Best Asian in Rotherham, Sheffield or surrounding areas, I would their Currys rather buy my food from Himalia then Akbar's. If they had dine in they would close Akbar's down. That's being honest.

Lamb bhuna medium to hot spices- delicious tender meat with no fat cooked in a quite dry thick sauce but delicious. Generous portion of rice and very tasty garlic naan. Clean kitchens on full display to customer mean you can watch a meal being made . Very good

Ordered briyani chicken and prawnvindaloo chapattis and chips... chappatii and chips were nice but briyani and vindaloo had no taste apart from extreme spiciness.

Dont order a Korma anywhere else. Here it's gorgeous. Curries are nice. Tandoori chicken is nice. Staff are great. Better than the restaurant down the road for less money.

Has to be the best place to get a curry in Rotherham, top quality food, friendly staff, love the open plan kitchen as you can see them cooking your food, cleanliness is immaculate. My favourite curry is the Kaesri Murgh, highly recommended.

Chicken curry was kinda tasteless, and kebab portion was too small.

Thats me bein nice £27 4 food that wasnt rite at all order wasnt rite 2 start off with cost mi £20 then rung em up and had the rite food delivered charged me an extra £10 just so they gt my order rite. We will never use you again

Ordered from here many times before and never had an issue. Take away arrived and it wasn't even hot. We had poppadoms onions and yogurt to start, the poppadoms weren't crispy, they were soft as if they were old, the yogurt was like water, extremely runny, and the onion sald wasn't fresh. We had fish pakora and it was like rubber, not fresh at all, no flavour to it either, so that got wasted. Onion bahjis weren't fresh, they were very heavy / solid, nothing like we've ever had before, lamb tikka "okay" Chicken tikka dopiaza was okay but hardly any sauce in it, quite dry. Naan bread was okay but really thick and stodgy. Sorry Himalia but you've really gone down hill. Afraid we won't be ordering again 😒

A work colleague reccomended this place. I have to say excellent service and fresh 5 star quality tasty food. I ordered lamb karahi and chicken karahi with garlic naan breads. Best curry in rotherham! Will definitly recommend and come back.

Fantastic food good value for money, highly recommended, can sometimes be difficult to get through on the phone at busy times.

Not a nice experience here, first time ordering and definatley my last! No taste to any of the dry food, i even took a covid test thinking id lost my taste, but no i havent got covid so defo bad food! Garlic nan had no garlic on it, the garlic mayo was literallly about a teaspoon and the salad well it was invisible as they was none on my food.

First time i have been there did not know it existed and only live up the road from it, This has to be the best Takeaway in Rotherham/South Yorkshire, fantastic Kebab and their Curry's are fantastic this is the best food takeaway we have ever had. The staff are really nice and very well organized fantastic service, great selection on menu, I will be getting all my Takeaway food from there in future its worth 10 out of 10 5 Stars 100% ...Thanks for a great meal.......What more can you say if you don't try it you will never know

Absolute *hit!! Ordered meat thali and it was terrible the starters looked like they had been in the freezer for about 3 years. Evrything tasted funny like it wasn’t fresh .. the onion bhaji don’t think had ever seen an onion just a load of dry orange powder with a funny taste … the curry’s were terrible. Meat was all over cooked inside the curry’s .. I could actually see burn marks on the chicken threw the sauce. Most of it went in the bin. That’s 20 pound wasted. Also rang and asked for the sweet naan that comes with the meat thali to be changed to a fresh naan instead. This didn’t mean o still wanted the sweet naan and just charge me to add on another plain naan it meant I didn’t want the sweet naan I wanted just a fresh naan and to not be charged for the sweet naan I never wanted. Last time I’ll be coming to himalia. I’ll stick with danyaals in future at Maltby where the price is similar bit at least the quality is there and the food is fresh. Himalia used to be lovely a few years back and now I wouldn’t feed it the dog 🤢🤮

Probably the best take away curry that Rotherham has to offer, wait times are a bit long but this is because of the popularity of the place. Recommended.

10/10 top gaff, Got there at 12:15am, only takeaway open in Rotherham. Made a belter scran and even gave us some taxi numbers (we are not locals and were a little lost). Would rate higher if possible.

Not in the nicest part of town but wow the best curry in the world. The team has been here ages and doing roaring business because the product is high quality and the price is right. Getting through on the phone to pre-order is a nightmare because they are so busy. As soon as the phone is put down it rings again. Shame they can't open up more shops in different locations as they have the winning recipe.

Brilliant service, that popular that trying to get thru on the phone is near on impossible on a saturday , drove to shop and the lads who work there are so accomodating, left my list as loads of customers waiting and my order was ready in 15 mins.Home and sat down to fantastic hot food at a great price, anybody who likes a Indian takeaway find the number of this place well worth it

We Pre-ordered at 5:10 bearing mind they don’t open til 6:00 and with the lockdown you can never get through so we rang ahead to guarantee our order, x2 curries and Naan Bread It came before 6:00pm which was great however the chicken curry ordered had about 4 pieces in and my lamb curry was so chewy and full of gristle both curries were so bland to taste and to top it off we had NO bread with our order which we ordered he confirmed the order back to us so why the error! We rang straight away and as usual User Busy we rang 160 times and have just given up in the end so we didn’t finish our curry and we didn’t get our full order all for £22.70 completely disgusted! (See pictures)

Ordered chicken fillet burger and they gave raw fillet when I rang them about the mistake they are asking me to explain the taste. Horrible customer service.

Ordered tonight, was told 45 mins to deliver, arrived after an hour, stone cold, and the bhajis were stale, we have used these for many years and the last twice we have been let down, will not use again, my husband called to complain and spoke with Ammi, who couldn't apologise enough, he also said we were the 10th complaint tonight and offered a replacement, to which my husband replied, could not be subject to the same. However, the wheelie bin enjoyed it.

I am a long time customer for this takeaway but my favourite menu from this takeaway is the Himalia Special and it is very enjoyable to eat and the staff are very welcome and friendly to talk with and they are fantastic staff they are and it is very good place to be food to take out and delivered.

It was borderline tasteless and was like no chicken tikka massala I’ve every previously had ...... Only half a container of cold rice ? Mango chutney has the consistency water (clearly watered down ) And to add insult to injury the popadoms were soft so had clearly been made yesterday or something ...... I have no idea how this place is considered highly rated locally ...... it’s worth paying a little more and going to Akbar’s
