Absolutely dreadful asked for chicken tikka masala and it wasn’t what I ordered as it contained lots of spinach and was brown and very watery. The keema Nan was a thin bread like a chapati with a thin brown spread, told the order was correct although I had eaten the exact same order the week before without any issues. Refused refund too

I ordered Chill Chicken, Manchurian, Chicken Biryani, and Specially i requested to chef for Tomato Soup, etc. And The Staff behavior was very satisfied. And Food quality is also yummy. Thanks DILRUBA Teams.

Had a take away . Shocking food . Used to be 1 of the top Indian restaurants in town . Part of the order was missing ( the rice ) . When I rang I got an automated message. Number no longer exists . Ordered a tikka masala which was too spicey to be edible but it should he mild . Lamb saag looked like dog food. Came with a free poppadom . Chucking in fee items but forgetting the items that accompany a meal that's paid for , what has this place come to . I will stick to the Titash in future. Never getting that money back. Avoid .

I’ve never had a yellow pathia before and don’t want to again. Really weird and bland food. We ordered two different curries and they looked and tasted the same. The food was very late. Avoid.

Disgusting Food, ordered their special lamb shank and there was no lamb shank. The quantity of curry was less. Secondly the nan had no kheema stuffing. These people along with Just eat are big cheaters Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!

Must have changed owners as food was awful. Poppadoms tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed recently. Naan breads very very chewy, tikka masala was pink and bland. Was more like a korma. Won’t be ordering from there again. Dead food.

The curry was not what we ordered, had loads of whole cherries and almonds in which wasn’t in the description of the chicken tikka masala. The description wasn’t the match to products.

This used to be a classic Indian restaurant..we hadn't been there for a couple of years and was very disappointed to find it half the size (other bit now a barbers) , very light and modern with no atmosphere , cold inside , service average, barr poorly stocked and food distinctly average .. though to be fair poppadums and naans were very good. RIP Dilruba

The food was absolutely disgusting, the chicken tikka masala was a very strange colour and the texture was gross. Tasted a bit like Heinz tomato soup with a bit of curry powder. There was something wrong with every meal and they tried to charge us for side dishes as though they were a full meal. Will never return. I would have given no stars at all if that was possible.

Can’t fault this restaurant. Pre-ordered for 7pm and it arrived dead on time, driver was polite. Food was piping hot and delicious. We also made a special request for something not on the menu which we received no problem. Would definitely recommend 👍

What used to be head and shoulders the best curry in Rugby has gone totally downhill over last year or so - so disappointing.

Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. We stayed in Rugby for a few evenings and attended some of the other restaurants in the area. This restaurant was by far the best food and service! The food was incredible in it’s depth of flavours and quality, the presentation was fantastic and the overall experience was great. If you’re looking for a curry in Rugby then I could not recommend this more.

We have eaten many times at the restaurant and ordered probably too many takeaways over the past year. Historically all have been high quality, fresh and ensured repeat business. Tonight the food was way below par. We ordered a bhuna and jalfrezi... Both were thick, brown base sauces and definitely not fresh. They both had a funny taste - enough to not eat our meals. Be warned ... The meal may not be what you're expecting and will not be worth the heavy price tag you will pay.

Ordered takeaway for my family in September 2020 at a cost of nearly £70. Food tasted as though it had been frozen and re-heated, everything was far too sweet and watery, and tasted like it was out of a jar. Place used to be lovely but has gone really down hill - we will not be returning.

The food never arrived when we ordered for delivery and when I spoke to the restaurant, they said the driver had delivered it to the wrong house! No apology was given and now I have have hungry children and have ordered from elsewhere. If only they had apologised. I have lost complete faith in this restaurant.

New chef? That was awful - wife’s Hara Murgh had no spinach or spice - chicken in my Mirchi Murgh was chewy and dry - paid for a main Chana Pindi, and it was barely a side - such a disappointment.

