The best restaurants serving Indian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Now called The Grand India. We visited Thirsk for a night and found this place for a fantastic evening meal. The food and service were brilliant. Altogether very enjoyable.

Another evening of gorgeous food. And excellent, attentive service. This new crew seem to know what they are doing. However. The place was almost empty and it was Friday night. So the atmosphere was literally squat. Don't let's lose this local gem. Get ye down there for some Dhansak and Daal.

On holiday staying at cleethorpes haven Park. Ordered a set meal for 2 to be delivered last night. Had 2 options so chose option 2 (pick what ever dishes you want). Delivered piping hot, very good portion sizes and exceptional quality. Have tried other Indian meals down here and found them to either be small portion or just average quality. Will not use anywhere else now after last night's perfect food. Keep up the great work 😁

I cannot believe that this place gets any good reviews especially when it comes to the dishes. Ordered 4 different curries all looked the same red glupe no herbs very bland I certainly will never purchase a curry from this place again £45 waste of money.

food was all really good, didnt have one bad thing we ordered. curries could have needed a little extra seasoning/spices but good taste nonetheless. Lime pickle was best i've had yet

Just had a chicken tikka shashlick masalla which i must say guys it was very tasty with lots of flavour and fast delivery service…

Worst food and customer service and also the chicken served was very bad and not fresh and also expensive when checking on the food quality.so disappointed

Ordered off just eat earlier waiting for it to be delivered looked back on just eat and they had cancelled my order

Tried their Donner Wrap and it was very mediocre, not bad, not great. A decent amount of meat and nice fresh salad. However the chip ship style chips were nice but didn't really go with a wrap, fries would've been more suited.

Appalling service. Ordered a take away and brought it home, which is 10 minutes away. Found some sort of plastic material in BOTH kids’ chicken kormas, and there were no meat samosas as ordered and paid for. Rang to complain. Got told I’d get free meat samosas and 2 free kormas next time. Said we don’t live nearby (we were visiting family) so that wasn’t convenient. I basically got accused of lying about what was in the food. I offered to bring the offending articles in to be seen (still with korma sauce on them) the next day. Again, I could have 2 free kormas and some meat samosas. Why would we want that 2 nights in a row? Absolutely disgraceful attitude from a restaurant chain that must be making millions of pounds a year. I will never go again. AVOID.
