Parkgate Indian Restaurant in Rotherham

Horrendous place! Never order from here! They left me waiting hours for a curry that never arrived. The man on the phone didn’t know where the delivery driver had gone but then later started claiming I’d received my order even though it was via Uber eats which requires a pin! Awful customer service, he just didn’t see it as his problem and said there’s nothing he can do about it.

Had the lamb bhuna - Best curry I have had since moving to Rotherham. Bit spicer than I expected but that was ideal for me

normally very good but this time turned up cold.

ordered at 8pm didn't arrive when it said it would i then called the restraunt after 40 minutes of waiting they said it was on the way and shouldn't be long etc I then requested for an update and said same thing and my food only just turned up at 9:20pm it's an absolute joke

ordered for 6.45 tryed delivering at 6.20 i was not in i phone them at 7.00 when i realised they had already tryed delivery (home camera ) food arrived at 7.15 cold i took it and warmed it in microwave food excellent delivery poor

Unfortunately I've just had food poisoning from a takeaway here. In the past food was great and fresh but this time the curry was watery, meat was tough and chewy with an odd taste. Real shame. I won't be able to go here again after this.

Nice but let down by customer service. Added a note to the order asking for extra mint yoghurt as there was no option on the menu to add this on. Order arrived with one mint yoghurt, totally understand that I hadn’t paid for the extra ask but we spent just under £40 on this takeaway and didn’t think mint yoghurt would be such a stretch, if they’d have called me regarding the note and said it would be cash for the extra yoghurt on arrival I would have paid it. Just thought it was a bit tight.

Honestly can't complain with this place, really good food for the price. Just avoid the spicy chips if your not brave with spicy food, they live up to their name.

missed the naan bread off order but the food was amazing 1st time ordered a lamb pathia, along with the rest of the meal was fantastic

Ordered a lot of food, but didn’t receive a curry dish and a nan bread and when I phoned up the restaurant and they took my address and said we’ll get it out too you, I’ve still not received it over an hour again

I said 1830 as my was at work and it came ar 1815 not happy and her carry was not that warm so gone in bin she been working 12 hours today

The food was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Dont get me wrong a bit of spice is always nice but a madras shouldn't feel like a vindaloo. I can't comment if the food was tasty or not because it was so spicy it didn't taste of anything. Waste of £40 would not recommend.

WOW! Customer service is shocking! We ordered a variety of items as we have done many times before and the mild chicken curry was NOT mild, it was very spicy. I called to explain and was told next time it would be mild, told them it needed to be replaced. I had to explain myself 3 times to 3 different people, all I wanted was the curry replacing. Eventually I was told it would be replaced, but they ask to give the NOT mild curry back - with pleasure! We need to find another takeaway!

Finally somewhere that offers beautiful paneer dishes for us vegetarians! So pleased and first time ordering the order was right on time and the food was perfect! Ordering again as this is my new favourite when I want a night in and some good food. Highly recommend.

Tried here for the first time as another Indian we used to go to went up in price but down hill in quality, and would 100% order from here again. The food arrived on time, hot and good quality, especially for the price.

I just can't get my head around why a butter chicken would be spicy ...not only that the garlic mushrooms were the chicken chaat was the tikka masala was also chicken pasta was I'm fuming 39 quid to burn my mouth put when everything I ordered was supposed to be mild I will not be recommending plus no salad or sauces with starters very fkin poor for the price

Great tasty food. All was piping hot. I accidentally selected the wrong time for delivery. When I called to see if it was possible to have an earlier delivery it was not a problem . Would definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again.

Lovely food. Only disappointment was that none of the starters came with the salad described and we hadn't ticked the no salads option box.

The hot curry hasn’t been sealed properly the last few times we’ve ordered and has leaked into the bag and onto other food. However food quality is excellend, just consider better packing :)

Proper bargies massive and big portions

No attempt at delivery, told to ask Just Eat for a refund, we asked if we could collect but got told the restaurant was shut now so no. Hoping it is a one off.

