This review is given in lieu of my husband. He always takes food from this restaurant and Praises about their service especially one of their staff names Nasir, who is very responsible, cordial and punctual. He is always conscious about needs and tries to cope up with customer demands. And last week I tried their foods that were also yummy. Specially curries, So this place is highly recommended for takeaways as well as dine in. I hope they keep up their demand more day by day and best wishes keep continuing your best Service 😊.

All of the dishes were so tasty! Lamb really tender, garlic naan to die for, plus willing to adapt dishes and make them hotter on request. Staff were lovely too. Much improved in terms of atmosphere and decor since last year. Every table looked happy and satisfied with their food and experience. We're planning on returning soon!

We visited yesterday at dinner for our wedding anniversary. Staff was outstanding, his knowledge on the menu and dishes was second to none. He made sure we took advantage of the dinner 2 or 3 course menu. Advising us to order different dishes and share to maximise our experience and to try as much as possible. The food is delicious, particularly the chicken tikka curry and lamb chops which melted in the mouth. The flavours were exquisite coupled with the aesthetics and ambience made for a very much memorable and enjoyable experience. We have eaten all over the world but this has to be one of the best meals we have had. We will be back. Thank you for taking our experience to another level! Customer service at it’s absolute best.

Mediocre food, place felt a little grubby and the toilets are a disgrace. Much better places in the area, I can't understand why this place is so high in the ratings

Amazing food amazing service. A warm welcome from Mr Nawaz the owner. Attentive and friendly but not overbearing. The lamb chops are the greatest chops in the entire world, if I had to eat one food for the rest if my life, it would be the lamb chops. Curry spicy but not overpowering spicy. Chicken is the softest and tenderest chicken ive ever had in a curry. Been coming to this place ever since it opened and i love this little curry house. 10/10.

Visited this Indian restaurant on Friday 3rd November 2023 with a ladyfriend.We got here early about 7.45pm we sat downstairs it was quiet but upstairs there was a private party on,didn't bother us,but must be a hassle for the staff as food and drinks have to be carried up the stairs. Talking of drinks they only serve soft drinks! Maybe don't have a licence?But then wetherspoons is next door so you get your cheap beers there(as we did). You would think the owners here would install a small food lift? We got asked if we wanted poppadoms and pickle tray,we said yes,just one each,99p each,plus pickle tray at £3.49 bit pricey?a diet coke each was £5.50 total,easy money for them when poured from a bottle! We had a main each £9.95 and £8.95,shared a keema rice at £3.45 and shared a big hanging garlic naan bread at £3.25.Total was £36.57 gave them £40 inc tip.Food is tasty and good quality.Only thing I don't like is cutlery is placed on tables straight onto bare table that's not hygienic,They should bring fresh cutlery to you,or better still bring your own.Would visit again.

Exceptional food, I love mint sauce, ambious is good, clean and tidy, rate is very reasonable. We stay at Travelodge (Stile Hill Way - Colton), Restaurant is just 6 mints away and have been there for almost One Week and visit every day. Last Weekend we ordered from Nawaz Takeaway Amazing food delivered . I have never had a bad meal from here. Delivery can take a few minutes longer than time given but this will be due to high demand orders and it is definitely worth it. They also provide extra popadoms and pickle tray too everytime absolutely love it and can’t wait for the next time

Not the usual standard. We have had takeaway from Nawaaz many times, the dishes this evening were disappointing! I was advised on calling that due to a big order there were no onion bahjis - so, I assume that it is why delivery took 1 hr 30 mins., the order did not include the chutney or mushroom bahgi and everything else was far from the usual standard and the veggie dish was tasteless! Definitely not worth £30!

Ordered a take away, king prawn kadhai and chicken karahi. Both dishes were bright red in colour, we couldn't taste any spices, in fact they were so flavourless we had to keep adding salt. I have never had to season a curry! Very disappointed and won't be ordering again.

I live in the area and decided to try this with some friends based upon the reviews on here. Quite how it gets so many 4 and 5 star reviews is a bit baffling. The food was very nice and very tasty. The service was pretty reasonable. However, upon entering I was somewhat underwhelmed by the interior of this place. It had more the feel of a cafe, serving Indian meals rather than being an Indian restaurant. Having the takeaway customers walking in between diners to collect their orders was quite distracting and detracts from the feeling of being out for a meal in a restaurant. Nice food. Poor ambience.

Incredible and flavoursome food! I had the mixed kebab for starter, which was tremendous and my partner had the paneer pakora The portions were very generous and the food was delicious! For mains, I had the chicken masala and my partner had the mushroom paneer balti. We shared a peshawari naan bread and rice- it was awesome although sadly we could not finish every bite. The customer service was 5 star and I cannot recommend this eatery highly enough.

This is one of best Indian restaurant in Leeds.we ordered 4 different types of dishes and all of them were delicious and tasty.Highly recommended and hopefully will visit soon.

As usual, hot wonderful, full of flavour and reasonably priced. You can bring your own alcohol too so an added bonus for an affordable meal out. Staff very welcoming and the butter chicken is to die for.

Recommend the garlic naan. Thalis are great if you can’t decide what to have. Service and staff good and welcoming real local feel. Bring your own alcohol. Drinks ( off license) just over the road if you need to buy.

Great visit to Nawaz on a Monday evening. Super friendly and tentative team, we were well looked after. Delicious food and nice atmosphere.

