Called the takeaway direct to order a delivery for the first time from this establishment. The ordering experience was extremely friendly with person on the other end of the phone realising I was a new customer and asked me my name. I was then informed I would receive a complementary side dish which was nice. The food arrived within the time I had been advised and both my wife and I found all the food to be superb. Finally, to top it all off, the price was extremely good value.

I can't refer to this place as Malancha as it remains forever in my memory as Omars. Last time here I had a very acceptable meal. But, mid week dinner several years later, with a different name on the door not so much. Pre booked a table for x3 at 19.00hrs and on arrival I can honestly say, I've had warmer welcomes from my dentists. Pre booked a table for three, mentioned that we had a reservation and the guy looked at us gone out. Bit like Katie Price in a library. Oh and as a fuller figured gentleman, some may say fat git (& they'd be right!) It'd be nice if they unlocked both the outside doors. So me and my mate sat at the table waiting for our colleague and eventually got offered a drink and poppadoms but we declined the latter until arrival of our friend who had driven from Birmingham to meet us. The cabaret consisted of one of the waiters picking his nose, then inspecting the fruits of his efforts and bashing on with serving the guests. Nice. We all agreed that the food was underwhelming. Cant be bothered to go into detail about the dishes we were served, perfectly edible but yeah, non of us had our taste buds entertained. Couldn't be arsed to have the conversation with them as I suspect any attempt to improve would've been fruitless. Look , try for yourselves, you may have a completely satisfactory meal, I hope you do so please - give it a whirl I was hopeful the son of Omars would be up to par but sadly my search for a good Indian restaurant in the Rugby area, like Lord Sugar looking for his next apprentice, continues. I've just moved in around the corner discovered I have an Indian and Chinese on my doorsteps I thought I would give them a go, my balti was both salty and flavorless at the same time my naan bread was ridiculously doughy and crappy, my coconut rice contain no sweetness. I've had far far better take aways in Rugby and shall not be returning to Brownsover again which is a shame as it's ridiculously close. Feeling a lil rough now...

Visited last night and did not stay long enough to place an order as this restaurant is blatantly ignoring all advice for the staff to wear masks. From the manager down masks were either being wore incorrectly or not at all. When I asked the manager why he was not wearing a mask he replied 'that he had had the vaccine'. Such an ignorant and ill-informed reply made me to leave immediately. They are an insult to ALL other venues who are working so hard to preserve their businesses whilst still maintaining safety standards
