Love Fat Raj......always a great take away, I’ve never been disappointed. As for the man himself and The Fat Raj crew…. they take customer service to another level. And if you wanna sit in there and eat, you can grab a beer from Dockers next door. Biscuits

Ordered a takeaway and it arrived in good time and was hot! Very impressed with the chicken vindaloo and the king prawn saag. Deliciously fresh prawns and a thick, flavoursome sauce. Recommended!

We have had good curries from here in the past but unfortunately, the last curry was stone cold and tasteless. This time it was cold and the chicken was dry with a peculiar taste. The naan was cold and chewy. Very disappointing overall so not sure we will risk it again.

This is a great place for a casual dinner. We didn’t want to get dressed up but also didn’t want to just get a takeaway. This is ideal, relaxed and friendly environment Staff are lovely and make you feel welcome Food is lovely

What a find ! We stumbled on the Fat Raj whilst walking in Sandgate on a rare hot summer night. We sat outside and the staff were really friendly. It unlicensed, so they recommended if we wanted drinks to go next door to the bar, Docker Brewery and bring drinks over ! So that’s what we did ! The food was delicious and really good value. It was a really fun, cheeky, informal, and delicious.

We ordered from the Fat Raj as the menu is easy to navigate and the food is always lovely. Well, we were not disappointed . The man on the end of the phone was so courteous, the delivery time was excellent and the food was exceptional. I love the way you order here. So easy and simple. You just know what you are ordering snd paying. Genius.

Had a takeaway delivered this evening . Tandoori chicken , korma, chicken birianni, bhajees and a few other bits.. all fantastic.. when it was delivered I noticed I was missing a naan bread... well I phoned and mentioned it and it turned out I actually hadn't ordered it .. so completely my fault. Well, within 7 minutes I had a keema naan delivered to my door free of charge as the very polite gentleman I spoke to on the phone insisted I have the full experience. High end service accompanied by high end food . Thank you so much . Speak soon.

Wow the best curry I have had in a long time, just delicious, bursting with flavour, reasonably priced, friendly staff & great service. So glad we decided to try this place as we have been looking for a decent curry place for a while now, with no success. This is definitely my new go to place for the best curry. 👍🏼😊

This is proper authentic flavoursome curry dishes without all the oil and indiscernible slop you usually get served. Absolutely brilliant fresh, bursting with flavours and individual touches - my husband had the Murghi Masala - Chicken with egg, he loved it What a joy to get proper prawns in my masala. Highly recommended

Our local takeaway has gone really downhill so decided to travel a bit further and try the Fat Raj… Absolutely lovely! Chicken vindaloo was not only highly spiced but was also very tasty with a thick sauce, everything else was fantastic too. Very friendly service, good sized portions, ready on time, everything was just perfect. Really very happy and am currently sat here absolutely stuffed!

Best Chicken Tikka Madras I’ve had in years! Perfectly cooked rice and naan too. The menu includes all the classic curries. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Couldn't ask for a more friendly welcome and the take away was truly delicious- perfectly and delicately flavoured - we had the chicken korma and a paneer bhuna, papadums and an amazing Peshwari naan. Will definitely make this is a regular for takeaways. Thanks very much.

Best curry we’ve had in ages and it was great to choose between large and small portion size. Really friendly service from both guys serving, will definitely be back.

We ordered through Just Eat and got something that looked like barely a half portion. My wife ordered Saag Paneer. First of all it was ordered as a main, but it was a appetiser sized container and the container was not even half full. I ordered the Chicken Patia and It had the look as if someone had already eaten half. My wife was not happy at all, and phoned them up. They suggested a replacement order but I would have had to go pick it up. I also wondered if they could get it right even a second time. I mean, this wasn't because of some mistake. Someone in the kitchen had for some unknown reason decided to give a half portion size. I understand those services such as Just Eat take a big bite from your profits. But there's no need to try to compensate by taking it out on the customer. If you do that, you just end up with unsatisfied customers. Due to this experience I probably will not order from here again. Just Eat ended up refunding me about 40% of the price, so at least I got something in the way of compensation. If you want to order from here, I suggest, try ordering direct and maybe (?) you might have better luck. Who knows, maybe they have turned over a new leaf.

Very good Indian food bursting with flavour and really friendly service. I liked being able to talk about level of spice and flavours and got to try something different that I really enjoyed. Reasonably priced too. Will be back