Once a gain our party decided that we would take advantage of the 50% off Wednesday/ Sunday offer. We decided to check that the offer was back on as it was taken down for the Christmas period. Haviong checked on Tuesday 11th January and the restuarant confirming the offer wa sstarting again on Wednesday 12th January. We booked a table for six for Wednesday 19th January. On choosing our meals we were informed a fe wminutes later that the offer wa snot on this month as the manager was on holiday and had withdrawn the offer. The poster in the window was taken down. Whilst not haapy about this we stayed for the meal which once again was enjoyable.

Food was delicious and Saj who served us made the evening all the more enjoyable. Will definitely be returning :)

Regular customer(jalfrezi is excellent, my curry of choice here for years). Tried the recent addition to the menu, Butter chicken on the last 3 occasions and this is now my favourite dish. Same quality in the restaurant or takeaway. Fella loves the Nawas balti seafood. Excellent food and the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Zaqib and the team always make time for you no matter how busy they are. 10/10!

This is the 2nd time our order was wrong. The first time (a few weeks ago) I ordered 3 chapatti’s with our meal but only 1 came! Tonight I ordered chips with our food but they didn’t come with our order. I paid online both times but Nawaz will never get my custom again. Such simple mistakes that can and willLose customers!

Had a group booking for a birthday meal and was not disappointed. Food great as usual and good value.

Food was nice but the service was poor due to the care and attention the waiter made to what we actually ordered. This was only noticed when we were given the bill and there was duplications of our order. Two occasions we ordered tap water and were brought bottles of water. There was a big confusion over the size of the naan bread. We asked the size and were told standard size naan. I even made a comment saying how some restaurants sell family size etc ‘no ours are standard size’ said the waiter. However we were given 3 family size naans which obviously reflected in the bill. The way the order was taken was very random. Half way through ordering food the waiter jumped to what another member of our party wanted when I hadn’t finished ordering for the four of us. Things got a little bit awkward. Like I said food was nice though. When given the bill we noticed how wrong it was. When explained to the waiter he said what was on the bill was what was served. We said that might be the case but we didn’t order it. After 20 or so seconds of an uncomfortable atmosphere he said he would take it off the bill. He disappeared, then came back after 1 minute to explain he has taken it off the bill but the deduction will come out of his wage via his managers instructions. Not something you really want to here as a customer. Wasn’t really impressed by the whole experience. This poor experience could have been avoided if the waiter had read back the entire order. We won’t be returning.

Although the food is nice the service at Nawaz is aweful. On multiple on occasions when we have eaten there the service has been slow. Whilst tonight we were charged for food we didn't order but which was served because of waiter error. Despite rectifying the bill eventually, the waiter made a point of telling us the manager had made him take it from his pay. We won't be going back again soon. A shame as the food is very good.

I would of give a 0 if possible. Actually shocked at this restaurant, the food was absolutely disgusting, we got a sizzling starter and the plate was soaked in water, the onions were raw. The meat was soggy Asif it wasn’t fully cooked.…the main we ordered was the worst curry I’ve ever had, it was lumpy sauce and so bland I ordered a garlic chilli chicken balti which was meant to be hot and tasted more like a korma (pretty sure they give us the wrong curry), but the worst thing about it their was bits of pink raw chicken in (picture shown below) I asked the waiter to have a look who was so rude about it and said it is defiantly chicken and just walked away, this made us feel so uncomfortable, we was put off by the food so left the whole curry and. we just asked for the bill, paid the full price and left.I will never come back to this restaurant and I will be telling people not to visit either.The only positive I can say is the girl on the reception, she was very attentive and took all our order details etc but for al the other staff, veryyyy rude and lack of customer service. I will be sticking with my regular Indian ‘JINNAHS’ in future.

We dcided we would sample 50% of main meal and were greeted with an excellant atmosphere, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much for the staff. The staff were very helpful in explaining how tehy prepare some of their dishes.. The service was excellant and the food arrived in next to no time, Teh food itself was well cooked and arrived piping hot.

Have been twice now, both times booking the upstairs room for a surprisingly good price. Food is of a high standard, and each meal was spot on to say they were cooked for 20+ people at the same time. The staff were incredible, kind, bubbly, overall great people. Finally, the experience itself is rare, not many other restaurants offer that kind of intimacy and closeness to the friends and family you are eating with. Fantastic place, would highly recommend, especially for a birthday or something of the like. Even just the average restaurant experience is highly enjoyable here, definitely give it a go

Today we visited Nawaz again, we last visited in the last lockdown when the restaurants first opened and had a loverly meal, throughout lockdown we continued to order takeaways from them and the food continued to be great. Visited tonight where we were greeted by Saj who was loverly and friendly throughout making sure everything was OK and we were happy. Brilliant service and brilliant food, we look forward to our next visit.

We use to come here for curries regularly and was really looking forward to a decent local meal after not being able to eat out because of the lockdowns. Really dissatisfied with the service and cleanliness tonight. We had poppadoms that came on a dirty dish which had dried sauce all on the bottom which wasn’t from us, extremely unhygienic especially in the current climate. The waitress was more interested in speaking to other staff rather than serving people. We would of usually left a tip however didn’t think it was worthy, after waiting around 10 minutes for the money to be taken, and staff walking past our table numerous times we had to ask for the money to be taken and change given. Such a shame.
