Terrible food i'm afraid, as well as not the cleanest of places, staff are a little rude at times and nearly always give you the wrong order, so frustrating, i've giving them many chances and this was my last ever visit to this place

Ordered the Shalimar buffet tonight with the husband very good. Excellent value. Would completely recommend

Tuve la desgracia de pedir comida de aquí. Buffet para 2 comidas especiales. No tenía nada de especial. Vindaloo era insípido y no picante y el curry de Cachemira de mi esposa era prácticamente salsa de vino blanco Homepride. El hecho de que los poppadoms fueran lo más destacado lo dice todo. La comida llegó con 45 minutos de retraso solo para mejorar la experiencia culinaria. Gracias Shalimar, me has recordado cocinar en casa en el futuro.

Siempre usamos esta comida para llevar para nuestro buffet favorito para dos, su gran valor y siempre sabroso. No puedo encontrar otra comida para llevar que ofrece tan buena relación calidad-precio.

conseguí un pollo Tikka Madras de allí la salsa estaba realmente caliente pero no tenía profundidad de sabor y masticar el pollo era como masticar cuero viejo repugnante

The curry was nice but wasn't as spicy as I was expecting. The onion pilau was lovely and was more than enough meat.

I have had pizzas from here for a long time the indian pizzas are really nice but when I ask for extra garlic they normally put minced garlic on not this time they put a whole bunch of uncooked garlic on which made it inedible I think they must have changed chefs also the price on there menu was £6.50 when it arrived they said it was £10.50 £4 for delivery I don't think so wont be ordering from there again.

If you want a rank, cold OLD kebab and manky reheated chips delivered in double quick time order from here. If you want to actually be able to eat said kebab order from a different take away. This meal went in the bin.

Could u please tell me why u don’t do masala with the banquet for 2 please ?

Great! Curries were a tad sweet for me personally but that tends to be the same throughout Newcastle. Would definitely order again though!

I ordered and paid for 8 items, you delivered only 7. not good enough, I will never reorder from you again. you don’t even supply your phone number until delivery has been accepted on the site. by then the driver had driven away fast too. easy way to make money charge fir an item and never deliver it. chicken was very dry, others are more moist. bad all round.

Quite dissapointed with this order and the previous one i made from here. It is one if my favourite takeaways but the standards have slipped now because the the donner kebab is not the same. It is different kebab and not the same quality, not as nice as what they had before, this donner just wasnt nice, tasted like its made from all the cheap off cuts of meat. And the portion size of the donner kebab was very small. Also the pizzas dont taste as nice anymore. Bland chunks of chicken and there was not that much of the toppings. Hardly any mince when its supose to be a shalimar meat feast. Bit dissapointed as this was one of my favourite takeaways. Didnt leave a review last time but same again this time so i had to say what i thought.

Food tasted nice but arrived later than set by the restaurant and was cold. Free poppadoms were appreciated. Staff were nice on the phone when called about delivery time.

not impressed at all. food was late, onion Bhajis were soggy- never had a soggy one in my life! , nan was cold, poppadoms were chewy!! the chicken in the curry was very chewy spicy chips were really nice. most of it went in the bin. £20 down the drain.

Service and delivery were bob on but both me and my girlfriend have woke with d&v, food tasted good though.

Still 5* but only disappointment was the chips were warm and seemed like they had been with the delivery driver a while as the bag was soggy have no doubt they are cooked fresh, still good food but would have enjoyed the chips more if they were hot, chicken tikka kebab was lush!!

5* couldn't fault the food at all, the restaurant added 10 mins to the delivery time but it was here early!! Delivery driver couldn't find my house but rang and was polite on the phone!! Always a bonus when you have nice delivery driver.

order spicy lamb biryani, and they take their spice serious. Good tasting biryani, also order keema matar, very disappointing. dint smell good and was too oil. felt like it was a waste of money. so its 50/50 on taste

Always order from here last nights pizza was undercooked

I realy like this place. The customer service is fantastic, they always try hard to keep customers happy and always polite and friendly on the phone too. Food is great and a good standard. It has to be one of my favourites, Excellent and will definitly order again as i have never had any problems with my orders from here and always happy with the delicious food.

have ordered from here plenty of times however our order today was not good at all. had ordered a LARGE kebab and that was not even a medium. kebab gone in 4 mouthfuls and only a handful of chips to go alongside it. thought this was a reliable takeaway but the portion size was terrible

