Terrible.......Ordered starter of Tandoori prawns. 4 pieces all tasting like tandoori rubber.Main watery rice dishes tasted like old rice. Never again

Been customers for years.....food always been great,.....until latest takeaway........tandoori prawn starter was badly off, the smell told me not to eat it, it wasn't just borderline off,..it had crossed the border some time ago......also the price seemed to have doubled Since last order. Shame, as we've always gave positive reviews........

Food came it was missing two items which I rang and complained about to be told they were busy!! I said I’ve paid for my items and can’t eat my meal until the items come. Almost 45mins before other items were delivered the food was of poor quality tonight very greasy and bland garlic nan had no garlic! Will not be ordering again from here!

Spoke to call handler who was very polite explained that owner/management was on holiday..love this takeaway but my concern is how ?? my mains and rice were piping hot but starters were cold .? Constructive criticism oil needs changed desperately pompadoms no thanks and I love them but they had to go and the naan bread the same ..I will be back 💯 just when it's back to 💯

Didn't receive our keema naan breads and the poppadoms were like cardboard but everything was fine.

I was looking for a quick Indian cuisine fix - passing by this spot plenty of times, I decided to give it a go. Prices were reasonable (menu in the pictures). The meal was pleasant. I ordered a vegetable Briyani, with a Garlic Mushroom Curry. While it was a quick fix, the focus really is on takeaways. I believe It wouldn’t be fair to compare this to full fledged dine-in restaurants like Chakh Dhoom or Khan’s. Therefore, in terms of takeaways, it was a palatable experience. What I didn’t enjoy were the papadoms. I don’t know if it’s because I’m spoiled by the papadoms I’ve had in Khan’s (I’ve never had better in my life. In Khan’s, the papadoms are fried, then oven-baked, giving it a beautiful charred taste, and with their chutneys, it’s heaven). The papadoms were not as crispy (maybe left to air for a long period of time), and tasted like ?old oil? I couldn’t finish the papadoms. Would I come back again? Yes I would, for a quick Indian cuisine fix - but I’ll be sure not to order the papadoms 😅

Asked for onion bhajis, they were the size of a 50p peice !

Food was amazing as always however, delivery driver forgot our drink that we paid £3.80 for. Called back and they redelivered. We also had to put the food onto plates because the driver obviously dropped the bag or was driving like he was on a race track. Everything had leaked out the cartons and the pops Doms were in tiny bits. Can’t complain about the food though. Let down by the delivery.

We ordered from here because as a massive spice fiend, I wanted to try naga chilli on a pizza. So I ordered naga chilli as well as fresh chillies. Sadly the pizza had zero spice. I couldn’t see nor taste any chilli. If I’d ordered a chicken and onion pizza I’d have been happy with it, it was a tasty pizza. Just not what I wanted. The naan bab was delicious and absolutely huge.

Hadn’t been to bengal for a long time until the other night now I know why absolutely terrible , the food arrived with the brown paper bag basically falling apart the curries had just seaped through everything the menu they put it the bag was so wet it was just soaking wet it had been in the drivers car so long, the food was terrible no taste don’t waste your money

Ordered chicken tikka wrap, and chicken tikka kebab the chicken was chewy and had very little filling.

Delivery was fine , food was nice but the chips were horrible and many not cooked properly

this place used to be good but has sadly gone down hill .Very poor customer service and wrong orders ,things missing and poor communication. Dont you know what a plain donner kebab is ? 4 times now i have had the wrong thing ...useless!

Sag gohst and Pathia. Both very tasty curries, full of flavour and good heat to the Pathia. Would recommend!

Absolutely disgusting waited 75 mins food came burned pakoras and I mean burned rice cold chips were just little ends n curry disgusting, used these for years have these had new owners because this meal was horrendous needless to say bin 🗑️

Usually get my pizzas from here all the time as they are usually amazing and cooked perfectly and usually always fresh. It must only be when the manager is in cause that's the only time we've had no problems. Today however we waited over an hour and a half for 2 pizzas, only live 5 minutes up the road so it's not like we live far. The cheese had solidified to the point where it was ripping my slices in half when trying to pull the slice away. Overcooked and obviously left sitting for a while. Literally tasted like cheese on toast. £20 down the drain and when we rang up to ask where our pizzas were, there was no apology or anything, just 'it'll be there soon'. Shocking service for a loyal customer, I'm afraid I will be giving this a miss from now on.

Disappointed food and delivery are usually great, food was average and over 45 minutes late. Shop refused any refund for late delivery.

Always use this takeaway and never usually have any complaints but tonight the chips I ordered with my meal were absolutely terrible,they were either old chips or had not been cooked enough,whole packet went in the bin,sort your chips out Bengal Curry Centre.

I always go there for Thursday and Sunday deals I had curry few days ago was so nice and fresh

I did not receive one of my starters which was disappointing

We got the set meal for 2 and they allowed me to change the Massalla to a madras. Every item was gorgeous but I was slightly disappointed that the chicken chaat was red in colour and sweet. A lot of people like it that way and all takeaway/restaurants do it differently. I should've asked beforehand. Still edible, I'm just not a fan of sweet Indian food. The staff were lovely and I will return!! The madras and aloo gobi were my twins favorite dishes. See you soon guys, just a shame I live in the outer West of Newcastle.

Was nearly 2 hours late, part of the order was missing and took another 20 minutes to get that

The pompadoms were soggy the onion bhaji solid and half of a starter missing. Will not order from there again.

Restaurant unfortunately gave me a mixed meat masala, rather than a mixed vegetable one (I’m vegetarian). But once they were made aware of the mistake they very quickly sent the correct curry. The curries (masala and vindaloo), pilau (garlic and mushroom), chips and garlic naan were delicious though! Sone of the best I’ve ever tried. Will definitely order from here again! Would love to see some saag dishes in the starters!

