Got a takeaway. Quite average. Chicken tikka wasn’t very flavourful. The lamb curry the special bengal patil, was quite chewy but did have a nice sauce. The Bengali chicken curry didn’t taste of a lot but had a good kick. Prawn puri was similar.

No sauce, just dry lumps of chicken, usually good but terrible tonight

Always enjoy the food from bengal brasserie. This is our go to restaurant for a lovely curry, whether it’s eating in or ordering take out. The staff in store are super friendly and go above and beyond to give good service. Ordered to the house with Just Eat while it was snowing and they didn’t have a delivery driver to collect it so someone from the restaurant brought it to us themselves. Definitely recommend if you fancy a get together with friends or family at an authentic restaurant or even just a takeaway at home.

The staff have no idea about allergies and don't offer any alternatives. No alternative to cow's milk or yoghurt. Pretty poor in this day and age. Be careful if you have any life threatening allergies as I wouldn't eat here.

Unfortunately my main dish of Butter chicken was extremely average. I won't be ordering from Bengal Brassetie again

all items seems to be with a red dye. not sure we eat food coloured red. vegetable was disappointing too. first time that we have not enjoyed their food

If there was a way to rate ZERO stars I would. Ordered via the website which said delivery time 30mins. Called them 1 hour and 15mins later and they said it would be at least another 15mins. Asked to cancel as we are all over it and they hung up on me. Terrible service.

We enjoyed a really nice meal at this restaurant. Portions were fantastic! They give you plenty of food. The breads were really fresh and tasted great. We had the: Lamb Afghani Chicken Nawabi Khana Shabzi Chameli Peswhwari naan The staff really made this! Incredibly friendly and welcoming. Made for a really enjoyable evening. Overall a really good experience and a solid 4.1/5 poppadoms on the official curry rating scale!

Ordered from here for the first time lastnight and I'll definitely be ordering again! I ordered the chicken naga curry and boy was it HOT! Was a different kind of hot compared to other curries I've had in the past! The chips were bit rubbery though but I'm still giving this takeaway a 5star review!

I would first of all compliment the food 5* however who ever employs the driver I have had the food delivered by needs to be removed from their service.He called me to come out to his car whilst his I assume his girlfriend was sat next to him.If I pay a service charge I expect it delivered to my front door not me to have to go out to his car.disgraceful service and he should not be employed as it goes against the restaurant which is unfair

Prawn madras was hit and spicy but tasteless. Mushroom rice and Shashlik lamb very dry. Peshwari Nan was the best bit sadly.

First time ordering a takeaway from here. I had the Naga chilli chicken and OH had the chicken achari. When these guys say hot and spicy, boy do they mean it! The Naga chilli was certainly hot and spicy... But it was very flavoursome and delicious, and not just bland and hot. It was well prepared!! Really enjoyed it. OH enjoyed his achari. He said it was the perfect amount of spice and heat. I tried it and wow, it was like a flavour explosion.... A beautiful and expertly created dish! Your chef's are fantastic! We had a spicy nan bread... A proper made one! Not one takeaways usually buy... But this was made... And it was made very well and tasted so good! We would definitely order from here again as the food was hot, delivered quickly, and it was all very tasty! Bonus points to the delivery driver who turned up looking incredibly smart (in a shirt, bow tie, waistcoat and matching trousers!) and when I opened the door, he said "delivery for blackbird singing." Lovely guy ; ) Thanks for an enjoyable meal ; )

Oh my Naan !!! doughy under cooked and bland naans. Tandoori butter chicken is pink for starters, and comes with slimey chicken. Do not order from this restaurant.

Fantástico restaurante que sirve los mejores platos auténticos. El personal es muy amable, un gran servicio y un ambiente agradable. He comido en un par de sus otras ramas que también eran buenas, pero Oakwood es definitivamente el mejor! Recomendaría el Cordero Afghani, para morir!