I got 5 dry chicken bits in my curry, onion, and naan bread was probably the best thing. 9.50 for 5 prices of overcooked chicken in curry sauce 😂

naan was 10/10, buttery and consistent filling. curries are so watery it kind of ruins the flavour, both really bland. chips were cooked nice, rice was okay no coconut as described just lemon. not worth £28 at all.

Naga curry had no smell no spice or flavour in at all! as phall and naga curry's are my favourite to order anywhere i go i thought I'd give this a try being new in the area i was very very disappointed and won't be returning please speak to chef as that was no example of a curry at all

Just eat told me my order had arrived and to enjoy my food at 20:20 only my food hadn't been delivered to my address. We rang Parkgate Indian and told them she said to ring back in 5 mins if wasn't there. Rang back after 5 mins and she said she would ring the driver as was a new driver. There was no apology from the driver for being so late either!

Thought I would order parkgate Indian special which I thought would be best option, but to me it wasn’t nothing like any Indian dish I’ve tasted. Seekh meat was ok but would rather have it in a kebab rather than a red curry sauce, meat was tough and even chicken wasn’t good either, not tasty at all. But basic bhuna was good, although I didn’t try this, so maybe better to order cheapest dish rather than their speciality

The papadoms were nice, but the onion bhaji were the worst I've ever had. They were so 'SWEET' they must have used a full tin of golden syrup and also there was so much oil on my plate it was disgusting. I WON'T EVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN

Curries really watery , food luke warm, wouldnt recommend

This was our first delivery from Parkgate and will definitely not be our last. Delicious food , restaurant standard quality, promptly delivered. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you .

Only problem I had was that I ordered a prawn madras and received a meat madras so I think they need to take care of what they send out even though it was the wrong madras I still enjoyed it but I will make them aware of the mistake.

Not used for 12 months but always remembered it being really nice. Tonight's was so bland. Right waste of money. If you're going to charge Akbars prices, you need to up your game big time. No taste to either curry (bhuna and dopiazza).

Pasta bolognese with fries, nice n hot, taste and quantity excellent, really enjoyed, regular customer and always a good meal.

The fish pakoras were really nice. But the two main dishes we had lacked any flavour and the naan was very doughy.

Tbh decent curry. Not the best pathia I've had but not bad. Would definitely order again. Improved massively over the years.

Order was supposed to be delivered between 18:25 & 18:45. Food was marked as delivered at 18:45. When calling the restaurant at 19:00 as it still hadnt been received, it had only just left the restaurant with the delivery driver. Food eventually arrived at 19:08 almost 30mins after it was marked as being delivered.

Stunning food! First time ordering from here and we will definitely order again. Meat Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Massala were really tasty and that naan was fluffy and fresh. Only thing is that justeat were offering 20% discount but only 10% was deducted at checkout.

Best curry I've had in a long time

Ordered a few times now and it's always spot on.

Food wasn't even delivered, we waited almost 2 hours, when we tried to ring it was giving busy tone. We then had to drive down (baring in mind we paid delivery fee) as we couldn't get an update via phone. Phone was off the hook, and staff were sat talking and showed us our food sat in the table. We then got home and 2 items were missing. Awful service l!

Wish I read the latest reviews before ordering. I ordered on just eat for the first time from this place. It states 45-1hr wait for food so I ordered promptly I was very hungry after ordering it then re stayed it would be between 1 hour and 1 & half hours. 20 mins before the restaurant is due to close over 2hrs 15 mins later I was so hungry I begin driving to the place a couple miles away. A mile I’m a get a call from the driver saying it’s here. I quickly drove back. Opened my cold food, mix grill freezing cold. Chips, sweaty cold and stale. The only thing that was remotely warm was my can of drink wich they got wrong. NEVER will order from here ever again. Foods in Bin & I’ve reordered from elsewhere. Absolutely annoyed is an understatement. Terrible service 0/5
