Saw this reviewed by Rick Stein so wanted to try it and we weren’t disappointed. Extremely helpful waitress who explained everything on the menu. We shared 6 dishes and all were delighted. My favourite was the Okra chips and my husband’s the Bel Puri. Shame we live in the South West or we’d definitely be regulars

Visited sat tea time for the first time a family of 4 . It was rammed but we managed to get a seat inside . We had a set sharers meal for 4 everything was really tasty ( were meat eaters ) nothing disappointing in flavour . The service was quick and friendly . The place is clean and tidy . If you’re wanting a fancy restaurant it’s not the place for you but the street food as advertised is really good . Only negative for me is if your doing a set meal for 3/4/5 etc then when you send out items ie ( just one example there are many ) onion bajji then provide one for each person not 3 for a set meal of 4 people . There always seems to be that greedy one that will take it all 🤣 and not share same with potatoes . Even if you have to make the portion smaller due to costs I think this is a better way to do it on your sharer menus . ( just my personal opinion) . Overall nice experience good value

I went here today as was keen to have the bhaji as a lunch snack, having had them recently at the Manchester one where they were amazing- crispy, light. Really disappointed when they arrived today all crispy on outside but raw inside (literally cold oniony batter). I think maybe they made them too large or didn't fry long enough. Not nice. They were very busy but they really should check for better before it goes out.

Called for lunch on a day out in the city. Friendly welcome from Estelle who served us, found us a table and talked us through the menu, making recommendations. The place got very busy and there was a great atmosphere. The coriander beer was deicous and the food fantastic, we ordered 5 small plates, there were a wide variety of tastes and textures, everything tasted fresh and perfectly spiced . Great service from Estelle and the fellas at the bar counter. Reasonably priced too. We will definitely come back here and bring our friends .

Enjoyed here a lot got the combo for 2 to try a few different things and enjoyed every dish. The portions weren’t huge but I left full. Added on the bread and also tried the ice cream at the end. Would have given 5 starts but we had plenty of time left on our allotted time and the staff were trying to rush us out just cause we had finished eating. So beware once they’ve got your money you become a problem.

I just want to start by saying I’ve been here plenty of times and always loved the food ♥️ However last year I was diagnosed with coeliac disease meaning I can’t have any gluten at all 😫 (trust me I’m not happy about it either) 😂 The first time I went here after being diagnosed I was told they had gluten free bread and given it, it was only after eating the best gluten free bread I’d ever tasted I realised it wasn’t gluten free 😫 So I tried again an a few times I was fine. However after ordering gluten free items Saturday evening ive been super super poorly since. There is no possible way of getting “glutened” at home and I haven’t eaten anywhere else. So if you’re not an annoying dietary person go ahead but if you are pleaseeeeee don’t risk it. Love Natasha One glutened poorly person 😫😂

I swear, you guys are going to turn me vegetarian (or vegan). I've just ordered from you (on Uber Eats) and I can't quite put into words how much I enjoyed the meal. Dal is sneakily becoming my new favourite food, the barbequed paneer, mushrooms and peppers were mind-blowing. I did not, in my wildest imaginations, predict that mushrooms could taste that good. And the Khakri was so refreshing! And the portion size! Gigantic! And what was really gobsmacking was that, I've ordered from you before (and visited the Leeds branch once) and thought I'd already had the best you had to offer with the (gorgeous!) Okra, Bundo Chaat and Vada Pav and then you go and surprise me. Is literally everything on the menu, this delicious?! This is crazy! My stomach is crying with happiness. Thank you.

Amazing place to have street eat style dining experience. This is a rare vegetarian restaurant located right at the city center. Evenings tend to be crowded and there can be a wait time of 10-20 mins. Perfect ambience, mumbai chowparty style decor and sitting, peppy music, helpful staff and delicious food. Must try: okra fries, paneer tikka, ragda patties. For connoisseurs of drinks, they have a variety of drafts on tap and some really unique flavours which you would rarely find elsewhere.

Not as good as it used to be. Recipes have changed a fair bit: the Gobi Manchurian is now mainly mushroom (odd considering that Cauliflower isn't exactly something that needs to be rationed) and the Bel puri was also missing a lot of the essentials. Indian street food - cooked to restaurant quality - and then served in cardboard bowls may have created a niche market, but it is a far cry from any street food I have eaten in India. There is a good atmosphere, and the story of the company is well told on menus and on the tables. There was enough food on the combo for 4, but it was like a small taster menu rather a meal for 4. It was tapas, Indian style.

