Narvana in Stafford

We went for a family meal for my husbands birthday. Lovely food & great service. My 11 year old son says it's the best curry he's ever had!

We always have a great curry here it never disappoints! We had a chicken tikka Bhuna,Dhansak, pakora and chicken tawa all tasted amazing. Great portions but also so tasty and fresh. Service also perfect and a shout out to Ish who was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We never get a curry from anywhere else eat in or takeaway

22 of us visited this restaurant yesterday. It was busy, with a vibrant atmosphere. We had advised of our order ahead of arrival having anticipated how busy it might be. The food was good, service very good even the gently cheeky waiter! All our food arrived in a timely manner, well done for managing that! All in all a great evening amongst great friends and families.

Ordered a takeaway of king prawns and keema madras with peas and potatoes with chappats my wife really enjoyed hers but mine the keema mince knocked my socks off I grew up on mince curry and have cooked it for years I’m now 70 and can honestly say this is the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant it was if my dad had made it and took me back years not every Indian cooks keema curry so quite hard to get only recently found this restaurant but they have just made 2 new regular customers plus wait till I tell the family I like to mix it with lamb curry half and half so after writing this I can feel an order coming on love to use restaurant but in wheelchair hence the delivery’s but cannot recommend the food enough enjoy.

The staff were excellent and very happy to accommodate changes to the dish e.g paneer instead of chicken. The food is amazing, hot and fresh. We weren't rushed and given plenty of time between courses. Could not recommend Narvana more highly. Fantastic.

Work leaving party. About 15 of us. Service was the quickest I’ve ever had here and it was packed. Staff were very attentive. Food was delicious, too much for me to finish. The loo’s here have to be the best for a curry house I’ve ever visited. 👌🏻

We had a warm welcome, so off to a good start. On ordering our drinks, I asked if we could order some poppadums. The waiter was rather curt and said we couldn't do that until we ordered from the menu. Well, that's a first. Usually when we have been to any Indian, they are pleased to serve poppadoms whilst browsing the menu and chatting with friends. The food was mediocre. My husbands meal was cold and his chilli naan was mainly coriander with a hint of chilli. The lady waitress was the only one who was lovely and actually smiled. So, not a good experience and we won't be going back

Tonight we ordered a takeaway from Navarna in Stafford. A place I have used for at least 6 or 7 years. I had a mixed starter it was poorly presented and dry. Dani had a Tandoori King prawn which cost £13.95 the curry contained 4 King prawns which still had their tails on. Hannah had a lamb korma which was spicier than a korma normally is. (I tested it before I had eaten anything else) I was most annoyed at the King prawn. Rather than putting a poor review online I rang the restaurant to discuss it with them. The guy I spoke to was dismissive and rude. He said the Korma couldn't be spicier than normal. It definitely was. He said that the tails are always left on the prawns. I told him that was a really poor eating experience. He replied that you just pull them out of your curry and take the tail off. As for the 4 King prawns he replied that prawns are expensive. I replied not 4 for £14 expensive. He replied that they weren't from supermarkets they only use the best and they are big. They weren't. I told him that I was disappointed with his attitude and I would no longer be eating from the restaurant. He said OK and the conversation ended. Any recommendations for a decent Indian restaurant/takeaway.

I must say how I was pleasantly surprised when my order was only 15 minutes late and a beautiful angel delivered the meal, piping hot and with a free bottle of wine to say sorry! I tried to refuse the wine as the meal was only 15 minutes late but the lovely lady would not accept that and insisted I took the wine. I’ve used Narvana for many years and was pleasantly sunrises in this delivery. Food was amazing as always. Highly recommend this take away.

Nothing wrong with the food but a missing meal ruining a birthday celebration. Respectfully requested a refund on the card I paid with but they further spoiled the evening by "delivering" a cash refund to the exact penny. Obviously taking the p***. Never again...........

Having visited, & had takeaways many times from Narvana, we decided to have another takeaway.I have to say that once again ,the quality of our food was very good.However, our,Modhu Lamb, had very little Lamb in it, & was more packed out with potatoes.Very disappointed as this time definitely not value for money.

We've been eating here since it opened 10+ years ago, everything about what they do is excellent. We're been here for most of our family celebrations and have introduced extended family because we are confident in the quality of what we'll get. We are welcomed every time we visit and have tried everything on the menu - consistently excellent. The front of house and the chefs are the best and we will always compare with other Indian restaurants and despite eating Indian food all over the U.K. and abroad we haven't found anywhere better yet!

Made to feel uncomfortable from the start , dont ask for poppadoms , or youre doomed , crap house wine , mediocre food , ruined night thanks for nothing!

