Mezban Indian Restaurant in Liverpool

Our first time six of us we all enjoyed the service and the food was nice the staff were pleasant I would recommend this restaurant and wood certainly go back enjoyed the evening

Question for the owners. Has the chef changed? Food was completely different to normal. Nice meat, but bonkers sauce. Still nice but not what I'm used to.

Food is really nice. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is chilled and cosy. If you love Indian food then you'll love this place.

We went here for the first time today and can't recommend it highly enough. The food, service and restaurant was absolutely fabulous. We will definitely return. Thank you.

As an Indian I was utterly disappointed. The chicken tikka was practically boiled chicken with red food dye. No flavour whatsoever

Beautiful curries. Tender meat with sensational sauces. Everything we ordered was top quality and the spicy chips made everything next level tasty. It's now my go to Curry house.

Food is amazing Hate that they have the large bottles of fizzy drinks that they pour into glasses that they charge more per glass than they paid for the entire bottle

Had a fantastic experience here earlier today! Food is great and fairly priced, service is quick and efficient, we were 15 mins early however the restaurant was ready for us. Hosts and waiters happy to help and answer questions and the food was superb from starters to mains! Highly recommend the butter chicken.

Been here twice now and not had a single issue! Not sure of the servers name but he was always so friendly and happy to get our order out so quick! Would 100% recommend. Food is so tasty😁

Not good!! missing in mixed kebab.ordered a mixed bhuna special container less than half full, rice was smaller than normal containers, food cold we live very close feel it was a waste of £56 still hungry after the meal

Everything was perfect some dishes are spicy but still delicious. The servers are amazing and catre to everything you need.This is the second time we have been and most certainly returning the service, food and atmosphere are all perfect. Chicken chat, reheated tikka masala sauce watery and chips cold. Chicken pakora was not crispy coat and was like wet flour on chicken. 44.85 price the only nice part was nan bread and popodum,.!

It's a small restaurant but that just makes it feel homely and nice. The waiting staff were perfect. I never give top marks for food because it can always get better and it's very subjective anyway.

Every dish I’ve had is top quality, and all of the staff look after you, and make sure you have everything you need. Maz and his team are always attentive and make sure you are well looked after.

One of the worst curry I ever had at this place. I ordered tandoori king pawn curry, they served normal curry and the taste was awful. As a British Asian I have curry almost every day but nothing like curry from this place. I asked for a VAT receipt the owner failed to provide one as they're not vat registered. A MUST AVOID PLACE!!!

If you enjoy Bangladeshi food this is the place for you. The food is amazing, the staff are so friendly so polite and helpful. For anyone who isn’t quite sure the staff will walk through the menu to define your taste. The prices are very reasonable and the drinks are at regular pub prices. It’s a must try place if you enjoy Asian food. Parking is available on the roadside.

Went very late, so couldn't spend as long as we wanted to do the food more than made up for that. Its absolutely delicious! I like it spicy, so I had the chicken sondia, and it was amazing. My friends and families food was also excellent.

Ordered chicken butter dish and lamp korma literally meat was just 4 pieces and not even fresh. And sause(gravy) was just so sweet with no flavour. Its bland taste. Keema naan had no keema just flavour keema. Waste of money.. so much better indian restaurant if u want real Indian food who gave them 4 star here and fooled me to visit the... wasted 30 pounds for chicken butter (4pc of chicken cubes), lamp korma (4pc pf lamp cubes) , 2 naan (thin bread slices 2 cut into 4 pc) a coke, and apple juice. £30. Waste of money . I wish i coukd give the. Negative They didnt even respond to you much bad service. Asked menu again as it was nit filling and he didn't even showed up.

Excellent service from start to finish. The food is always piping hot when it’s served and packed with flavour. It’s a relatively small restaurant, so remember to book in advance! Well worth a try!!

