. Had delicious tandoori chicken, Makhani Daal and nann fkr about £20. Very popular, packed on a Monday night! Book ahead

Order arrived with no salad or sauce for the 2 kebabs. I was told I chose no sauce (because the usual sauce is not listed) but I left a note to include it. It should come with salad and sauce anyway! Bad customer service on the phone.

Food: Chana curry was delicious, North Indian Chilli Garlic Chicken was good. Nan bread was flat not sure if we just received a bad make as other reviews were good. Butter chicken very tomatoey (so if you don’t like that would not recommend). Mixed grill was tasty but for £26 it is small, for the price you would expect a bigger portion, as this isn’t enough for even two people. Service: Only one waiter working, felt bad for the pour soul as he was running around between many tables: seating people, taking orders, serving food and clearing tables etc. Atmosphere: Has some nice Christmas decorations but otherwise basic interior, no music, and slightly chilly inside.

We had a best experience at this restaurant while hunting for some desi food during our trip. The staff was helpful if we remember the guy name Khaqan & the girl at the counter. We tried their chicken handi which was but spicy but same evening we had their Mutton bhunna which was very tender & delicious. Honestly speaking, that was one of the best mutton we ever had & we were even discussing about the same taste yesterday.

Best restaurant experience ever! Staff are friendly, courteous and make great recommendations! Went there with friends and we were all amazed with the how the Food and Cocktails were presented. Highly recommend the Lamb Biriyani 😍.

¿Qué demonios está pasando con Omar? 2 entrantes, 2 tomas de corriente y 2 bebidas a £ 75 = perderse! He estado yendo aquí durante años, pero claramente subieron sus precios y no vale la pena el dinero. La comida siempre es buena, pero no vale la pena estas tarifas. Baja los precios Omar o me iré a otra parte ¡Impresionante!

I sat down with my family at the big tables at the back of cosmos the padded chairs. The chairs were pelling. But they had really good Food and the dessert was delicious🤤 and the chocolate fountain was yummy with the marshmallows the marshmallows ran out and the staff were very kind and got some more for me. The waffles were really good especially with chocolate sauce on top. The pizza and macaroni and loads more were very yummy this definitely. I definitely recommend on getting unlimited drink fills because they are very delicious on of the wee ones in my family tried to get all the drinks from the United drink refills to put all them in his drink.cosmos definitely deserves 4 stars .

Tuvimos una comida aquí un viernes por la noche en el período previo a la Navidad. Restaurante muy bien con muchas mesas reservadas. Teníamos una mesa en una sección más pequeña, pero a pesar de eso al final de la noche, ¡podía oler las especias en mi ropa! Necesita mejor ventilación. Buena comida y cantidades muy razonables, y BYOB.

We have enjoyed many meals at the Ronaq both in Market Street and in Comely Bank, but I am afraid our experience on Sunday evening was terrible. My husband had the fish tikka and after eating we headed for the bus. On travelling back home he became really ill, burning and sickness. When we did manage to get home he was sick all night and most of Sunday. Don’t know what has happened to this restaurant but I definitely won’t return. I called the Manager on Monday to raise a complaint but it was as though he wasn’t interested. There are better places to eat in Edinburgh. Shocking.

They catered for our friends' nikkah. The food was outstanding, authentic, fresh Pakistani cuisine. Many dietary requirements catered for. Excellent, friendly service.

Decent chips but rude service, I was spoken too rudely and a man Infront of me was thrown out after ordering

One of the worst experiences. Too low quantity for the price point. Don't have a printed bill. Handwriting hard to understand. Rude behavior from a staff member.
