The best restaurants serving Indian food in Westgate Newcastle upon Tyne North East

This restaurant was absolutely fabulous! Service was impeccable and didn’t have to wait long for each course. One of our party was a coeliac and the staff were amazing at helping us and had great knowledge. There was a wide range of options for this allergy as well. Such a lovely atmosphere, I can’t wait to go again!

BEST TAKEAWAY IN NEWCASTLE!! Have ordered from here many times now and it's been great every time. I've also ordered with friends/family who have all loved it too, vegans and non-vegans alike. As a vegan, there is nothing quite like a fully plant based menu and the peace of mind that brings when ordering, and I'm not aware of anywhere else with so many options. I would highly recommend the onion bhajis, garlic or peshwari naan, and the spinach paratha. There are so many curries to choose from, but some of my favourites include the seitan madras, jalfrezi, chana masala and aloo gobi. They also sell vegan pizzas and chips etc, so there's little reason to order from anywhere else - always better to support an independent family-run business. Very good value for money also. The staff are lovely and easy to get in contact with (via text etc) when needed. I would say delivery takes an hour on average - a perfectly reasonable amount of time, especially considering I'm a bit further out (North Kenton), and I think the owner delivers herself. So as long as you order with 1-2h in mind, you can't be disappointed! 🙂 I would love to come in-person if they re-open the restaurant one day.

Lovely restaurant. We went for a bottomless brunch and it was fabulous. Staff were attentive and drinks were pouring. Food as always was fabulous. My friends hadn't been before but were very impressed.

Ordered my usual chicken tikka masala and garlic nan, food was unreal! Mr Ali was very lovely when I came to pick up my food. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area or fancy an Indian takeout. ☺️

Sin duda, este es sin duda el mejor restaurante indio en el noreste. Nos encanta la comida india y hemos probado tantos restaurantes indios en toda Inglaterra. ¡Yo digo que esto está en el top 3! La comida es increíblemente sabrosa y el personal es muy amable. El ambiente es muy bueno también.

Absolutely DISGUSTING! The food quality is a disgrace! I ordered last night, initially the driver failed to find my address and then when I called again they told me that it is my problem and that I need to come and collect it. Upon arriving to collect it, I had to pay an extra fee for the "driver's fuel being wasted". I just did it as I was THREATENED by the staff! Upon receiving my food, it was cold and they refused to HEAT IT UP! Pathetic service, the food was cold, hard and tasted like someone took a PISS in it. I also found a dead cockroach. Business has been reported to Trading Standards and Newcastle Council Food Safety Team. I also saw a pair of rats running behind the takeaway next to the Metro Station out of the bins!! DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE POISONED!!!!!

I never ever go out my way to review places but Me and my boyfriend stumbled on this place by accident and it was the most beautiful Indian I’ve been to I believe. The staff were so attentive it was so wholesome. The food was absolutely beautiful. We had a chicken masala and me and my boyfriend were genuinely shocked how tasty this was, we were also shocked there was only us in there so im writing this review to let people know they will not be disappointed if they try this place out. Affordable too but once again, absolutely amazing and delicious place will go again for sure. Btw I’m fussy too so this means a lot

Terrible food i'm afraid, as well as not the cleanest of places, staff are a little rude at times and nearly always give you the wrong order, so frustrating, i've giving them many chances and this was my last ever visit to this place

Si te gusta un curry caliente echa un vistazo a este lugar. Tuve una madras y está allí con lo mejor hasta ahora. Servicio animado por el gerente que hizo todo lo posible por servirnos. Yo, Mam y yo volveríamos; el keema naan es para morirse.

What a meal. The food was the best we have ever had. Service absolutely brilliant attentive but not on top of you. I was a special meal for my wife graduation. To end the night a really appreciated drink on the house for her achievement. Simply a special night. Thank you. Ps we had the set meal for 2 around the world beautiful