Went to this superb Indian restaurant with the family to celebrate our son's 22nd birthday. Excellent food and service as normal. We have been going to this local restaurant for many years now and will continue to do so as the quality of food is so high. So is is the attentive service provided by all the staff. At a very reasonable price too. Simply the best and thank you to all the staff.

went for husband's 60th on 17th Feb, used to come here years ago when it was the Zeera, but not been (covid etc) lately, didnt have a reservation but we were there about 5.20, they said they are booked up from 7pm but no problem seating the 3 of us, we had the chcken chat to start, portion size enormous, shared this, was sublime!! then shared Chicken Shashlik which came on a sizzing skillet and 2 sauces, mushroom and coconut rice, well I can honestly say I have never had such amazing food!! The rice was full of flavour, my son chose from the veggie menu, it was amazing!! Staff just lovely and attentive, and when they found out it was my husband's birthday we got a special treat, fully recommend and we will be going back on a regular basis, oh and prices very reasonable as well.

Oddly placed little restaurant but its humble location belies the excellence of the food and the service. I visited just recently with friends from our local Micro-Pub on a pre-Christmas celebration and I was not at all disappointed. The food was really good and the welcome from the staff was impressive. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant

We were in the area for new years eve as we had travelled up from Leicester so booked in to this restaurant ,it was Fabulous , staff very friendly and helpful. Food amazing and I mean Amazing we have visited many Indian restaurants and Leicester has what is known as the golden mile which is full of restaurants this restaurant is up there with the best . If I lived locally it would be my regular. A wide variety of choice and very reasonably priced . If in the area its a must visit .

I visited Liverpool for work and found Mezban nearby with good reviews, and I have to say all the good reviews are right. This is the best Indian Takeaway I tried, the curry is really tasting authentic, and lamb is soft and tender, not like many other places. This is a great place, and every time I am nearby Mezban my first choice for food!

Good atmosphere, service very attentive, food very nice, reasonably priced, advise to call and book, very popular for both done in and take away.

Food was fair. (Some funny business going on here with TA stars. Vote stuffing maybe). Food was OK. Not 5 stars, not 4 stars, on a good day they might have got 3 stars. Overall very disappointed.

Took the opportunity to sit in. HAd lamb chop starter and was amazed by how good it was. So tender. Nan bread is light thin and fluffy. Main course, again I had lamb Jalfrazi was awesome. Trust me I have lived in the east end of london and had access to great indian food. this place is the best I have found in Liverpool

Absolutely unreal food, been coming to this restaurant for years and it continues to be and will always be the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I’ve said it once, and will say it again, this place is the ultimate hidden gem, and the staff are the friendliest and loveliest people going.

Last minute decision to order a takeaway curry landed us at one of our nearest curry houses, Mezban on Derby Lane. We haven't been here since pre-pandemic and were't sure what to expect. We have to say the chicken chilli chat starter and onion bajis were delicious! Our mains were lamb dhansak and lamb madras with pilau rice and plain nan. I have to say the sauces for our mains was a bit thinner than what we normally would expect, but the flavour was excellent! The lamb was cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. We will definitely make another visit and would recommend it to others. Thank you for a delicious dinner!

My husband and I enjoyed a very tasty takeaway from Mezban on Derby Lane. The food was fresh and delicious! We can recommend the lamb dhansak and lamb madras. The lamb just melted in your mouth and the curry sauce, though a bit on the thin side, was full of flavour.

I have never had a nicer meal than I have from this restaurant. Every single dish was amazing. The staff are so friendly and the service was 10/10. The Honey chicken is just wow!!! In fact everything was. I really cannot wait to go back...

Called in for a takeaway Sunday night. Really fancied a little treat. Opened everything in the kitchen and my young son took a piece of seekh kebab and said I'm not keen on that so I tried a piece and immediately spat it out. It was rancid and on closer inspection could see the meat had actually turned in colour. Had clearly been off at least a couple of days. I'm just hoping my son doesn't end up ill today as he swallowed a big bite. I definitely will not be returning.
