Whilst this business is new and developing our dinner was a huge success. There were 19 of us and spirits were high. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We were waited on beautifully, no one was left without food or drink. There is a very high chance of a return visit. I believe they plan to decorate to give the place a bit more atmosphere which will be good. Nice to be treated so well.

We have just moved to the area and we found this place on a walk so we sat outside and ordered samosas cake and coffee I must say the somosas were the best ever the staff were welcoming and so freindly we are planning to go for lunch next fri we would definitely recommend you give it a try 😀

Habibs was amazing; it is such a shame it's closed down now. They should be proud of the food they were making.

I have been visiting Shaan for the best part of 20 years. However, the last couple of times, it has been noticed that drinks have been added to our bill (writing isn't really elegible - is this on purpose?) even though they weren't ordered. Both times, the manager has claimed that it was by accident. Food and service standard hasn't been up to scratch either.

Came for valentines evening whilst staying in the area and the food was lovely. The food is such good value for money! It is nice to go somewhere where the sides are £3.50 not expensive like most other places! The staff are really friendly and nice, they made a dish that wasn't on the menu for us which was lovely. I really enjoyed the mixed tandoori grill, saag aloo. And the nan breads were amazing! The entrance/restaurant window certainly needs some working doing to make it look more inviting and the food is better than the way the building looks , don't let it put you off for a great value meal

The food and service is utterly disgusting. We booked in for the 30th September. However, when we arrived we were told that our table was given to someone else and that we'd have to wait another 10 mins. 10 minutes passed and we were told another 15 minutes. If it wasn't a birthday meal we would've left and gone to the Shaan Restaurant. When we sat down, we asked questions about some dishes on the menu only to be responded back with, "you're white, stick to the mild dishes". I was gob smacked with the waiter. I requested for the manger but the waiter had already stormed off muttering "honky" under his breathe. Disgusting and racist. I got up and immediately left with my family. Never again.

12 months ago I ordered a take away of a chicken tikka masala and it was amazing, really flavoursome. Last weekend we ordered it again, but this time it was very disappointing, it had very little flavour. The textured didn't seem watered down but it tasted like it had been watered down. Takeaways are so expensive now so a disappointing product means a treat has been spolt. Won't be risking my treat again.

Having read good reviews, we tried DaBa. The staff are nice and the poppadoms good. The main courses were not good. A vegetable byriani was very big, but had little flavour and spice. The veg curry was also bland. We also had a different sounding dish, the Memsab. It was a bland mix of unidentified bits of meat smothered by a fudge coloured tasteless cheese sauce. Disappointing.

We know the take away food is brilliant so tried the buffet tonight. The food was plentiful with a good range of options and very flavourful, it’s a really nice relaxing environment too. The ice cream was good too, premium rather than generic in taste. We will definitely be back.