Hey, today i ordered a chicken tikka kebab. although the food was absolutely lovely the portion size was to be desired. Ordered a mixed kebab the other day and had it for the first time and it was beautiful. Today i thought i would treat myself to a purely chicken tikka kebab this time and got no more than i would have in a mixed kebab which was abit of a let down but one thing did make up for it and thats how it tastes, Its gorgeous. So basically lush food but portion could have been better.

would of gave 5 stars but the curry had conjiled on the chips like cement not like a curry sauce at all :(

Got kebab which was spicy unlike the last time I ordered which resulted in my son goin hungry as he wouldn't eat it, everything else was lovely

Really disappointed , I ordered a kebab amongst other things and the kebab was probably the worst kebab I’ve ever purchased in my entire life- it’s was swimming in oil and grease. I’ve had Curry’s and pizzas from here numerous times and it’s been brilliant- both taste wise and value for money. I hope this was a one off and I will use again for Curry’s and pizza but please sort your kebabs out.

First time ordering from here food came 30 minutes early and was lush and hot. can't wait too order again best takeaway in a while and definitely the best donner and chicken tikka nan wrap

obviously due to the bad weather conditions I knew I was in for a wait. I placed my order after a long day at work. 20 mins were added on 9 pm came and no takeaway so I waited and rang at 9:50 told I was next and the person on the phone apologised but I understood I was just ringing to see if they were actually open. 10:30 my takeaway arrived. Food was nice but I m just so sad you didn’t give me the can of Fanta I ordered :( lol

we understand with the weather conditions that the food would b a little late, however we ordered the food 2.5 hours before it delivered. we don’t live that far away.

ordered at 8pm expected time was 21:35 which was fair enough due to weather conditions, finally turned up at 10:05, food was luke warm, wrong desserts sent! no discount or anything offered as an apology. wont be ordering from here again in a hurry

Ordered a pizza with no cheese on as my partner can't eat cheese at all pizza turned up with cheese o. When rang back up they firstly told me they couldn't do no cheese then said they could this was at 11:15 it is now 12 and no new pizza has arrived also gyot a chicken wrap which was cold when it arrived we used to only order from this place don't know what happened but it has went so far downhill won't be ordering again

Very nice. Before this I’ve struggled to find a nice curry takeaway in Newcastle but now I know where I will be eating my curries from now on. Thoroughly enjoyed, would recommend. The chicken is a balti is a must for new customers.

Food was great and it came in good time, but they forgot the poppadoms, which in my opinion are vital for a good curry.

Always order from here, best Indian I’ve ever had. Cannot fault it at all, food is always exceptional.

Dissapointing . Chicken tikka was rubbery. The lamb was very fatty and the madras had no spice to it at all may aswell of been a korma . Shame because everything is usually spot on

got charged extra as i wanted garlic on my cheese naan bread, and it had absolutely no cheese on. got 4 pieces (small) of chicken in my masala and the saag aloo tasted like wet dog. so disappointed

Food was lovely. Kebab is beautiful you can tell its made to a recipie. Had a chicken tikka masala pizza and the sauce was lovely. Highly reccomend. Will continue with reviews on future orders out of respect for the resteraunt and its quality of food. Will most likely make this my regular.

Quality of the food is good, however portion sizes were very, very small & we were missing a naan bread from our order.

Me and my friend really enjoyed our takeaway. The delivery driver was earlier than expected and was very friendly and courteous. The price for what we got was outstanding compared to other places I have tried. My friend was very impressed with his kashmiri and extras. I had balti which I enjoyed but I would have preferred more of a variety of vegetables. The sizes were plentiful, overall would highly recommend 👍

First said 22:50, then 22:50 and finally 23:00. Arrived at 24:15 rang restaurant beforehand and they weren’t sure about the actual order being placed. Heard Just left in background. Shocking service

I had been charged for garlic sauces when I did not order extra I left a note saying make sure the kebab has them both on it. The kebab was drier than a sun-dried tomatoes and had more wrinkles than Gordan Ramsay's forehead

Not really impressed not as good as usual sure its a different chef won't stop me ordering again though. Would recommend delivery drivers store food in heat bags as it was luke warm.

My mum loved the Buhna, best she ever tried. Not ate my pizza yet! But looks good only thing it's thick base so wish I had asked for thin! But that's not the shops fault. The food was very very poor, came at room temperature and there was a hole in the container causing it to leak. All in all a very poor meal and I was great disappointment.

The food was decent, Mumbai curry was nice and spicy, but the chips were awful. Price is reasonable and so too was the collection time. Would order again but steer away from the chips.

Yes. Get it from here. Perfect, hot, delicious. And the bloke who delivered had a smile too which is just canny isn’t it!!!!