Anoche fuimos por 1 calle con el restaurante Mrs. Busy. El personal, la comida y el ambiente eran todos fantásticos, grandes porciones (tuvimos que tener una bolsa de perro) vale la pena una visita, pero aconsejaría pre-reserva ya que es solo 36 cubiertas, así que gers ocupado rápido. Mo era un gran frente de la casa. Volveremos.

The food was really good and very tasty - you absolutely get what you pay for quality wise! Couple of gripes 1: I ordered a garlic naan, got a regular naan (still enjoyed it) 2: Also ordered mushroom bhaji but expected them to come like onion bhaji (as in battered) but got a sauce instead haha - it was still good though! Would definitely order again

We have visited this restaurant on a regular basis since it first opened. I don't normally leave reviews. However, for this Restaurant I am making an exception. Wow, that’s the best curry I’ve had in a long long time. I picked a garlic chilli chicken balti. So tasty, saucy and so spicy. Delivery driver was great too

Absolute gem this place, the venue is only small but very welcoming with a lovely atmosphere & you don't feel like you're on top of each other. The staff are very friendly & attentive but not overbearing. The food is delicious, clearly cooked fresh, well presented & piping hot. All that for a price that was pleasantly surprising. Small Restaurant with weird cutlery and plates etc. Food use to be great but it's gone down hill a bit. I have also had takeaways from here.

The food with this restaurant is brilliant but the just eat driver who got lost and didn’t bother to call me so I called the restaurant and told them he had been near me 3 times but went elsewhere each time the restaurant said he should have called me but he didn’t and the food was cold eventually when he got here I had worked a minimum wage job all week to enjoy this treat and it was ruined but I knew saying anything wouldn’t get me anywhere so I ate the food cold and went to bed unhappy.

Recently visited again as it’s one of mine and my husbands favourite in Leeds… the dansak is my fave dish and I’ve had many all over but this restaurant tops them all…a must try if you visit!!

Disappointed with the food , red chicken in every dish, lamb chops dried out , not fresh prawns, cooked from frozen, lamb in dishes full of fat , dried narm bread, all chicken dishes taste the same. Will not return 😡

Visited Bengal Brasserie Indian restaurant a couple of times now. The restaurant has always been busy and we're clearly very busy with take away orders also. Had fish masala starter and murgh masala with cheesy naan for main course. Service was a little slow but this wasn't really an issue as they were clearly very busy. The fish masala was really nice with lots of different flavour, and served with a little salad and mint sauce. The murgh masala curry was delicious, tender chicken and full of flavour. On a separate visit, tried the Nawabi Khana curry, a dish cooked with 21 ingredients gives this dish lots of flavour and taste. Would definitely visit again to further explore more Indian cuisine from the menu.

Food is usually quite tasty, however, on this occasion the roti and biriyani were slightly under cooked.

Ordered through JustEat as we had seen good reviews, the estimated delivery time kept getting pushed back for up to nearly an hour after the original time provided. The app says that the driver had arrived and when we rang the restaurant they said the opposite. I understand a Saturday night may be busy but it’s not acceptable when paying over £30 and receiving a cold meal. Communication was lacking to say the least.

I have eaten here on several occasions so booked a party of 19 on a Saturday. Despite the size the food quality and service did not disappoint. Great food great service for such a small restaurant, everyone enjoyed the food and said they would come again. I have tried the one in town but food quality not the same.

After reading the great reviews we tried the restaurant last night . We had the king prawn razala which was watery and tasteless . I know it says mild,but mild and flavourless are not the same thing. The onion bhaji as part of the mixed starter was a ball of burnt ,dry onions rather than the light fluffy ones in your pictures . The nan bread tasted like "pancake" according to my wife and neither of us could taste the garlic . it was dry and tasted burnt in places. I held off putting this review up for a month until I had a chance to speak with the other members of our party to see what they thought . Only one person said they fully enjoyed their food out of 5 of us.

