Very tiny space , We just came all the way from Manchester and the staff over there just said that there’s no space so we need to go without any respect. He didn’t even say us to wait. I saw many Famous restaurant with long queues waiting even though they will not send back their customers like this. Very much disappointed and embarrassed

Loved malabar biriyani, lime soda and nannari sarbath. The serive by bhagyasree was awsome, had a lovely experience.

I like to get takeaways from here occassionally since it's literally across the road from my student accomodation. The food is great and the staff are very polite! There are plenmty of options too and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this great place if you love Indian food!

I had high expectations for Ikkayees, but unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The service was noticeably slow, with long waits even for basic dishes. When the food finally arrived, the portions were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. For the price, the quantity and overall experience did not feel worth it. While the flavors were decent, the lack of value for money and delays in service make it hard to recommend.

FOOD - Mixed grill starter was a far cry from an in-house prepared, and marinated offering. Likely wholesaler frozen produce. As for the main courses (beef & chicken curries), and speaking as an Indian, were far too rich and spicy. If you want an upset stomach tomorrow, then be their guest. SERVICE - The service was a mix bag. Swiftly seated (5mins) and order taken in a further 5 mins. However, we had to ask repeatedly for water, drinks etc. The place seems to be manned solely a man in a cap, who is spread thin, responding to online orders, tending seating requests, taking table orders, bringing the food etc. ATMOSPHERE - A small place hosting 10-12 tables which naturally means high noise levels. This isn’t helped by several people queuing in the middle section, often behind your chair as well as random males gathering around the front desk playing on their phones (assuming they are the workers).

I had Chicken Varutharacha Curry and it was fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant and this curry

After living in Liverpool for nearly a decade, I visited this restaurant for the first time, invited by a friend for dinner. It turned out to be the perfect Asian-style dining experience. The table was a feast for the senses, laden with a variety of biryanis, kottu roti, and paratha roti. Each dish showcased a vibrant mix of colors, aromas, and the rich flavors of authentic Asian spices. The meal, shared with five adults and three children, was made even more enjoyable by the attentive and welcoming staff, who ensured a delightful evening for everyone.

I don’t know how this place got so many great reviews. Mediocre food, doesn’t taste anything like the original stuff. They try to push the fish mango curry (thanks to Chef Pillai’s Nirvana and Fish Mango curry from Paragon) and Appam. Appam is dry like cardboard. Ordered the Beef roast, it had disintegrated like a pulled beef. Try the biryani and parotta. I think they’re decent. Good service and ambience.

Atmosphere affected by constant tempo for deliveroo drivers getting stressed about delivery schedule and hanging about affecting he overall ambidnce for the restaurant environment combined with the cash and carry run bring delivered during the restaurant service made for a less great experience. Overall would reccomend.

Very bad experience. I asked for beef biriyani and they say they don’t have it and I ordered a chicken biriyani for takeaway away. They made me to wait for 40 min and said that biriyani is burned. And the only reason they say is they had celebrity to the restaurant and was busy in looking after them. They don’t care about other customers.

Food taste is pretty good. And the manager /owner (not sure) is very approachable. They recommended great dishes and everything was delicious. The food service is pretty slow but everything is made fresh.

The menu is fantastic, offering a wide variety of dishes that go beyond the usual Indian restaurant fare, showcasing regional specialties and unique flavors. We started with the salt and pepper prawns, chutney tray and chicken tikka, which were juicy, perfectly spiced, and had that wonderful chargrilled flavor. For mains, we tried the prawn and Mango curry and the butter chicken, both of which were exceptional. The naan was fresh, soft, and the perfect complement to our dishes. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail in each dish. You can tell that the chefs at IKKAYEES are passionate about their craft and take pride in using high-quality ingredients. Overall, IKKAYEES is hands-down one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had in Liverpool. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. They were attentive and friendly( Alphy was amazing)which made our meal even more enjoyable. It’s clear that a lot of care and passion goes into everything at Ikkayees. We left with happy hearts and full stomachs, and we’ll definitely be back soon! Lovely, tasty, affordable food which filled us up and we had some leftover to take home! We paid £25 for drinks, a paneer and chicken main, two rice and a naan. Looking forward to coming back and will definitely recommend to friends :)
