Bilash Carterton in West Oxfordshire

We’ve been using Bilash for years now and can quite honestly say they do the best takeaway Curries around and we’ve tried a good few other companies now and can’t find anyone to beat them. Delivery can be a little bit of a wait at times because they are in great demand due to the great curry’s and Its never an issue to wait a little bit for something worth waiting for. Well with all this talking about curries I’m off to order one now!

So had to wait 1:20 minutes for our takeaway, which was not a problem as with friends. We were sat...

I have been using the Bilash Tandoori for over 25 years now and personally think it can't be beaten for the quality of the food that is served up. Have tried other restaurants but always end up back at the Bilash.

We decided as we couldn't be bothered to cook to get a nice Indian takeaway. Having been to the other Indian in Carterton we thought we would give Bilash a whirl. Ordered over the phone the staff were polite and it was very pain free. The menu on their website was good but slightly annoying because you couldn't scroll down on your iPhone, had to fire up the laptop to look at it properly.Ordered a fair amount of food between us and it came and the majority of it was hot apart from the rice which was not really hot. We went for egg fried rice and it was pretty tasteless and a bit disappointing. The chicken Patia was really enjoyable and the sag panner was excellent. Also the pashwari nan was just the right level of coconut sometimes they can over do it.Overall the service and good were very good and we would eat from there again.

This curry takeaway is available for delivery and collection. Staff always friendly. Curries are hotter than other Indian restaurants/ take always. Usually have a Balti, but unable to eat from bilash as very hot with lots of chopped chillies. However the milder curries are delicious.

This place has moved since my last stint here in Carterton and the place is clean and fresh. The menu is varied with a mixture of traditional and special options.I particularly enjoy a Patia and it's very tasty. We always want to try something new from the menu.They deliver locally, but make sure you ask how long. I normally just pick it up myself.Only curry house in the local area that we used.

Very tasty and not greasey like others can be, delivery option avaliable. Chicken tikka dansak a joy and mixed kebab yummy

I love love love this place. I am gutted to have moved too far away now to get it. It is definitely the best Indian takeaway I have ever had. Always fresh food.

We will only order from Bilash as we have never been disappointed with ANY of the different dishes we have tried. Their food is second to none. The service is always very efficient and the staff are always friendly. Dont go anywhere else, you'll be disappointed!!

I've now been to the Bilash twice and both take always were absolutely amazing! So much flavour in every dish me and my partner ordered! We were very impressed!!! Tops the Aangon Indian restaurant on the high street in Carterton!

Fast service, despite being busy - ordered 'an' old favourite - cooked to perfection - never fails to deliver excellence

An OK Indian, not exceptional by any means, but in no way the worst. A couple of times I have been in there the staff weren't overly friendly, they just wanted everyone to eat and get out. But does the job.

Really good quality takeaway better then of Indian restaurants I've eaten at! We have ordered there 3 times now each time spot on.

Really like this indian take away. They don't have many vegetarian dishes but are happy to change their mains.

Goood staff, great food, plenty of items to chose from, I can't remember ever having a problem with this company not a bad thing to say about them, service is always top notch and that is despite being very busy all the time.

We had a lovely takeaway last night. The food was obviously freshly cooked and very tasty. Chicken pieces were nice and large and well cooked. The Bengal Pullao is superb and my wife's favourite from here. I had a Bahgahdad with chicken and is was very spicy without too much heat about Madras level, very nice indeed. The chicken tikka is very good and one of those dishes easy to compare with others and the Bilash stands up very well indeed, superb tikka. If you are in Carterton I would strongly recommend you try the Bilash, it is usually an hour wait but worth it.

All the staff are very friendly and polite, they're always busy. Good quality food, prompt service.We've never had a bad meal ever. highly recommended.

Just finished a Lamb Byriani and Keema nan with Sag aloo, best i have had in years, delivered exactly on time at a very good price. def eat from Bilash again.

Polite and prompt service. Food is always excellent. I have used Bilash since it opened in the 1980s and have never been given real reason to complain.I would say to a new customer that they may seem a little pricey with some meals but, believe me, you do get what you pay for with this take-away.One minor niggle. If they are busy and you opt to have the food delivered it may arrive a little on the cool side. Nature of the beast really. I get round this by collecting my own if I order on a Friday.

Having just returned from a tiring business trip, my first meal had to be a curry - I was not disappointed - the service was fast, the food was excellent - thank you Bilash (see you again soon)

Very polite ordering service, (take away only, not a restaurant) easy to use website and menus given with your order!Reasonable in price and we can't fault the food! Ordered a takeaway for 4 adults, we are new to the area and had family upto visit, all 4 of us had the most delicious meal, from the starters, mains poppadoms everything was so tasty, they even managed to deliver the chips still crispy and not soggy in the slightest, we will defo be ordered again, my sister in law said it was the nicest she had ever had and they order weekly back home, we all had a great mealPrawn puri, saag aloo, chicken tikka massala, chicken madras, chips poppadoms, naans, rice, chips, chapati, parahra etc, honestly would highly recommend

We have been getting takeaways from the Bilash for some time and they are often a great way to end a hard week. The menu has plenty of variety with options to suit all tastes. The staff are always friendly and home delivery is always an option. I think we have had most of the traditional dishes with firm favourites being the chicken tikka, lamb bhuna and korma. Dishes are plentiful and we often end up freezing a small portion for another day. Delivery times vary. Mid week we are looking at 40 mins and the weekend, approximately an hour. The prices are competitive. We absolutely recommend this takeaway without any hesitation.

