Amazing experience at sultans! We went for my boyfriend’s birthday & the service and food was perfect. All staff were so kind and were very helpful organising a happy birthday cake for my boyfriend last minute!! The food tasted very fresh and flavourful. We had the South Indian garlic chicken curry and the Rara lamb with two pilau rice and a garlic and cheese naan. It was very generous portions and it was priced very fairly. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Came for a few days to Liverpool to celebrate a 40th, googled around and sultans came up as one of the best in Liverpool. We arrived a bit early but they were amazing and seated us straight away. The food is amazing and so is the service. If you’re in Liverpool pay it a visit.

Staff were amazing from start to end! They were very busy, forgot a drink at one point, and our bill was a bit of a wait, however, they did apologise and this did not ruin our experience. Food was delicious, would highly recommend. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, however, when you enter you go downstairs and it is massive and very modern and clean.

Have been here several times, it is my favourite Indian restaurant. The food was delicious as usual and the service was fantastic. Until the next time Sultan’s Palace 😋

Disappointing experience. The food was just okay—not much flavour, and despite requesting it to be spicy, nothing had any heat at all. The atmosphere was cold, both literally and in terms of service. The waiter seemed unapproachable and unfriendly. When I asked him to wash a glass, he inspected it with a mean look and just gave it a quick rinse instead. Not somewhere I’d return to.

Visited Liverpool for weekend April 5th -7th, booked a table for Sunday evening. excellent meal 5*****lovely staff, surrounds were beautiful. highly recommend. will certainly be back when next trip to Liverpool. Mr William Richards Dunfermline Scotland.

The food in Sultans Palace was amazing as was the service. The decor and ambiance was lovely too. So glad we dined there. We will return I highly recommend Sultan's Palace.

I waited patiently for several minutes to be seated. Whilst waiting I spotted a vacant table for one: I was dining alone. A member of staff came over and when they learned it was just me they scoffed and directed me to wait for 15 minutes in the reception area. I declined and took my business elsewhere. I've just spent an obscene amount of money at a curry house down the road. Big mistake. Big. Huge.

We had a meal for Mother’s Day and I will go as far as to say this is the best Indian food restaurant in the whole of Liverpool. The food was out of this world and the portions are generous. The staff were lovely and welcoming and we even got a complimentary drink to celebrate Mother’s Day! Highly recommend.

Came for a meal with a large group of 10 people. As we had pre-booked the table was ready for us and we were seated really quickly. I had a Lamb Biryani with Fish Amritsari. The fish was battered really nicely and was full of flavour and spices, which really made my mouth water. I could easily have eaten a plateful of just this! The biryani was surprisingly large, and I wasn't able to finish it all unfortunately, the rice was fluffy, and the lamb nice and tender too. One of the better biryanis I have had!

Absolutely delicous food, the meats were fresh and very tasty and the dishes were all cooked to a very high standard, very reasonably priced too and the staff were soo polite and friendly, a must visit in Liverpool!

My only complaint was about the peshawari naan the coconut could not be tasted otherwise a really good visit.

When a place is a busy at 5:30pm on a Saturday night you know you’ve hit the jackpot! Amazing food, so flavoursome. Even though it was busy, the service was great and they didn’t rush you out the door / first visit, will definitely be back!

Food Excellent as usual 10 out of 10 as usual i have been dinning at the Sultans Palace for 14 years Christmas Meals , Birthdays , Anniversary's over this period I have travelled all over the country and believe me the food and staff are excellent, they are very obliging and always go out there way to seat us in a booth , and accommodate for my young Grandchildren

Full even on a Tuesday night but they found us a table. Service swift and efficient. Starters very good. I'm a wimp with spicy stuff so found the main too hot. Naan very tasty. Happily separated the bill out

I can honestly say this was the best Indian cuisine restaurant I have ever been to. Every box was ticked. Quality, price and staff. I’d recommend getting the banquet for 2 as it’s the best value for money and you get desert included.

Fabulous meal on a Friday evening with friends.... Atmosphere is so goood and decor is beautiful, as it's underground and entrance doesn't do the restaurant justice, as you feel like you are in a Sultans Palace once you enter underground. Food amazing...quality food and great portion sizes... Service excellent and nothing too much trouble for the staff..... Just 5 minutes walk from Cavern Walks, Victoria Street end... Highly recommended if you live quality Indian food..

Absolutely amazing experience at sultans palace last satuarday ! Was sat down straight away and were checked up on through out the meal. My favourites were the Chicken Lababdar! It was packed with loads of rich flavours and perfectly spiced. The garlic naan was to die for, soft yet crispy. The service was quick and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu! I recommend booking in advance as they get busy.

Valentine's Day treat, and as delicious as always. Standouts this time were the Sultan Chicken Lababdar and the Lamb Hara Piyaz Masala along with an especially tasty Saag Aloo, not to forget the fine mixed tandoori starter for two. But really, they never let us down. A friend from New Orleans still remembers relishing the South Indian Garlic Chicken at least a quarter of a century ago.

Lovely and welcoming restaurant. Although we visited on Valentine’s Day and did not book, we still managed to get a table. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Tasty food!

Our first ever visit and it really didn't disappoint!! Unfortunately we forget to take any food pictures, but there's plenty of those online. We were there with two other couples (table of 6) and were shown to our tables quickly, with menus offered straight away. Plenty of time was given to decide and ordered drinks with no pressure from any staff. Out starters arrived not long afterwards, all very fresh and hot, very tasty and a brilliant start 👍 A nice gap before our main meals arrived, which was all amazing, again all hot and fresh. My partner and I shared a chicken biryani and a lamb jalfrezi, both so tender and full of flavour. Very attentive staff throughout our meal, even after it got busier, with additional drinks and checking in to make sure we were all happy. Will definitely come again, lovely authentic atmosphere, with great service and food 👍👍 Thank you

Atmosphere was great and staff was lovely. Unfortunately the Chicken Korma tasted like a ready meal version or something you would get out of an Uncle Ben's jar. Very disappointed

The food was absolutely authentic and full of rich, traditional flavors. Every dish was well-prepared, from the perfectly spiced curries to the freshly baked naan. The ambiance was warm, and the service was great. I suggest booking in advance as they get busy!

Brilliant service from Barun, we arrived and straight away we were taken care of by him. We ordered a couple of curries, one being Sultan’s Chicken Lababdar (which was amazing), I loved the food and the Peshwari Naan had no sultanas in… again a big plus. We also tried the Gulab jamun, which was an amazing, authentic taste of Indian dessert cuisine. The restaurant was quite full and I was told that if you don’t book in advance, it is hard to get a good table. Overall I gave this restaurant a 9.5/10. I don’t regularly enjoy Indian food as much as some other cuisines, however this restaurant has opened my eyes to the possibilities and it is somewhere I will be frequenting in the future.
