Excellent food and drinks as always. Service is second to none. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a curry in Aldridge - we've been coming here for10 years, if not longer. Sam and the team run an amazing restuarant with brilliant service and consistently great food. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We would highly recommend. Keep up the great work!

Went back to Kings for the first time in many years on a brief visit to Birmingham last Sunday and it was, as far as i can remember, the most outstanding curry I've had in my life. I went for the Dhaniya Cumin Gousht. Absolutely delicious. Perfect level of heat balanced by a rich blend of fragrant fresh spices. If only i lived in Birmingham! I'd be back sooner.

This is a review for a home delivery take away. To start with the order was wrong. Instead of two parathas they gave us one naan. The naan hadn’t been anyway near a tandoori oven. Looked like it had been grilled and had left the inside raw and doughy - completely inedible. Samosas greasy and tasteless, Aloo Duum with Lemon salty with very little hint of the spice mix I would expect and the lemons were missing in action. I won’t bother going through everything item by item but most of it went straight in the bin. I admit I have high standards of this cuisine having lived in Birmingham for 25 years but this meal didn’t even achieve low standards.

First impression? We arrived for our meal at 7pm... bit early I guess... and the place was virtually empty, usually never a good sign. However by 7.45 the place was rammed with people who obviously knew a good restaurant. I won't go on too much about the menu... it was full of things I'd never heard of. I started with a prawn cocktail. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary.... For main meal I chose the king-prawn delight.... and what a choice! It was delicious. Also, the staff here were brilliant... We will be back.

We've been ordering take aways for 8 years now, so let's deal with the high points first.... Flavour...100% Service...100% Value for money ( exl. the naan)...100% Consistency....100% until recently.... So, in terms of their take away mains... absolutely faultless, tasty and good portions, spice level just to our liking. Every bit as good now as it was 8 years ago when we first ordered. So what has changed? The naan breads... they get smaller every year & yes I get that their costs go up bit but seriously? Surely their costs on the naan don't increase that much. But, it's not even the increased costs of the naan which are such a huge irritation and red flag for me... its the quality. We ordered several keema naan a few days ago with our family meal. A keema naan is supposed to be a naan stuffed with a filling....not so..... no filling, instead a wee bit of coloured something or other smeared over the upper side of the naan. Not saying it wasn't keema.... just saying that a smearing on top does not equate to a filling!! It looks like tomato paste on a pizza.... Perhaps this was a one off bad experience, hope so because honestly their take away food is absolutely gorgeous, second to none for taste, but please dont scrimp on the smaller less costly items to you because by doing so you're just spoiling our feeling of value for money which is a shame because you're so good at the rest. But for the naan debacle, I'd have given you a 10 star rating.

We’ve become regulars here since moving to the area. We recently ordered a meal and when we got home it was completely wrong (they were exceptionally busy, these things happen). However, it was late and we were too hungry to go back or wait for a delivery. We phoned and let the restaurant know and they promised to repeat the order for free the next time. The restaurant honoured this and we had the order Saturday night. I’ve got to say it was the best we’ve had (even the naan bread was amazing, nice and doughy in places). So we will continue coming here for our Indian and look forward to eating in when we get the chance.
