The best restaurants serving Indian food in Central Liverpool North West

Wow! I have to say that I am so jealous of you Liverpudlians, you have the best Indian restaurant in the whole of the UK. We visited from Hull over the weekend for the Grand National and managed to find this amazing restaurant. I have travelled the UK for nearly fifty years and have visited many Indian restaurants but Ikkayees restaurant is the best of them all. All staff are very friendly welcoming and the food was out of this world from the poppadoms and pickle tray to the main meal, everything was perfection. You can tell from the outset that these people are so passionate and care about everything they do for their customers. I cannot wait to return to your lovely City and experience this amazing restaurant again. Thank you so much Ikkayees Mike and Kerry from Hull

Was staying down by the docks with my daughter and stumbled on Sanskruti. What a find! This is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant but don’t be put off meat-eaters. I’m a carnivore but there was nothing missing flavour-wise from our meal. Portions were very generous, prices reasonable and service was efficient and super friendly. Love my Indian food and we have some fantastic restaurants in London but I really enjoyed our meal and will be back when I next visit Liverpool… All the food looked amazing but, for what it’s worth, we had the pappadum and chutney tray (good portion and loads of sauces), babycorn salt n pepper; aloo gobi; Paneer Malai Kofta; Pilau rice and a garlic naan…

Great night out... had the street food set menu and it was delicious. Fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service was also a bonus with this great meal. Highly recommended

No food has arrived,been waiting 2 hours now says delivered and no food

Many times we been to rumi restaurant the previous place was nice and better. Services was good, food also good but we can't find more food options on menu don't know why...

Well what can I say...This lady can cook!! Amazing food made with love. Today I did brunch with my besties what a shout.. All my girlies loved our day together. Great food quality cocktails. Thankyou, we will be back.. :)

First time I’ve been here since about 10 yrs ago In all honesty I should have waited anothe 10yrs Ordered the king prawn balti it was cold, bland and watery wouldn’t recommend at all The best thing about the balti was ……. The tray that it came in Not a happy customer :-(

Llamó aquí la pasada Nochevieja en una noche muy lluviosa en Liverpool. Estábamos empapados y preguntamos si tenían alguna toalla que pudiéramos usar solo para que nos entregaran un rollo de papel azul que estaba bien. Primero terminaré con la comida y luego con el servicio. Pedí el entrante mixto para dos y cuando llegó le pregunté al camarero si era eso? Parecía una pequeña porción, pero dijo que era cierto. Tomé el pollo biryani y pedí una salsa de tikka en lugar de la salsa de curry habitual y ambos estaban listos. ¡Ahora el servicio! El personal me pareció bajo en número para la víspera de Año Nuevo y el camarero que pregunté sobre el entrante cuando pedí nuevos cubiertos para nuestro principal literalmente solo les puse un juego en la mesa y mi juego en una servilleta sucia en nuestra mesa que nunca he experimentado en ningún otro lugar. ¿Vamos a volver? Definitivamente no por favor ver fotos.

The restaurant had good food and the staff were generally kind. However, while we were eating, they kept approaching the table to check if anything was finished, and they would take away empty plates without asking. It felt intrusive and gave the impression that we were being rushed. In the future, it would be better if staff waited for customers to call them or at least asked before removing anything from the table. A more respectful approach would really improve the dining experience.

Delicious food, was recommended to go to this restaurant by an ex local. Thank goodness exquisite Indian food. Great options for me, as a gluten free customer. If you like Indian food this is the place for you.

Una pandilla de amigos, reservamos temprano el viernes. Gran servicio, comida y bebidas. Golpe en la ciudad. Precios muy razonables y no nos detuvimos en el pedido. Gracias al jefe y a todo su personal. Sin duda volveremos y recomendaremos UNI seguro. 5 grandes estrellas en total.

Shame, seems this restaurant is now closed

Esta fue una visita no planificada ya que mi padre y yo intentamos entrar en otra casa de curry, pero debido a la espera de 40 minutos decidimos probar el restaurante Indian Delight como alternativa. Cuando nos sentamos y nos dimos cuenta de que éramos los únicos allí, debería haber visto mi error de inmediato. El restaurante parece que no ha sido decorado desde mediados de la década de 1990 y había un olor rancio y almizclado en el aire. El restaurante estaba helado (para ser justos, nos preguntaron si queríamos mudarnos a una mesa diferente, pero no puedo ver cómo hubiera hecho eso ninguna diferencia si la calefacción no funcionaba). Las cervezas estaban bien, y los poppadoms y la bandeja de chutney estaban sabrosos. Los platos principales eran pobres, carentes de mucho sabor (mi papá dijo que el suyo tenía un sabor extraño y metálico). El arroz era grasiento y el pan naan era demasiado pastoso y también grasiento. Olvidaron los bhajis que dijeron que nos darían gratuitamente por el error. Ojalá no los hubieran traído para ser honestos. Cuando recibimos la factura nos cobraron más de £ 4 así que les pedimos que la quitaran de la cuenta. En general fue bastante terrible. Los dos empleados que vimos allí parecían miserables. Si el restaurante quiere sobrevivir necesita mejorar todos los aspectos del lugar, la comida, el servicio, el ambiente. Los baños eran horribles también. Era más de £ 25 para cada uno de nosotros también, así que no es barato o relación calidad-precio. Pagamos nuestra cuenta y nos fuimos afortunadamente después de aproximadamente una hora. Evita este lugar, hay muchos, muchos mejores restaurantes en Liverpool que aquí.

Se me considera alguien con un diente súper dulce, pero mientras probaba el nuevo pastel de galletas Lotus Biscoff me pareció una experiencia de carga de azúcar abrumadora. Desafortunadamente, simplemente no pude terminarlo (que es algo que muy rara vez haría de postre).