We made a last minute decision to go here on Tuesday night to make the most of the governments eat out to help out scheme, as everywhere else was fully booked. That should’ve been a sign when they said they had a table! We’ve been to a few restaurants locally since lockdown and we’re surprised by how little covid safe practices were in place here. One waiter wore his mask pulled down the whole time, and the other waiter didn’t wear anything on his face. They had no hand sanitiser. They usual the usual old menus. Worst of all, they didn’t ask for our details for track and trace, so hopefully no one that’s been there tests positive as they would have no ones contact details! The menu was very confusing, and didn’t list any traditional dishes. We decided to have the dine in offer, poppadoms, a starter, a main and rice / naan for £15. The sauces / pickles with the poppadoms tasted watered down, I had a mixed starter, which was over cooked and chewy, my chicken tikka masala main was ok, albeit a small portion, but the sauce was very bland, more like tomato soup than masala! All in all, it was a horrible experience and I will never go back. It’s a shame as the last time we went, 3/4 years ago it was good.

Food was nice however you ignored my notes about wanting a well done garlic chilli naan. Instead you sent the garlic potato naan. I've said before you need to add a menu option for Garlic Chilli Naan, plus maybe a "well done" option for all naan breads. Disappointed as I love your garlic chilli naan

The restaurant called to let me know the food would be delivered early- it didn’t sound like I had much of a choice. The food was piping hot, and the quality was ok. Tasty tikka masala but oily sauce.

Most of the meal was outstanding but the naan breads let them down. They were, sadly, undercooked. I would happily order from them again but would probably leave the naans off the order.

Had a really good night out starting in the Dilruba for my son's 18th birthday fantastic food lovely people. They played Happy Birthday and gave my son cake when they found out we were there for his birthday lovely start to the night we will be back

First time back here in a while. We were massively disappointed despite repeatedly explaining that I am gluten intolerant I have ended up having a very bad reaction to the food. We mentioned this to the staff who said they had not had this issue before. The food was otherwise poor and certainly no where near as nice as it used to be. If you have dietary requirements they don’t seem at all sure despite explaining exactly what items you can’t have.

We used to visit here allot but not been for a few years so tried it tonight but was very disappointed the starter was supposed to have king prawns in yet I couldn’t find any! My wife is gluten free and after being very vocal about this her starter came out with a breaded prawn on it! Then her main made her that bloated and sick due to a gluten reaction we had to give up and leave. The manager was not helpful at all and we paid the full amount and left. They clearly don’t understand food allergies and if my wife had of been celiac like others we know it could of ended up allot worse! Compared to how it was years ago (busy) it’s definitely changed

Took my husband out for a curry, customer service was very bad. Food was ok. Never asked if we were ok, didn’t come to our table to clear the plates I had to go and pay my bill at the till. Sorry but get more staff to cover the people sitting and paying. Will not be visiting again.

Me & my partner had a takeaway from here tonight, upon opening you could see a thick layer of grease on the main dishes. I had "chicken korma" which tasted nothing like a chicken korma, far too almondy for my liking & it just generally had an unpleasant taste. Everything was bland, even the mushroom fried rice was bland. I can honestly say this was the worse meal I’ve ever had from an Indian restaurant, there are far better Indian restaurants in the town. I would not advise any of my friends or family to go here & I certainly will not return. The food is actually repeating on me & I have acid now (which is not something I tend to suffer with).

We've just return from the Dilruba and as usual we are full and totally satisfied with the food. For a vegetarian the choice is superb and every dish is tasty and well balanced between spice, hotness and taste. The best curry house in Rugby.

Great service. We were served swiftly with poppadoms and dips. Myself being vegetarian I had plenty of choice the onion bhajis were the best I've ever had.Reasonably priced. The manager couldn't do enough for us. First time in Rugby and I will be returning to this curry house.

Nice atmosphere and welcomed by manager , who quickly sorted drinks - when food arrived which was fairly quickly , it was very pleasant but not quite as described , we ordered very hot dishes which came and were mild , tasting good but not spicy at all sadly , next time would send back to be spiced up but still tasted good ! First visit to this restaurant, easy 5 minute walk from the railway station. Did not have starters other than popadoms and chutneys which were good. Main course for me was the Jalfreizi, this was quite hot but very good. Other main courses in our group were also very good. Only negative was the 2 for 1 offer which was not honoured in full. Would return if visiting Rugby.

