Honestly, I am shocked that no one has written a review of this place yet. Having been back from India a month ago, and on a visit to Liverpool for a conference, I was yearning for food from the subcontinent. I am a big fan of places that are hole-in-the-wall-esque, don’t charge you an arm and length for the ambience and importantly, deliver where it matters the most. Al Roomis did not disappoint at all. I reached here after a pleasant 20 minute walk from the city center and was surprised to find the place to be not crowded at all. There is one man who takes the order and serves the food. The inside is brightly lit and is clean. This is probably not a place where you would take the love of your life for a magical impression before you propose but rather where you would take a group of friends on a Friday night after a movie. I ordered Bhuna Ghost and Garlic Naan. Both were excellent- the meat was succulent and soft in a rich, flavourful gravy. The naan had the right fluff and was sizeable. The place has a relaxed feel to it. Kamran very kindly packed up the leftover before I left. The bathroom was clean. All in all, a fantastic Friday night dining experience. If I am back in Liverpool, I will be sure to come back.

The Karahi fish was delicious! And each of the sauces was distinctive and freshly prepared. I was also delighted by the attentive service!
