This restaurant takes the word 'authentic' to quite a new level! I'm sure we've all eaten in restaurants which say they provide an "authentic taste of......" but Manju's not only offers authentic regional indian cooking but also has the courage to take you away from the familiar english version of indian cookery to the kind of flavours and dishes you might actually expect in Gujarat, all freshly prepaired by someone who clearly knows what they're doing. If you want chicken tikka masarla then this is not the place for you. An experience not to be missed.

Been to Kukis a few times now and it has never disappointed! The chef was very helpful in recommending dishes and clearly knows what he's doing!! Great prices and good beer served on tap. All round wicked experience every time I go! 5/5

Very good service. Lots of people serving you. Friendly staff. Modern indian dishes very tastey. Nan bread one of the best i have tried. Two types, regular and garlic. Medium prices.

Whilst wanting to keep this superb service top secret, I also want them to succeed. You book via WhatsApp a time slot and they send you a menu to select from. Monthly specials are worth it. This is delivery only, placed lovingly in tiffin tins, which are collected the next morning. Slots go quickly, so get in there; you won’t regret it.

We at The Fox Project would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Simply Veg for their exceptional contribution to our recent charity fundraising event. The food you provided was nothing short of spectacular! Our participants were absolutely delighted by the array of freshly made choices, each bursting with flavour and creativity. Not only was the food outstanding, but every dish was served with a big smile, adding a personal touch that made our event even more special. Thank you for helping to make our fundraising event a resounding success! We look forward to working with you again in the future. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem in Kemptown village! This is the best Asian cuisine in the UK served by heartfelt, passionate people. Don't expect a menu as exquisite dishes are cooked fresh on a daily basis by Nicky. Husband Lonnie is handsomely hospitable and at hand to talk one through the quotidian delights. The best soup that I have ever tasted in my life was the 'Butternut squash, coconut and miso' until I invited my daughter to join me the following day when we were knocked out proper by the 'Panjabi Achari Gobi soup'. Off the scale!! Indonesian salmon, Burmese chicken, Keralan salmon, Malay noodles ... oh and the chai is like being back in India and the beers are lovely and I'm moving to live nearby because I miss the experience so much! I've been around the world but this was a diamond experience; not due to the close proximity of the summer susurrating sea (which was marvellous) but from the magic that Nicky meticulously prepares and that Lonnie generously delivers. Wow!

Came tonight as I was using the laundrette next door , I came in and asked fir a menu to see what j wanted fir a drink he asked why would you want a menu if you only want a drink? I said because I don't know what i want to drink. Then as I ordered my 3rd drink he came with the card machine harassing me for payment I said "I haven't finished yet why would I pay" 🤔 he started shouting telling me "incase I'm busy when your leaving" i said "have these other guests who were having food paid yet" he said "yes they have paid" I said "that is a bit strange usually you don't pay until you leave a restaurant I will ask them" he started shouting saying "no no no they are having there dinner they will pay before they leave?" Bare in mind I have been in this place once a week for drinks for about 6 months I Asked for the manager as I felt very uncomfortable and he said "he was on delivery tonight" Anyway never again think i was treated very unfairly for no reason as a lady on my own

Probably the best Indian takeaway I eaten in the local area. I had the Balti Vegetable Chilli. It was ridiculously good with great underlying flavours inc. cardamom. The portion was such that I have frozen some for a second helping. Tried my friends’ vegetable biryani and vegetable madras. Equally great. The price was unbelievable. Will certainly be using this takeaway in the future.