Been here before had good meals, went a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night with friends. Can’t believe service poor, food served on ice cold plates, i ordered my meal Burgos knows what I was given! Maybe it was getting to the end of night and they cobbled something together,but wasn’t impressed at all,my meal was tasteless, staff seemed unintrested,my friend asked for her food warming as it was nearly cold as mine was. Sorry bengal brasserie, you’ve put me off along with the other 7 people I was with.i ended up taking mine home then chucking it the next day

Good friendly environment, lovely staff Food was amazing, all fresh plenty of meat in my main dish perfect size portion of rice to compliment my main and the butter nan was freshly made. This a little beauty.

The food here is AMAZING. It's all cooked to order and the staff are very helpful when it comes to allergies etc. The service is excellent and such a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend dining here.

Food arrived smashed to bits, curry all over the bag and foil containers flattened. Food ended up going in the bin. Would never have ordered if you'd have made clear you were using Just Eat's own drivers rather than your own. Disappointed and will seek refund

I have eaten out at the roundhay road one a number of times. Every time it's been lovely so fresh tasting. Tonight I had it delivered it was here in no time. Compliments to the chef for an amazing dish and starters.

We live locally and ordered take away from here today for the first time. We had tandoori butter chicken, multani chicken, tarka dhal and pilau rice. The dhal was like water and it, and the two chicken dishes, were equally tasteless and under seasoned. It was the first time I have ever felt the need to add salt to a curry, in fact if it had been a blind tasting I wouldn’t have known it was curry at all. (Have only just realised that there is more than one Bengal Brasserie - I should point out that this review relates to the Oakwood branch).

Curries are really nice, and it’s not far from home - for that reason alone we will likely keep returning and hope they take some of these comments on board to improve their restaurant. The starters we’ve had so far haven’t been good, and the service needs improving. I’ve been 4/5 times now, the starters have always been disappointing. Onion bhaji taste like nothing, all flour/no onion- dry and tasteless. The Indian fish they use here is not nice, funny texture/taste/smell. I really like fish curries but knowing they use that fish I won’t try theirs. Lamb chops aren’t great. No one comes to ask how the food is, this should be done at every course, not just the end. One of the main servers with the dark hair and glasses appears to be unable to smile, it comes across rude to stand front of house and greet customers looking like you don’t want to be there. He seems to be in a world of his own, half listening to your order. Start smiling and looking like you enjoy your job/appreciate your customers. All in all it’s a nice place with a decent chef, just needs work on a few areas and it could be so much better.

Food was absolutely chronic. First bite and wow my lips fell off my face. Took my front door straight off the hinges with my steel toe cap boots. The lamb bhuna was the best I’ve had by far it was that nice I’ve taken a chunk of lamb and frozen it for Christmas Day. Thank you.

The delivery man was very polite and the food was delicious as always. This was my first time ordering it and it tasted how I remembered it did when I used to go into the restaurant.

We've eaten here many times and it's always been amazing. Tonight we came for an anniversary meal. We booked and I'm glad as only our table was free when we arrived. The music was just at a nice volume, there was a pleasant, bustling atmosphere. I assumed our food would take a while as it was busy but we didn't wait long at all. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I tried a dish I've never had tonight and it did not disappoint. The lamb was so tender and soft, I couldn't fault any of it and neither could my husband. Thanks again BB!

Delicious Food!! Great spices, Lamb Madras was very tasty. The delivery time was great for a Friday evening. I Would definitely order from here again.

Their butter chicken was one of the best I've ever had and the lamb dhansak (Opted for the madras hot spice level) had the perfect level of heat to it. Their menu gives you plenty of choice and the staff were very attentive, definitely a place to try.

Omg what a pathetic tandoori butter chicken i ever had from here. I was craving for some indian food and i find out this place highly recommended for Tandoori butter chicken... But seriously man. Your chef should learn how to cook... Anyway thanks for food.. Kindly dont change original recipes..
