The best restaurants serving Indian food in Shepway South East

Such lovely food yet the service let you down. The lamb was cooked well and fell apart. Naan bread thin, crispy and tasty. Great flavours all round, Sadly we seemed to have been overlooked during our dining. We were offered one drink in the 1 hour and 45 minutes we sat in the restaurant. We also didn’t receive the chef’s complimentary amuse bouches, despite seeing other tables having them. We weren’t offered dessert or coffees either. Upon payment of the bill we did mention the service to the waiter, he said they were understaffed. Such a shame!

Great takeaway. We had a variety of mains and sides, all of which were good, tasty and fresh. Ordered via Uber eats and 2 naans missing, hence 4 stars (not worth contacting to replace as too much hassle).

The food at the Treasure Chest is to die for. The food is beautifully presented and it tastes wonderful. Have tried nearly everything on the menu and really enjoy the different specials that come up each week.

We came for my partners 60th birthday. The food was amazing, would highly recommend. Very different from regular Indian restaurant and very lovely staff.

What can I say. Working in the area, I was after some breakfast, which, for me, is normally in a cafe of some description. What did I find ? This place. Kiera, the waitress, makes you feel at home straight away. The food ,Lebanese, is superb and freshly made in a windowed kitchen that is spotlessly clean. The chefs make traditional Lebanese foods. Most of which ticked my current diet status. For 2 weeks, I returned to this cafe/ restaurant, trying different breakfast and lunch dishes every day. Will I come back, yes. Should you try it if you're in the area ? Yes. A spacious seating area and a fair carpark made for some far to relaxing lunches. Best of luck to Kiera and the rest of the team!! Take away client. Chicken Shashlick is my go to. Kiln cooked & not in a high calorie sauce. In 20 years Dabbas really is the best I've ever had & its consistent. The chicken is cooked absolutely perfectly, soft & juicy when it can be over cooked so esily. All the sundries, rice, saag pander & salads all equally fresh & tasty. Delivery is also pretty quick. Cannot fault Dabbas food & service.

Enjoyable from the start this quiet Indian restaurant has some excellent food. We had the Thali which comprises of three courses, served in small dishes. Truly different and very tasty. They have a novel selection of non alcoholic drinks that they make up. Quite honestly more than each of us could eat. A foodie delight. The only down side were people that came in from the street to use the toiler and some noise from the bar next door.

All staff are welcoming, friendly, and professional. Food is always tasty. The music transports me to Nepal every time I visit. Very interesting and attractive decor. Toilets are always clean. The lounge is spacious and very relaxed.

First time tried, Authentic Nepalese food, fresh ingredients and unique flavour, really enjoyed the take away meal, definitely visit again, Strongly recommend this place to try.

What an amazing,friendly service, and tastes takeaway! I can't see us going anywhere else now. This is the best madras I've had in years and everyone else was so happy with what they got too! 10/10, would recommend!

The best curry in Folkestone never been disappointed

First time here for myself and my husband. They don’t hv a license to sell alcohol so ordered pineapple juice which was a weird colour, food was average. Had chicken masala which was very watery and bland. Went to the bar to pay for our meal only to see our waiter scooping up big bare handfuls of food from a bowl to place onto dinner plates. When he saw me he promptly dropped the rest of the food back into the bowl and proceeded to wipe his hands down his uniform, he then came straight to me to take my money without washing his hands. Won’t be going back

We had 2 tandoori mixed grill one wet and chicken dansak, some rice man poppadoms andmango chutney take away delivery.... it was delivered quicker than expected, all dishes was bland dansak had no heat at all and the chicken was dry hard and horrible . .. we have used romney spice regularly for years but no more it was horrible and expensive 😢
