The best restaurants serving Indian food in Scotland

Wow this was the best Indian food I have eaten, the service was excellent and the food was delivered to us quickly. The food was so tasty with just enough quantity. I can’t recommend the restaurant enough, I can’t wait to come back!!

We popped in for lunch because I knew they were doing thali lunches and we were not disappointed. I choose seafood and my husband had chicken. (There's also vegetable or lamb) Then they bring you a tray with rice, naan, pakora, lentils and curry of your choice - and it was delicious!

I ordered a takeaway from here and it was really delicious. Easily the best tikka korma I have ever had. Everything ordered was enjoyed by the family. Only negative was the chicken pakora is tiny strips and a very small portion for the money. But thats just personal preference.

We visited Swagath today for dinner, with our friends who came from England. Everyone was very impressed with the food, and ambience. Host is absolutely lovely. Jackfruit curry was delicious, and most try for vegetarian option. We will return again.

Excellent Indian meal and our favourite restaurant in Buckie. Good traditional Indian food and freshly cooked. Very reasonable and good value. Highly recommended to visit.

Fuimos al nuevo restaurante, un par de puertas hacia abajo del lugar antiguo y Om's no decepcionó. Excelente comida, el pollo tandoori fue la estrella del show. Servicio amable y profesional y creo que la distribución del restaurante realmente mejora la experiencia gastronómica.

It's good to have a new Indian restaurant in Ayr and this one has the advantage of reasonable prices, large helpings and 'Bring Your Own Bottle'. The food was good quality with a great choice and some regional specialities. Service was pleasant and attentive and the restaurant decor is reasonable. Will visit again.

Ordered chicken pakora and it was overcooked and rubbery. Complained and got a fresh order. Every bit as bad and the sauce was curdled. Bring back the Minar this is awful 😖

Used to be really good, now it has a new owner and no drinks license. Didn't eat there because of this. Went to another restaurant instead

very very tasty tika masala and nann bread and very nice service and a scorching hot chicken korma and rice with it and some lovely plain chips would definitely recommend to everyone.

We eat Indian food everywhere we go, regularly cook it at home and we buy takeaways from different restaurants once a week. It is usually excellent. This place was the first really disappointing experience we’ve had in years. Ordered four main dishes which were all basically the same. Characterless, watery veg and really lacking in flavour, complexity and depth. Texture of each sauce was the same too. Pilau rice was just basmati stained with turmeric and the naan was flat and dense rather than fluffy and light. There is not competition for miles around but seriously… must try harder. Not at all recommended.

We always enjoy a great meal at Saffrons’s and tonight’s special Valentines Banquet knocked it out of the park - as they say! Amazing tastes of street food and over 9 courses! Great experience. Some of the best tastes of India we have ever had. Please arrange something like this again soon! Thank you to all the staff who were helpful and courteous and helped make it a great experience.

The best takeaway around - food is great quality and tastes perfect! Atmosphere is great and the food is to die for!! Highly recommend.