We have been visiting this restaurant for 10 years and it has always been fantastic. We had our first Christmas Day curry this year and it was superb As always !! Super efficient service and a wonderful meal . The whole family thoroughly enjoyed it . Thank you guys ☺️

Not eaten here fir 12 months plus but will now make it my I didn't of choice Simply bloody fantastic and I don't give these comments often Service excellent waiter there when needed but not in face Poppadoms fresh and crispy Plenty onions mint sauce and mango chutney Naan bread 3 different types all fresh not doughy at all and plenty of filling Rice as should be 4 different types of curry all excellent plenty of meat and sauce If you have not been suggest you do very soon

Gotta say after the initial shock of seeing a near empty restaurant,and being told we may not get in because we hadn't booked...the food was top notch in both quality and quantity...first time in a while i couldn't finish my meal... Will definitely be back...

After 2 overly hot takeaways in last month, back to normal. I order regularly from here & food is plentiful & tasty. Last couple of orders have been extraordinarily hot for dishes I’ve had several times before & should be spicy but not vindaloo hot....

First time in this restaurant, easy to find in Stafford , fantastic food served in lovely surroundings the only thing we felt was they were not as friendly as other restaurants we’ve been To, not a cheap restaurant but very good value

Excellent food in a delightful and relaxing restaurant. My only complaint was waiting over 30 minutes for my drink order to arrive after asking three times - to their credit they did apologise profusely.

I have used both options of sitting in or take away and always been very happy with the food along with their service. Last night our delivery was running late so without any prompt from us (as I knew it was a busy Saturday night) they gave us a bottle of wine for free. The food is always fantastic and the portions are plentiful. Lots of specialty options along with the classic as well. It’s my choice for Stafford.

My partner and I ordered takeaway from here for the first time last night on recommendation from friends and we were quite impressed with the taste and portions of starters/main. However the burnt to a crisp naan breads really detracted from the overall meal. We didn’t order rice because the 2 naan breads would be sufficient to accompany our mains, in addition to starters and popadoms. However unfortunately the naans were sub-standard. It’s worth another try to see if we get the same again.

My friends and me love eating in this restaurant. The food is delicious and varied.The menu is perfect for all tastes The service is excellent. I have eaten here do many times it is well worth a visit.

My first visit here and was well impressed. Eight of us went for my Wifes Christmas belated meal out - party.Freindly helpfull staffFood was lovely and surprisingly good large portions. I’ve been going for years and would normally give it 5 stars but last night was a serious blip.The rice was swimming in grease and has never before. Poppadum's were also cooked in an oil that tasted bad and were greasy.Naan bread was extremely dry and lamb couldn’t be chewed easily. 6 people ate and all complained.It was such a shame as normally great.

Recently had an excellent meal in the restaurant and so we decided to use the take out service one night and then again only a week later with friends. Both times the food was delicious. Both orders arrived on time and always correct. The restaurant sent us a bottle of wine on the second order which was a nice touch! Really recommend their chicken tikka masala.

there were 10 of us tried here after a night out in stafford, and everything was superb from starters to mains and extras, must give a mention to AJ one of our waiters, lovely lad and fantastic service skills, we had a fantastic night and if we are in stafford again it would be our first port of call for food thanks guys

Had takeaway, first time in ages from Narvana last night. Was best tasting Indian I’ve had in a long time. Portions were excellent, delivery time accurate & order correct (had issues with other restaurants recently).

Went here for the first (and only!) time based on TA reviews. I can honestly say (as someone who’s eaten in literally hundreds of Indian restaurants) that this is without doubt one of the very worst I’ve ever experienced.

We went there for our anniversary, always great food, and pleasant staff. Parking can be a problem, but there is a super market nearby with 3 hours free parking.

My husband and I visited Narvana tonight whilst on a two night stay in Stafford. We fancied an Indian and to put it simply we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and in many ways the best curry we’d ever had. We sampled the Lamb Biryani and the Chicken Nawa, incredible spicing and flavours, both with well cooked if not perfectly cooked meat.

We went here last Friday as a group from work. Lamb Moda - thats all I need to say! Bloomin lovely. All food and service was great! Cheers!

I have to say that the service and food were excellent, all of the staff were very helpful and they started our night out on a high not, but most of all AJ is the MAN.

First time takeaway from Narvana. Had 5 different mains and various breads, all were excellent. Very tasty, good size portions, easy on-line ordering delivered on-time and piping hot. Best curry I've had in ages. Wish I was in the area often enough to be a regular.

Have been coming to narvana for years and the food is always top notch! Bought our relatives here from America and they absolutely loved the food and I had chicken tikka saagwala and it was delicious. Can never finish it all so take it home in a doggy bag. Friendly staff and can take your own alcohol

Ist time visit. Welcoming staff and the manager introduced himself to us. He recommended various dishes and you could tell he was proud of his restaurant.

