Riverside Spice Restaurant in Rotherham

ordered a takeaway asked how long said an hour was 1hr 50mins we had to ring twice and was told on way when it wasn't, think they must have a new chef as absolutely rubbish now, chicken wings were raw blood on joints and uncooked dare not eat them at all, we had ordered 2 different curries but they looked and tasted exactly the same even chips weren't cooked, we will never order again until something drastic changes, this used to be lovely food every time unsure what's happened but changes are needed

Ordered from here for the first time. Now I'm not a super spicy curry fan but with a balti you would expect some spice - nothing! If i have taken the sauce and mixed it with pasta you wouldn't have known it was supposed to be a curry. I suspect the sauce is batch cooked and frozen as it was watery. I know restaurants have to batch cook and not always cook to order but this wasn't great. After plating it up I felt like I was eating for the sake of it, not for any enjoyment. The best bits were the chips and poppadoms - which are pretty hard to get wrong. The wait time was also ridiculous, took around 40 minutes longer than stated. If you're busy just add the extra wait time on so people know to expect it. Disappointed and will be going elsewhere next time!

A very nice little find Service was great . Food was nice . Lovely clean restaurant and very nice decor . Drinks were poor ( flat ) . Reasonable price

Had a takeaway. Usually great. Today food was a hour late being delivered and there was no apology when I rang them when they were 30 minutes late

Been using Riverside for a while as I live only a few yards away. Staff are welcoming, the food authentic, great value. It went alcohol free during the pandemic and is only takeaway at the moment.

The last 3 takeaways from this place have been really poor, I have used this place for takeaway and the restaurant(before lockdown) sice it first opened, but since Christmas the place has gone downhill fast. The food is bland, tasteless and watery, no hint of spice or flavour. Such a shame because the people running it are spot on and the location for me is perfect but if the food isn't up to the usual standard I will spend my hard-earned somewhere else