We were travelling in the area and ended up here after a sat nav malfunction - we’d done our research and were heading to another restaurant, but had a quick look at TA reviews and it seemed OK - we were mislead!

Two of us ate here for the first time tonight.. amazing!! we ordered a selection of the veggie meals, as small portions, so we got to try a lot from the menu.. enjoyed it all very much. Finished off with the coconut icecream.. so good I could have had another few :)

Saturday evening meal didn’t book but was accommodated just two people. Food was excellent but the "service"...was some of the worse we’ve experienced,slow,ignorant,inhospitable to say the least.

This was our second visit to the restaurant and will be looking forward to our third. The service was excellent, our waiter being Babu who looked after us superbly, and the main dishes and rice were really tasty. Would have given it 5/5 for the food but I thought the dips that came with the poppadoms were watery and tasteless.

We came on a Saturday and the restaurant was very quiet. It definitely lacked atmosphere, and the service was below average considering there was only one other group in the restaurant at the time. We ordered a lot of side dishes so we could try lots of bits, and a few naan. The naan were quite dry, most of the side dishes were very bland but fine. My stomach was fine the next day, but I must note that everything we ate was vegetarian.

Went here for the first time after using a different takeaway for many years. Food is very good and plenty of it. Delivery is quick would recommend the butter chicken.

Our first time visiting this restaurant, lots of tables but not overcrowded. Were offered poppadums and drinks as soon as we were settled which arrived only minutes later, no rush to choose our food and happy to explain the dishes. Empty plates and glasses were collected quickly and our mains turned up in good time after this. The food was delicious and exactly as described on the menu, my partner usually goes for the most hot curry but was more than happy with something less hot put with more flavour, I had the butter chicken which was a new edition to the menu and was lovely. A brilliant meal out and will definitely be re-visiting in the future.

I often visit this restaurant with my wife. We usually both have the spicy madras but I recently tried the Dilruba juicy gosht and my gosh, it’s delicious. Delicious and spicy! The service here is very good and much better than a few years ago.

Definitely a cut above the rest, with obviously quality ingredients especially the meat. Some unusual dishes and I loved the fish Bhuna very lovely. The staff are always attentive and friendly. Good value tops off a great restaurant.

Having had one of the best curries in a long time a few days earlier in Worcester, we were truly disappointed by Dilruba.

Hi, I’m really late posting my review. We visited in February for Dad’s Birthday. I always have Hara Murgh because I love the combination of the spinach & mint in the sauce. This time Dad opted to try a new dish (new for him) & tried the Murgh Chandni Chok, it was so good, the chicken is marinated & sauce is really delicious, I’d definitely recommend it. Mum had Biryani as usual. The fresh Naan breads & draft Cobra beer always go down well too. We will be visiting again soon. Sam :)

Having used this Indian for 30 years I can say that tonight was the last time I will be going there. Service was terrible, portions were much reduced and the quality was questionable. There seems to be an issue with their set meal offer which isn’t clear at all leaving you with a much higher bill thdn you expect - all like they choose what’s not included after you’ve eaten. A very poor night all round!

Had a chicken tikka masala delivered on a Thursday night around 8pm. All good and came in about 25 mins.

Absolutely loved the Dilruba, tried it after a recommendation and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve lived in Rugby for over 10 years and have always felt let down by the quality of Indian food in Rugby. Until now.....

I recently went to a leaving party for my friend at work and I ordered a chicken tikka masala.. I can honestly say this was the worst version of this dish I have ever had. It tasted of bbq sauce mixed with tomato purée, and one of my other friends who also ordered the same dish was of the same opinion. We spoke to the manager who decided to argue the point and did not offer an alternative dish or a refund, therefore based on service I won’t be returning to this restaurant. We both didn’t eat our meals and we were still charged full price.

