Ikkayees Restaurant is the best spot in Liverpool City for authentic South Indian Kerala-style cuisine. I dined in and enjoyed their porotta, beef pepper roast, and mutton karahi—each dish was outstanding. I also tried their kingfish mango curry via home delivery, and it was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Highly recommended!

I visited Ikkayees for a dine-in meal and had a great time. The food was fresh and tasty, and the portions were just right. The staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. The restaurant is clean and cozy, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Ikkayees if you are looking for a good place to eat.

I had high expectations for Ikkayees, but unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The service was noticeably slow, with long waits even for basic dishes. When the food finally arrived, the portions were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. For the price, the quantity and overall experience did not feel worth it. While the flavors were decent, the lack of value for money and delays in service make it hard to recommend.

Have ordered Paal kappa with beef roast, Quantity is less compared to the price.

Must try items fish mango curry prawns mango curry Bhagyasree (the lady who served us) was really good at her job. The must try dishes were suggested by her and it was mind blowing

I purely went to this place because of reviews but i am soo disappointed. The customer service is appalling from 4.8 rated place. I don’t want to blame the waiter because she was alone the whole time. The food is the talking point. Every curry tastes the same. Everything was very average food.

Came with a lot of expectations. Disappointed with the food. Everything was sweet. Told to make the food spicy but they made it sweet and mild. The portion were generous which doesn’t matter when the quality is not that great. I won’t mind paying for less portions with higher quality. I don’t think I’ll be back again.

I moved here as an international student whenever am missing my home food I order from here ,I order quite often actually the food is really tasty with reasonable price. I love the Biriyani they have a variety of South Indian and Kerala dishes .. Will keep ordering in the future as well 💗

Went in hungry, came out… still kinda hungry. Ordered Ghee Rice with Beef Pepper, Chatti Biriyani, and Kothu Porotta. Taste-wise, it was like a solid 7/10—a bit like a movie that’s good but you wouldn’t rewatch. Overall, it felt like a warm-up act for the real meal I had to plan after. Decent taste, but unless you’re a fan of portion-controlled heartbreak, you might want to try somewhere else for that price. 🍛😂

Today I arrived at this restaurant 2:09pm and left the restaurant at 15:17pm, I waited for more than 45 minutes for food to be served. Waited starving, and finally when curry arrived, it was salty and lukewarm. Why seving a lukewarm curry it taken 45 minutes no idea. Waiter is doing service with a smile but that did not help to ease the disappointments happend in other aspects.

Authentic Kerala food. Reminded us of back home, Appam with mango fish curry was my personal favourite and highly recommend to try this combo. They have maintained spice level authentically. We also tried chicken dum biryani - rice well cooked and good flavours. Paal kappa and beef was a good combo option and bursting with flavours. The only drawback was only one staff member was present to take orders and serve as well, so there were lots of delays in getting each dish, would recommend maybe keep two staff and being a weekend restaurant was busy.

The food here is so delicious. The spices were singing, the chicken in my biryani was melt-in-your-mouth tender. But here's the thing- the service? Oof. It was like they were trying to set a record for the slowest service in Liverpool. Our server seemed to be in another dimension, and getting their attention was like trying to flag down a unicorn. We waited ages for our food. Hope the guys fix it!

The restaurants was clean and lovely. The Chicken kondattam was to die for, it was so yummy. Absolutely loved it. Also, loved the khozikoden chicken dum biryani. It was too good. The chicken tikka biryani is also good. I really loved the food and flavours, authentic Indian style. Spice level they have maintained is the Indian spice level. Loved the food!

Great place to have authentic Kerala food. We tried paal kappa beef and chatty biriyani which came with kozhikodan dum biriyani, chicken 65, beef roast and chutney. As someone who is from Kerala I must say this place didn't compromise in keeping the authenticity of kerala food as-well as the quality. Highly recommended!!

It's a fairly small restaurant but it has a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food is good but I think they can still do better. I am very satisfied with what they offered me.

The most authentic kerala food experience in Liverpool !!

Some items in the menu weren’t available which was disappointing and once we ordered what was available the food took too long. The beef with the banana was lovely everything else was just mediocre. My wife is allergic to prawns and the biryani had two prawns in it. As it was fried it was very difficult to tell. Once I mentioned this to the waiter he took that item off the bill, this was a bit too late, as by this time my wife stopped eating. To be honest there are better tasting Indian restaurants in Liverpool.

I visited this restaurant on New Year’s Eve and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the experience. I have dined here before and had a positive experience, but this visit did not meet expectations. Firstly, there seemed to be a reservation policy, which I was unaware of. This made the experience less enjoyable. Additionally, the staff did not seem welcoming or attentive, especially the manager, which added to the dissatisfaction. Food and service should always be provided with enthusiasm, especially on a festive occasion like New Year’s Eve. It’s disappointing to say that this visit did not reflect the quality and standards I previously appreciated at this restaurant. Sadly, I don’t see myself returning in the future.

If you are looking for a great Indian restaurant near the city centre, this will be your best bet. Very kind and friendly service with great food. I strongly recommend the South Indian dishes. ❤️

Delicious food served by beautiful people 😋. We had the fish and mango curry which was soooooooo good. The dal makhani and mushroom rice were excellent too. Our server recommended appam bread with it too, which was off-menu but a perfect accompaniment.

I will not come back here again . I waited about 1 hour for two chicken biryani.this happened three times even though I informed them my 4 year child is so hungry.... The service lady told me 15 minutes for the service but got the food after 1 hour 15 minutes.... I recommend if you are hungry do not choose this place .if are ready to wait more than 45 minutes for a single biryani you can choose the place . Their priority is for online customers indine customers are fools . I was a regular customer here but this happened to me three times . The quality of the food becoming more worsen day by day .

Sitting here for 1 hour in the morning to eat breakfast. Whatever mentioned in menu is not available . We just ordered 2 things and its almost noon. We have called and they didnt mention anything. Too much trouble when u have to pay for parking as well.

We have been traveling to the UK for more than 3 decades and whenever we can we eat Indian food in the places we visit. Today the big surprise. I have not eaten better in any Indian restaurant in UK than here. Quality 10, authentic flavors, impeccable service. They have a team and a story behind them that you have to know. Today has been a great happy day for us for eating at this restaurant. We will return very soon without a doubt.