We live local and always use Bilash , amazing food with plenty of flavour. The menu is extensive and the staff are always happy to recommend a dish. Friday and Saturday nights are busy and delivery is quite a wait but I don't mind as it's always made to order and fresh food . Prices are reasonable shame they don't have a sit down restaurant as there's nothing else decent in the area .

Having moved away I do miss not being able to pop down to Bilash and pick up a weekly take-away treat. Always found the service to be top notch and never had a bad meal, would still happily recommend giving these guys a call.

We have always got our Indian takeouts form here. The food has always been tasty, however there have been a couple of occasions when they were clearly using a different chef as the shahee chicken was in a much more orange coloured sauce and the dhansak was different to. However this would not put me off and both varieties were tasty. On busy evenings there can be a wait of an hour or more due to high demand. This speaks for itself as to the high standard of food as there are no shortage of other Indian takeaways in the area that are not nearly as busy. The food is worth the wait.

This is by Far the best Indian in Carterton.The meals are very good and plentiful.They will Cater for your needs and are always polite and helpful.

We ordered our dishes at 5 o'clock immediately after they opened and our meal was delivered a few minutes earlier than the time they gave us when we ordered. Have found that if we order at the most popular times we have to wait a while longer but Bilash always deliver as they say. Their drivers are always courteous and friendly. The dishes are always carefully packed to avoid leakage in transit. Oh.... the dishes are really tasty and well cooked. never go anywhere else since we discovered Bilash.

Been eating bilash for more than twenty years there's none better.also I was a driver for them for over eight years so I can tell you the kitchen is spot less.

We have been ordering from Bilash for many years, the quality of the food is very high.For this reason expect long delivery times at weekends, but it is worth the wait. The Chicken Muktaaj is a triumph, full of fresh ginger giving it a delicious flavour. Drivers are always courteous and friendly.

Excellent service, excellent menu, excellent curries!Friday and Saturday delivery can take a while but its worth the wait. You can collect if time is an issue.Only improvement would be an online order option.Five Stars *****

We've been using this take away for about 5 years now. Of late though some minor issues have cropped up when placing telephone orders, such as missing rice dishes or incorrect main dishes.Great food but just double check when placing a telephone order. They always sorted out the issues very quickly.

Most times we have a had a good take away from here but recently all prawn dishes have either been shrivelled up and hard or lots of shell left in. Will try again i'm sure but hope it get's back to what it was before.

This is my favourite place to ordering in for a delivery. They food if full of flavour and the chicken is always good quality and large pieces too. I especially like the garlic chilli chicken. Fairly spices and medium-hit flavour. I must stink as I always order the garlic fried rice, which is not at all greasy. Poppadoms are never smashed and the nan is really fluffy. All the family love the food from here.although it asks you when you visited I order fairly regularly.

We order from Bilash quite often and we have never had a bad experience. Our order once was wrong (sent a curry instead of korma) they had noticed and one was already on it's way to us when we called and arrived within a few minutes.Staff are always polite on the phone and their drivers are too. Food always arrives hot and is very tasty. We wouldn't order anywhere else in Carterton. Definitely recommend.

A excellent & consistant quality - delivery can be slow at busy times (Friday & Saturdays) but always worth the wait

Just finished a Bilash curry delivery and until we started eating this review had fallen to 2* as it took over an hour and a half to deliver and both our curries had a rather gross millimetre of oil sat on top which is an immediate turn-off.However, I do have to say that the taste of the food was lovely, especially the Sag Paneer which I find it difficult to find a curry house that does a nice one....yet all the time I was eating I couldn't help thinking about all the oil :(We may well be back but I sincerely hope the delivery times come down and the food is not dished up drenched in grease!

Large takeaway orders (over 50) placed and a long distance for it to travel.Always a pleasure to do business with the manager Khalik and the food is excellent as well, which is always a bonus!Would recommend to anybody, and if you are not happy I will eat it for you.

If you want an excellent taste of Indian delivered to your door you can't go wrong with Bilash. Good quality food delivered quickly in and around Carterton.

We travel a 50 mile round trip to collect a curry from here! Even though we live in Swindon which has plenty of Indian's none compare to the Bilash! It's usually still hot when we get it home.

Very good service the staff are friendly, very clean place. The curry's are excellentand not over priced, all in all well worth trying if you have not tried it yet.

Lovely lovely curry, friendly staff, quick delivery. They'll adapt a dish if you want, good menu, reasonably priced. It's a local legend.

Although you do have to wait a while for your meal to be delivered, it is so worth the wait. I have also been to the premises, which are exceptionally clean. Of all the Indian eating places in and around Witney, this is the best. Food is just excellent.

This take away is the best I have found in the Witney and Carterton area. I have been ordering from them for many years now and the meals are consistently fabulously tasty. They don't bat an eyelid with special instructions such as "chicken Korma with 3 green chillis". Just Brilliat!

Brilliant takeaway always excellent food, service is quick and professional. Only thing I would comment on is more meat is needed in the dishes as most times it tends to be more veg than meat...always use bilash!!!

We asked the Bilash to cater for a work function for about 80 people. Asked them to keep it simple with a tikka masala. Unprompted, they included a couple of portions of hot sauce for people to spice up the food if they wanted. The food was delivered piping hot and was delicious, with a generous discount given for a large order. I will without doubt ask them to cater our next function. Highly recommended.

For the past ten years Friday night has been/is "curry night" & Bilash of Carterton have never failed to deliver!Please excuse the pun but Kalic & his team never fail, freshly cooked, hot & delicious indian food every time. They have catered for our parties upto 100 friends enjoying a different start to the evenings celebrations.
