Rice wasn’t cook properly.Biryani didn't appeal to me.

I have ordered chicken fried rice and veg noodles instead of that I got chicken noodles and veg fried rice that’s fine I don’t know why this add crushed black pepper in both dishes he didn’t add veniger or souya soup ketchup to the noodles instead of using white pepper powder he used black pepper my tummy is burning like any thing

Today I had an experience. We called the restaurant before hand to enquire about “chatti biriyani”. And the staff responded that it’s available. So once we entered the restaurant we saw a decent table and decided to sit there (there were no reservation board) so we thought it was okay to sit there, cause sitting closer to the entrance is a bit chilly. Suddenly a beard bro I don’t know his name he came out and told us to not sit there by telling that’s it’s booked and later another staff told that it’s fine you can use that table and it’s fine. While we were about to dine the same beard bro said that you have to eat fast. First of all people have different metabolism you can not ask someone to eat fast and go. I personally don’t feel like that’s a good gesture or way to talk to the customer. Chatti biriyani was nice although the pineapple drink was not that good. This message is not to attack anyone personally, people will be hungry so when we go to a restaurant at least we expect some hospitality. I hope that person keep that in mind. We are paying for the food not begging for it.

Simply place an order for Hyderabad chicken biryani, chicken tikka rice bowl, and two papadums today. Unfortunately, we did not receive the papadums, the chicken tikka rice bowl was just okay, and the Hyderabad chicken biryani was the worst I've had. It wasn't even worth £3.00, but I was charged £10.99 just for the biryani. There was only a piece of chicken leg, not even thigh included. I'm questioning if chicken is exceptionally expensive in the UK. Please do not skimp on food quality. Despite paying more, your service should be of a higher standard.

Wow! I have to say that I am so jealous of you Liverpudlians, you have the best Indian restaurant in the whole of the UK. We visited from Hull over the weekend for the Grand National and managed to find this amazing restaurant. I have travelled the UK for nearly fifty years and have visited many Indian restaurants but Ikkayees restaurant is the best of them all. All staff are very friendly welcoming and the food was out of this world from the poppadoms and pickle tray to the main meal, everything was perfection. You can tell from the outset that these people are so passionate and care about everything they do for their customers. In the last 8-9 months I have ordered food from them uncountable number of times, south indian, North Indian, biriyani, indo chinese. I feel they have best biriyani in Liverpool and love their chicken cutlet so unique and flavourful/

Really nice place if you are looking for good Kerala cuisine! The best Malabari Biryani I could find in the UK so far. Kerala porotta is as good as it can be 🔥. Must try: Malabari Biryani, Porotta and fish curry, and Unnakkaaya 👌🏻

The taste is average and they are using too much colour in food

Food is too oily . And there is an aftr taste of the poor quality of oil or old oil . Cook may need to have the knowledge adding alot of oil wouldnt improve the taste of dish . Kerala dishes are packed with favours. But here it's spoilt . Even the chicken nor panner is not fresh or cooked well . Very bad .

A small and cosy Indian restaurant. Tried Shahi Lamb Biryani and Chicken Korma along with Peshawar bread. The chicken and bread were absolutely wonderful, but the lamb biryani and the served rices were not good. The portions were adequately sized and the service was good.

Food is good no doubt....but be aware with the pathetic service by very very rude staff, who was too desperate too ask for money while we were having food. He gave the reason that we were blocking the table, but its not at all fair while someone having and asking to pay in the middle. Real shame... How would even someone put a gross hand in to pay while eating food. Have some decency.... Never had such experience before.... Cold tea served when asked just microwaved and served again..... Yukkmk Have some hospitality ethics and respect towards customer. Very disappointing, ruined the time....

The crown jewel of their menu is undoubtedly the Fish Mango Curry – it's an absolute game-changer! Me and my friends went today dined at Ikkayees Indian Restaurant in Liverpool and had an exceptional experience! The food was outstanding - I ordered the Chicken Kottu, Chicken Gravy, and Mixed Grilled Starter, which were all delicious. The main course, Fried Rice, was cooked to perfection. the service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the who serve us, but she was fantastic Overall, I'm 90% happy with my experience at Ikkayees. The food, service, and atmosphere were all awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine in Liverpool. 4.5/5 stars

Great in every way Delicious and extremely kind staff

Briyani wasn’t good, and Nan wasn’t properly cooked

I just want to preface this review by sharing that our experience with the staff was absolutely lovely, despite being late with our order, the delivery man we had was very friendly and it's clear this business cares a great deal about their customers. This review is due to the food. We ordered a chicken korma with rice (part of the specials for £6), veg samosas, nan bread and butter chicken all in mild. When we eventually got the food it was mostly cold but nothing a quick warm up in the microwave couldn't solve. We're both big fans of Indian cuisine and have eaten at various restaurants and takeaways. However, when I dished up the korma, it was dry with no sauce which was unusual. I wanted to give the meal the benefit of the doubt so I tucked in only to be greeted with a gradually worsening burn in my mouth as I realised the korma was incredibly spicy and sadly did not taste anything like a korma. I only managed a few spoonfuls before I had to stop eating and the meal ended up going in the bin. I was incredibly upset as I had ordered a mild curry as I am completely intolerant to spicy food and ended up spending the rest of the evening and this morning terribly sore and unwell from the meal. The veg samosas and butter chicken were the same, extremely over spiced to the point it caused pain. Thankfully my partner likes spice and very much still enjoyed the butter chicken meal he ordered but I sadly went to bed feeling very sick and upset by this experience. This is a small business who deserves to do well. However, I do believe that if a meal is advertised as mild, it should not served full of overwhelming spices to unsuspecting customers (without warning) such as myself who already has a pre-existing stomach condition. If I had known the extent of the spiciness I would not have ordered from here. For that reason I can't recommend this place for the time being. Thank you for reading.

Very nice ambiance. Friendly staff. The dining area is neat and clean. Waiting time is tolerable. The food was yummy. We had appam and mango fish curry, and beef varutharachathu. You can book a table if you want. You can also get items not mentioned on the menu; don't be shy to ask. Parking may be a problem, depending on the time.

Good Indian taste. Good service. Staff friendly. Sugar in most of the dishes so better specify in advance. Overall not bad considering there are very few good Indian restaurants around

The porotta was good but the chicken and beef are the worst

Booked a valentine’s day dinner for my parents. Turns out the place had been fully booked by a party, they asked my parents to come back later but they were hungry so decided to leave it. They ran after my parents to tell them the party agreed for my parents to sit at a table near them. They had the best time ever, they LOVED the food and told me everyone was absolutely lovely to them. The family who had booked the whole place ended up leaving a big cake to my parents. From what they’re saying, it’s one of the best meal they’ve ever had and I cannot wait to go myself! Thank you for making my parents valentine’s day dinner so special!