Recently visited on a Friday evening - very busy and a bit noisy but the food and service were good. Portions were large and all the dishes we had a s a group were excellent. You can either take your own drink or buy there which is a good choice

I have been to Narvana multiple times and each time the food has been amazing. Really tasty, always hot and you don’t have to wait too long for it to come out to you. There is food there for everyone, mild spice, vegetarian, hot and very hot! Narvana is fully licensed to sell alcohol but you can always take your own it’s entirely your choice. The service is great and last time I went Ali couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was any trouble. Most definitely recommend Narvana! *****

My husband and I often use Narvana take away service and have never been disappointed. We thought we would dine in the restaurant for date night on Friday night. It was great! Food was fab and service was incredible. Very generous portions. Can’t wait to go back again!

Our group of 14 spend the night at Narvana on Saturday to celebrate my sister in laws birthday and they didn't disappoint. Everyone agreed the food was excellent, I myself had a lamb balti it was delicious. The service was spot on all night from the moment we arrived. Thanks to Ali and AJ for contributing to a great night for us. Highly recommended people!

We went for a birthday meal and had a great time. There was a lively and warm atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming - particularly Billy! I was glad to see there were a lot of vegetarian options, and I really enjoyed the vegetable samosas. They also gave us a free Bailey’s, which I thought was really nice of them and made my sister (the birthday girl) very happy. It was a good meal and I will remember this outing for a long time!

This will be a bit long but please read on. We were booked into another restaurant for a birthday meal only to be told on arrival our table had been given away to a larger party, Raging!!! So we walked across the road to Narvana who were extremely busy but made room for us, the food was absolutely amazing the service was first class, a complimentary drink to celebrate the birthday boy, Narvana certainly saved the evening and we WILL certainly be eating there again. My wife always has chicken shashlic & I suggested a change ! She likes prawn so asked if it was possible to have a prawn shashlic. This was no problem at all for the very accommodating staff. Dish was fantastic as we're all the others. Narvana never fails in providing a first class dining experience

Was recommended to us by a friend with caution as it was ‘bit small and dark inside’ . We found it to be neither. Plenty of space between tables, food was excellent as was advice from the waiter regarding spice/ heat! Going again soon with more family ( ps added bonus you can take your own alcohol, the friend hasn’t been for a year is now going back on our recommendation!)

Me and my other half come to narvana a lot and it never fails to impress us, the naan breads are amazing and tasty, the staff are all friendly and helpful, the restaurant is very spacious.

My Mum (85!) and I had an early evening meal here on Thursday 17th January. The food was hot (as in properly cooked), served promptly and well-prepared and presented. Our waiter, Ali, could not have been more cheerful and attentive. I’d eat there again.

Very varied menu with lots of choice - every dish chosen was absolutely delicious.

It being New Years Eve the restaurant was very busy. Despite this the meal quality was excellent and service friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere at the restaurant. Looking forward to returning in the New Year.

Every time I come to Stafford to see my family I have to come here as the food is so good, great friendly staff and they always remember my name, if you like a good curry you have to give this place a try in all the years that I have been frequenting this gem I’ve never had a bad meal

4 of us went a few days ago, having a curry each, then sharing both naan breads and rice. All meals were nice and came to £50 for the 4 of us!

Seated within 5 mins , brill , food ordered with a few tweaks to the standard menu & it was no bother for them, brill service nothing to much trouble , highly recommended

We go to this restaurant all the time, always have fabulous food and service always excellent.

Went with my partner on a Sunday evening as I had heard it can be quite noisy on Fridays and Saturdays, I did not book and luckily it was fairly quiet and were seated immediately. The staff were very attentive and drinks order was immediately taken and drinks arrived quickly. A good choice of. Dishes on the nenu but the lighting is a bit low so people with poor vision may struggle (thank goodness for my torch app lol). Food order taken and quickly arrived, all the food was delicious and plentiful with a soecial mention for the Sag Paneer which was the best I have ever tasted.

Went here for a Birthday party. it was nice and tidy and we were seated with the rest of our party instantly. I had tarka daal main (lentils garlic coriander) It was the nicest one I have had for many years,Nice and thick with big slices of garlic cooked into the lentils .Egg fried rice had nice big pieces of egg and the garlic naan was lovely and crispy .We had around 22 in our party the only thing that could have been done better was to take separate orders as sorting the bill out at the end was a pain .

I have eaten at many Indian restaurants, but Narvana was a cut above your average Indian.

Tried here as part of our lads monthly curry club. The portions are large (Which is a good thing), the service was good and the quality was very good. We all enjoyed it and one of the best ones we have visited recently. Good value good food!

Good food for the money and the service is decent, cannot really complain just seemed to get slightly worse as we went on
