The best restaurants serving Indian food in City Centre Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Disappointed. They serve very cheap rice and small portions and charge too much for it. The lamb dish was again very small and at almost £10 too expensive. This is not wow and only medium mediocre now. Friendly enough staff but this is not enough.

Been wanting to try Mowgli for sometime, its was beyond my expectations. Everything tasted delicious and nothing like I have tried before. A taste sensation! Lovely setting in an old bank.

Called in for a meal last Monday the 10th at around 2100. the service was excellent with a very friendly reception. The meal was very very good I particularly enjoyed my lamb. All in all it was an excellent experience form beginning to end and very fairy priced . I would highly recommend and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Food was really good and enjoyable. We got the tawa for 4 and it was more than enough food for 4 people. The lamb chops were well seasoned and tender. The chicken wings and tikka pieces were very nice too. Seekh kebab was brilliant. Karahi was very nice, and had a nice heat to it. We went at around 1700 and it was quiet however, it had not long opened. It did get busier while we were there and I could expect at peak times it gets busy. Well located in the city centre to get too and easily walkable from most parts of the centre. Easy to get too in a taxi or bus as well with plenty of bus stops on the road outside. I marked service down a little bit. The staff were really friendly but at the end, I paid in cash and they counted the cash wrong and almost took an extra £10 as said I hadn’t paid enough till I counted it myself. Other than that, staff were friendly enough and helpful.

Best restaurant experience ever! Staff are friendly, courteous and make great recommendations! Went there with friends and we were all amazed with the how the Food and Cocktails were presented. Highly recommend the Lamb Biriyani 😍.

Good portions, but slightly underwhelming spice levels.

We pre booked for after a show at Playhouse. . It was crazy busy . I no we wee informed 90 minutes for table but felt rushed as was so busy lott of queues &waiting food be replenished that hadx ran out also if wanted the fresh cooked to order foods this can be a prob when busy. Time wise Lot of choice food , good price for cocktails &good with bottomless soft drinks lovely restaurant, we got told we had 5 mins left on our table .so felt rushed. If went again wouldn't book a weekend &defiantly not when shoes on playhouse as far to busy .

Tuvimos una comida aquí un viernes por la noche en el período previo a la Navidad. Restaurante muy bien con muchas mesas reservadas. Teníamos una mesa en una sección más pequeña, pero a pesar de eso al final de la noche, ¡podía oler las especias en mi ropa! Necesita mejor ventilación. Buena comida y cantidades muy razonables, y BYOB.

Venimos no esperando un buffet, aunque nos ofrecieron a la carta también. Fuimos por el buffet. 1 placa de la calle, todo estaba frío. Muy sabroso pero frío. Segunda visita biryani fresco y otros platos que eran deliciosos ... no estoy seguro de si volvería sin embargo ...

Crappy take away place. I expressly asked that it not be spicy, it was incredibly spicy. Super mediocre. Furthermore, they have treated us with disdain, as if they were not sparing our lives.
