A tad disappointed we had heard great things first of all great service and they accommodate our dog so thank you. The food was at best average the dhal and rice was poor however the aloo and dhal kachori was very nice as was a cabbage dish the puri were excellent and very reasonably priced…would we visit again? Unlikely as there was no wow that’s great factor.

Are here early on a Friday night, pretty quiet to start with but soon got busy. Nicely decorated inside but it was a little chilly on a March evening. Prawn starter was disappointing and I wouldn't choose it again but the chicken chom chom main was very good and the naan was excellent. Plenty of options on the menu and a choice of a couple of draft beers. Service was good and staff friendly.

Butter chicken wasn't tomato-ey, chicken was not even tikka version, too much cinnamon and a too spicy for makhani. No butter, double cream, fenugreek etc seemed to be present. Chef should watch YouTube for proper Sikh Punjabi butter chicken recipes!. Even using tomato soup as a cheat would be better than this nonsense version. Pilau was like microwave rice with abit of frozen mixed veg, definitely not pilau. Achari paneer tikka had zero pickle, and was barely tikka, just slices of paneer with asafoetida/chaat masala sprinkled on. If you ask for side salad of onion, cucumber and tomato they charge £4.50 for it!. Just another curry house that doesn't care about actual quality, which is common in UK these days. Why open a place if you don't even slightly care about doing it well?. Such a shame because this place seemed like it would be good because it is a rare Sikh owned restaurant and there was a table of Sikh uncles eating there, but they must of been disappointed too.

NAWAZ!

We were highly impressed with the service and food. Really recommend for those who want to try an authentic experience. The atmosphere was perfect and really set the mood for our daughters birthday. We also received a delicious cake that put a smile on her face. Thank you so much! Especially to our server Maryam!

Quite a disappointing meal considering the rating and reviews... as mentioned, this is now called Indian Pakwaan. We opted for our usual bottle of prosecco, poppadoms/pickles and a main. Plus points are prompt and courteous attention, but some knowledge of the drinks variable would be beneficial. Also the prices seem quite reasonable. Poppadoms tasted burned and the pickles weren't nice, everything laced with caraway seed. My main was a chicken madras, it was OK, far from up there with the best but it wasn't bad... not much meat in it though. My wife's chicken tikka masala on the otherhand was awful. Oddly hotter than my madras, tasted quite acrid wasn't the red colour with hinted sweetness the dish is supposed to be. Not enjoyable at all.

Our new FAVOURITE Indian in Wakefield Home cooked food, fresh, tasty and definitely worth a visit. This is our third visit and we don’t usually book and have being lucky with getting a table, but as it’s starting to be on the radar of home cooked Indians I’d suggest booking first. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the food and when it lands we soon consume it haha but managed to get a picture tonight of the Dahl and the butter chicken. My favourite is lentil Dahl, my husbands is the butter chicken, both dishes are delicious. We love the bhaji, we prefer the smaller portion for just two of us, just right. Another favourite is pickle tray delicious raita and lime pickle. I would 100% give this place a BIG THUMBS UP!! We used to go to Leeds for our regular Indian nights but now we don’t need to, sorry cats pjamas Leeds.

Amazing local curry house. A lovely cheap meal and also BYOB is very handy. Can accommodate large groups with short notice. Large dining are with lots of space between tables. Food quality never falters and delivery is often very quick.