I visited Bundobust Leeds for the first time last Wednesday. I was greeted by the very kind staff member Easy. They made me feel very welcome and asked where I would like to sit down. I chose the table to the left. Easy gave me the menu to look at. While I was deciding what to i wanted on the menu, I soaked up the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the Indian playlist that was playing, the interior decor with old memorabilia , photographs on the wall. I went to the counter to order a pinot of tropical dhoop, a fruit wheat beet and Lunch express Combo. I selected the chole saag and the bundle chaat. The tropical fruit wheat beer was really nice. Very tasty, fruity beer. I enjoyed the Bundo Chaat and chole saag dishes. Nice rich flavoured vegetarian dishes that filles you up The Bundo Chaat consists of layers of samosa pastry, chickpea, onion, sec and chilly sauce. It came with yoghurt and tamarind chutney. The Chole Saag is made out of chickpeas & spinach, garam massala, onion and ginger. It served with puri. For dessert I decided to try another beer. I chose the mango lassi pale ale. It was an amazing beer that I tasted. It had notes of vanilla, mango, lassi yoghurt all in the beer. It was a delight. The Indian street food restaurant is quite spacious, and has many seats to sit down. They also a big courtyard area with outdoor seating available. The highlight of this visit was meeting the Bundobust founders Mayur and Marcos and having a nice conversation with them. Two very friendly cool guys that are very approachable and down to earth. Before leaving I bought 2 tropical lassi sour beer to try later. This tropical mango lassi sour beer has notes of mango, orange & pineapple. I’m excited to taste it later at home. I’ll be definitely visiting Bundobust Leeds again when I’m in the Leeds area for work. I recommend locals, tourists and visitors in Leeds to enjoy a nice meal there at Bundobust.

Another amazing experience at another Bundobust. We were in a weird time where we were hungry but it wasn’t quite dinnertime, so we were skeptical as to how busy it would be. The venue is deceptively quite big, from the outside it looks small. As we entered, it was buzzing with atmosphere considering it looked so dark from the outside! The food arrived fast, hot and fresh. As part of for Bundobust, the bhaji and paneer dishes are amazing. The menu also had some seasonal dishes made for the Euros (including their version of a Wigan kebab 😅) The whole experience is always good with Bundobust and this was no exception. Would recommend.

I haven’t been to a Bundobust for ages but absolutely love this Indian street food restaurant, tucked away not far from Leeds Railway Station. It was pretty warm when we arrived so it was great to be able to sit “outside”but under cover. Everything on the menu looked so delicious with firm favourites such as Vada Pav on offer. We had some of the snacks then 4 dishes between two, plus a mango lassi for approximately £33 which I thought excellent value. Portions are generous so although the menu suggests 2-3 dishes per person we didn’t manage to finish it all. The staff are great and very knowledgeable. It’s a lovely welcoming atmosphere and very relaxed. Order at the bar and the food is brought out to your table. Toilet facilities (washrooms) are unisex and located towards the rear of the restaurant. We visited on a Sunday but I noticed that they have a lunchtime express menu on weekdays which looked tasty and good value. Highly recommended!

Rated #2 to eat out in Leeds Timeout and a very sturdy review count. It doesn't live up to the hype. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so excited to go. As my Indian friend eating with us put it perfectly, "it's great for non-Indian people who like re-heated food.". They served us about 3 incorrect dishes. For the 2 we had energy to mention, they promptly replaced them. Too promptly, proving my friend likely correct that it is reheated food. The wet food was very average (wet meaning curry with sauce). However, all the over dishes I loved and all of us in attendance did agree that the food wasn't bad. Why on earth were they playing constant drum and bass, and I mean cocaine mdma style heavy stuff, borderline dubstep - I just don't know. It's a vibe but a stupid vibe for eating out. The cocktails were awesome. Who on earth goes to an Indian restaurant for cocktails, though. All Indian restaurants cater very well to vegetarians and vegans, so the fact that it's exclusively vegetarian is positive, but not a big deal for Indian cuisine. It's worth a try, but temper your expectations.

Tried to book a table today for a wedding anniversary dinner. A lady answered she so called her self the manager which is not true as I've spoken to the manager before. She was absolutely rude and not wanting to listen to what I was saying. I can't believe this is employed here as the food is great and just wanted to book a table. If you restaurant is closing early I was willing to book for tomorrow but she spoke to me such a bad manner so I will really have to rethink when i recommend this place again. YOU SHOULD HAVE ADVERTISED THAT YOU HAVE A DIWALI SPECIAL EVENT! The staff member who answered my call really needs to learn some manner as this is a knock on affect to the restaurant.

Wonderful dinner - we stayed in the adjoining hotel for a wedding in the area and came in as this was the easiest thing to do, but were delighted to be able to have such a great meal, with terrific service. A great Indian, you won’t be disappointed.