A midweek meal while here on business entertaining my son who studies in Coventry. Set out to go to a nearby curry house but saw this one on the way past and reckoned it looked good. Very glad we called in. A friendly welcome and attentive but unobtrusive service. Good range of drinks available and a menu that offered the usual options plus some interesting specials . We both chose a special and were delighted with the quality of the food. Decent portion sizes served stylishly . Desserts were also delicious which is not always true of Indian restaurants. Think the bill of about £60 was decent value given we had poppadoms, 2 beers each and desserts. Happy to recommend and will definitely come back. .

We went in at 9pm and there were two other tables. These soon disappeared leaving us on our own. The service was helpful and timely. The menu had a number of specials. The chutneys from the poppadoms were bland. The starters were only ok. My prawn puri -the pancake was chewy with little filling. The special tandoori were small but reasonable. The mains were small and reasonable. The rice was cold. All the breads and vegetables were excellent. The sweets with coffees were good. Overall could see that food could be good, restaurant cosy and warm, but not just its best day.

I use the word Indian carefully, because the chef IS Indian, not the usual Bangladeshi. There is a wide variety of classic restaurant dishes plus some of the chef's own recipes. The quality is always good and it has been our restaurant of choice in Rugby for a long time now. The service is friendly and prompt. I can thoroughly recommend, and that is based on over 50 years of eating in a wide range of Indian restaurants throughout not only Rugby, but across the country (and beyond). Beware though because if a dish is described as hot, it will be.

It was ok the starters were a bit greasy and the tikka masala was really sweet and some of the chicken was over cooked don't think i would try again.

Was recommended this by friends and so glad they did. Telling it as it is, not the smartest and modern interior but I honestly do think care. The food is nothing short of tremendous. Genuinely I cannot remember such a great range. Lots of different to the norm type dishes, we have eaten here twice now and both times was superb. Pass this restaurant at your peril, you are missing out.

When I worked in Rugby, this was our "go to place" for the best curry house in Rugby so for a small family celebration and on the strength of Trip Advisor, we booked a table for 9 people, last week. We arrived at 6.30 and shown to our table and it was a few minutes later, that one of our party noticed a small advert on the table stating that if you ordered before 7pm on a weekday, you got 15% off your food bill...funny that the staff didn't mention this.....we subsequently ordered around 6.55 !

Only 1 starter received, food had to be reheated at home. Both chicken dishes appeared the same unable to identify as not labelled which was which. Very disappointing they really need to work on their takeaway service if offering it, eating in is so much better :-(

We've visited here many times however will not be returning the service is disgusting Coz the main waiter is gone Who was lovely and friendly (may be already they loose lots of regular customers abscent of the nice waiter who is Always ready to help )and now the manager is rude and far from ideal in fact rude and far from the point 2 hours to get our mains and the restaurant was not even full. A place to avoid with great caution. It's a real shame as the setting is perfect.Food is not good may be cheef is changed

En primer lugar hice esto en línea para la entrega, pero por desgracia había una llamada para decirnos que no podían entregar como conductor no estaba disponible. No importa, me dieron un montón de tiempo así que lo recogí sin ningún problema. Tenía un pollo tikka masala con arroz pilau y un keema pan. Todos hasta el nivel QUE YO normalmente y muy agradable. Precio razonable.

Really nice food. Waiters were helpful and friendly, food served quick. Medium can be quite hot, I got a Lamb Razala which was delicious but spicy! One thing I would say is that the fried prawns in batter are bit tasteless, need seasoning. Overall, fantastic.

We ordered a takeaway chicken chat, described as fried chicken with chic peas and potatoes with the chefs special spices. When we got home it was fried chicken tikka with fried onions, absolutely disgusting. What happened to the chick peas and potatoes. This was a new dish on the menu they should have considered having all the ingredients before introducing the dish. Really disappointed

Great food, courteous and attentive staff. Restaurant well presented and comfortable. We don't often eat out at Indian restaurants but would definitely return here.
