Excellent selection of well cooked and prepared food selection. It was popular and was a little noisy for conversation. My friend and I had much to catch up on and spent nearly 4 hours there. The staff were kind and accommodating. Love place, lovely staff. Free parking. Excellent all around.

The food and service was good but the whole meal was rushed and within 1hour and 10 minutes we were told that we would need to take our drinks out into the garden because they had a big group coming in and needed the table. Very disappointed as last time we went, we had a lovely evening. I think they should appreciate the small groups as well as the big ones, as we are the people who go back time and time again.

We have been using this takeaway since early 80 s tried other Indian takeaways sorry no a patch on this takeaway we've lost the best Chinese takeaway in Gloucester I really hope we don't lose this takeaway cos I think if we do I'm maybe going to have to stop having takeaways cos nothing compares to city Indian and parkend Chinese

Went in based on other people's Google reviews, and they appeared to have a good South Indian menu. Given a table for one, far end (from door) next to the bar/ till. Food: well prepared, tasted excellent. But, only 4 pieces of chicken in the Kerala Chicken Curry. Asked for water 3x, finally got 1 glass. One of the staff needed an extra chair for another group. With permission, my jacket was placed on the chair by a large empty table. Confused as to why he could just not have picked up that chair, which was exactly the same distance from him as the one with my jacket 🤔. Went to the washroom while waiting for my meal order to arrive. My drink, cutlery, and empty plate were still in place. Returned a few seconds later, my chair was given to another customer. However, if it was taken, I feel it shows the character and personality of the customer base (and the staff) of this restaurant. There was another empty chair closer to this new customer. Therefore, my suspicion is that this is a family, relatives, and friends (of the staff and owners) only restaurant. Atmosphere: it's only for family, extended relatives, and friends of the owners/ staff. So, yes, anyone else who feels or felt that they weren't welcome, I would say they were/ are correct, and most likely you were/ are not on the friends list with this group. Would not recommend it to anyone else at any time. There are plenty of other restaurants from the Indian subcontinent serving South Indian food.

We eat an awful lot of Indian food, this was one of the the worst. And the fact,we have both been ill this morning with upset stomachs, something that has never happened before just adds to our utter disappointment. Firstly the starters, mixed kebab, dry lamb kebab, chicken without much flavour, then the worst samosa we've ever eaten, almost metallic in flavour. Well we didn't eat them, tasteless, bland, poor filling,I feel bought in,not homemade. The mains,we were looking forward to a flavoursome meal again,an utter disappointment. The Chicken Deshi apparently a chef's speciality.Bland fried chicken breast pieces, then cooked in the sauce with the okra, the meat was tender but utterly flavourless,it had taken on none of the layering of flavour, you expect,no skill in this!!I've had better supermarket curries. The Lamb Korai, swimming in ghee,no real sauce, not hot as it stated and again totally lacking any complexity of flavour. The only items that had any flavour and were passable, were the Bombay Aloo and Bhindi Bhajee the rest was a waste of money, and most ended up in the bin. On the plus size the portions were a good size but to us flavour is paramount and pretty much the whole meal fell very short. We won't return, what a waste of £50,for a very upset stomach.

Just had one of the best Indian takeaways.... Got this delivered at the caravan and motorhome club site and they were on time and rang us to say they had left... The Indian food was absolutely delicious and the portion size was amazing..... We tried pineapple rice and lime jeera rice as we had never come across it before.... And OMG was soooo tastey.... I had a paneer dish and OMG they were so generous with the amount of paneer I couldn't believe it.... This Indian deserves 10/ 10 and when we ever decide to come bck again with our caravan we will definitely be having a take away from spice room again without a doubt thank you :)
