Such lovely food yet the service let you down. The lamb was cooked well and fell apart. Naan bread thin, crispy and tasty. Great flavours all round, Sadly we seemed to have been overlooked during our dining. We were offered one drink in the 1 hour and 45 minutes we sat in the restaurant. We also didn’t receive the chef’s complimentary amuse bouches, despite seeing other tables having them. We weren’t offered dessert or coffees either. Upon payment of the bill we did mention the service to the waiter, he said they were understaffed. Such a shame!

We have had good curries from here in the past but unfortunately, the last curry was stone cold and tasteless. This time it was cold and the chicken was dry with a peculiar taste. The naan was cold and chewy. Very disappointing overall so not sure we will risk it again.

Fantastic fresh food, very accommodating, brilliant value for money, Roger & Claire the owners couldn’t have done more for us and made me feel very safe with regards to Covid. Such a friendly setting. A little hidden gem with a fantastic menu.

Take away client. Chicken Shashlick is my go to. Kiln cooked & not in a high calorie sauce. In 20 years Dabbas really is the best I've ever had & its consistent. The chicken is cooked absolutely perfectly, soft & juicy when it can be over cooked so esily. All the sundries, rice, saag pander & salads all equally fresh & tasty. Delivery is also pretty quick. Cannot fault Dabbas food & service.

Enjoyable from the start this quiet Indian restaurant has some excellent food. We had the Thali which comprises of three courses, served in small dishes. Truly different and very tasty. They have a novel selection of non alcoholic drinks that they make up. Quite honestly more than each of us could eat. A foodie delight. The only down side were people that came in from the street to use the toiler and some noise from the bar next door.

I had never been to this place before and only stumbled across it due to them giving away furniture. So I messaged the ad on Facebook and asked if what I was after was still available and was told to go down between 9am and 12pm. Which I did. I got there for 9am. The manager/owner wasn't in yet and after the staff called him, I was told he would be there in 5 minutes. The staff were lovely and offered me a drink while I was waiting. After half an hour and a few phone calls from the staff, he finally arrives. I explained again what I was there for and was actually laughed at. After a bit of discussion, he told me to take the chair and pointed to one next to a main eating his breakfast (I'm so sorry if that man is reading this). The whole cafe was looking at me at this point. I was then left to try and get the chair through the doors without help. Honestly, one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. I was made to feel so small just from responding to a Facebook ad... I can honestly say I will never be returning to this place to put money in that man's pocket. Such a rude person! If I hadn't been made to wait half an hour I think I would have just walked out without the chair. If the manager/owner reads this. Maybe make it clear what your ad is advertising and try being on time when you give a time to someone else. Your manners could do with improving too!

Takeaway for two on a Wednesday at 6pm. Starter Onion bhajis. Very dark, greasy flat pancake. Yuk! Main courses were both off their new 20th anniversary (July 2024) new meal section. Came in a large container with 7 pieces of chicken each. One meal described as hot - Chennai with chicken. Verdict, don't bother, chip shop curry sauce with pieces of chicken - no vegetables at all. Other meal was Roshon with chicken. This had same colour and flavour as the Chennai. Verdicts. Don't waste your money, just go to a chip shop and get a tub of cheap curry sauce. Chef, why serve two different dishes to the same customer which both taste and look exactly the same. Also why just put thin curry sauce over meat without even trying to add some...(any) vegetables. There were no vegetables, not even onions in the meals. This is an insult to curry. You have cut too many corners and need to rethink your business. Sorry, we will not be back.
