Phils takeaway frozen curries are excellent, and Phil himself really accommodating. We were staying locally in self catering accommodation and had a curry on our last might - wish we had done it sooner, and we would have had two!

Small little restaurant, so you must book. Nice people. Starter was very good - Kebab. Now for a moan. The biriani had 4 cubes of chicken at best and a pile of rice. For a dish that costs as much as you could buy 3 whole chickens!!, but you choose to be a bit tight on the quantities of meat. What a shame. Will I return? Maybe if everywhere else was closed and I wanted a plate of rice?

We have been here a few times but found the menu has been cut by half and the prices have risen. Incredibly expensive compared to similar restaurants in the area. Food was very nice but not worth the money we paid .

Popped in here on the last day of our 5 day trip to Port Charlotte, just for a cup of tea and a cake, as we were having a meal later. Was surprised to see such a full menu, if we had known sooner we would have dined here. Instead, one night we had driven to Bowmore for a meal, as our hote reataurnat was fully booked.so tea, coffee and cake it was, and theywas lovely. I ended up coming back later that day for a baked potato. The facilities were clean, and the staff friendly (We visited during Covid-19).There were outside tables with a sea view and a large car park, as it is serving a campsite. If I am ever in Islay again, I will be sure to come here for a meal.

We visited on a pretty cold Sunday in November. The restaurant was quiet, but it was only 6pm. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, the service was excellent and the chef kindly adapted my wife's meal to suit her. The food was lovely and we'll definitely go back. 10/10

Good food but disappointing everything else . phoned initially to ask a question about the menu regarding a modification, was told to put everything into the comments of the online order. Food arrived after waiting for around 1hr 30 hours and the order was incorrect, missing many items and the modification had been all together ignored. The lady delivering was lovely though and offered to go back and collect the missing items which took an additional 45 minutes. After we finally got the food we paid the full price plus tip , had to reheat the rest of the food as they had gone cold waiting for the rest of the order. Shame as the food, once hot, was pretty decent. Wouldn’t be rushing back though.

The wife and I visited Ekam Palace last night to try out their buffet option. The food was fresh, piping hot and full of flavour, what more could we have asked for. The staff couldn't be more friendlier, even having a chat with the owner was nice to hear his story. This isn't a high-end restaurant but is in fact a nice little local business that serves up tasty food and a relaxing atmosphere.