Lovely polite staff. Food not great and lacking flavour, but the real problem is that we were overcharged on both orders from the stated prices both on printed menus online. Will not be returning.

Been buying from this place thru work for years . Giving them great orders on a regular basis . Sadly the customer service quality of food and prices have shot up . Average curries and sloppy pizzas along with wrong orders price increases and late deliveries . No more from me !

Usually the food from here is great, however, on this occasion it was cold and the onion barjis were rock hard, which is quite disappointing considering we’ve used these for a number of years without any prior issues.

Tasty food, good portions and a very good Sunday deal! Food arrived earlier and was hot and well packaged.

Next time when I pay for onion bhaji I would like to receive them

Our go to Indian takeaway. Food is very tasty, always gets to us piping hot and correct order with no missing items. The meal for one deal and the Thursday/Sunday deal are such good value, and quality doesn't drop despite the offer. Honestly can't fault the place, thanks guys!

I absolutely love Bengal. The food is always fresh and of a very high standard. My favourite Indians in Tyneside. However, whoever packed my order let you down tonight. Bombay potatoes put on their side so the oil dripped out all over the place and poppadoms rather than being tied to the side of the bag as normal in whole pieces were deliberateltly smashed up and squashed in a bag with the rest of the order so they were in tiny pieces. Food was still fresh and tasted great but not quite the standard I expect and love from Bengal this time round.

The meal I got last was terrible tasted funny only ate a small amount but I’ve spent most of the night unwell and this meal can b the only reason will not b ordering again

Pretty sure the bloke on the phone was on work experience as he took about 5 minutes just to say sorry and then hang up. I didn’t know it was possible to kill a Nan bread but they did it.

First things first .. 1⭐ review is as generous as a Nora batty noshing you off on the big market I Ordered a munch box and the meal for 2 for £15 deal.. the food showed up stone cold, the nan bread was so stale the dog wouldn't even use it as a Frisbee yet alone eat. Only 4 pieces of chicken in the curries and onion bhaji's were that fantastic they could have been used as bricks for a house, we called the restaurant to discuss the poor quality of food that arrived to us ... even paid a service charged and tipped the driver ... not sure what for as I might as well have went to Iceland for a frozen meal that still would have been warmer then what I order from these guys... moving on, we spoke to the comedian on the other end of the phone who I'm not even sure worked there as he didn't know what to say when we explained that the food was stone cold.. so cold that the dog wouldn't touch it eirther.. he offered a me a discount on our next order.. I then told the next Jimmy carr on the phone that I wouldn't want to order from them again and we asked for a refund and he said we can't do that but again reaped himself that he would give us a discount in our next order ... and then told me to contact just eat after being in the phone for 15 minutes he finally apologised🙄 very disappointing experience as this was my last takeaway before starting my diet... not only I was let down like my first time in bed I learnt something new.. it turned out you can kill a nan bread Thank god it wasn't my last meal before I died was planning on eating my feelings tonight but instead my bin ate stone cold depression and even the bins got indigestion 🙃 Don't worry I did chuck some gaviscon in

Food wasn’t great today which is sad because this is my favourite Indians pizza was under done everything was Lukewarm this place is usually amazing I’m wondering if they’ve had to many orders at once or something because it’s the first bad meal Iv had from here I don’t usually order through just eat though I always order through there website because the delivery charge is cheaper

I ordered my meal which arrived on time I put the meal out too notice that the chicken madras was like a cheese madras I phoned the restaurant too be told they would send a chicken madras within 30mins too an hour I asked for them too fund my my full meal as when my madras would have arrived everything else would of been cold they then said take it up with just eat because they were really busy and put the phone down on me.

The experience was mixed: My partner and I ordered different things but we both agreed that the curries were great but the sides disappointed. I had a vegetable Kashmiri and paratha. The paratha felt old and was a little stiff. I’m not sure if that was the way it would have been had it arrived on time but I suspect it may have. The Kashmiri, on the other hand, was out of this world. I wasn’t sure that a curry with bananas and cashew nuts would have worked but that was one of the best curries I’ve had for ages. My partner ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with lemon pilau. She was impressed that the flavouring came from real lemon but didn’t like the fact that the peel was in the rice. As for the Chicken Tikka Masala, she said that it was the best she’s had. The other disappointment was that fact that the delivery time. When the food hadn’t arrived by the end of the estimated delivery period, I called them. I was pleasantly surprised that they answered the phone even though they were already closed. They confirmed that my order was on its way. A few minutes later, I received a text confirmation from Just Eat. It arrived about 20 minutes after that.

Under cooked chips burnt pizza that burnt the base was black staff rude wouldn’t replace it trying to tell me the pizza was supposed to be like that even though it was inedible and we have ordered the same pizza on several occasions asked to speak to manager only to be told he was on holiday YEAH MAN !needless to say pizza went straight in the bin . Always nice to treat your customers with sheer and utter contempt. Never again will I be ordering from you again so yeah thank you very much you’ve lost a loyal customer.

Walked into the store and Ordered Indian Veg Curry after verifying what all veggies will be there (Peas, Carrot, Other vegetables) and chose for Madras version which is bit spicy. Upon asking for Paneer he said will be charged separately which I agreed. When I opened the box as home it was only "Gravy" And Paneer cubes.. Just wondering if I didn't ask for Paneer.. Absolute ridiculous service from this place, normally order and collect. Decided to get delivery this time, we live in a new build estate near a well known restaurant. After 2 hours we get a call from the driver saying he can't find the house, fair enough it's a new build. We give him directions and he said he will find it, 10 minutes later, nothing. We call him back and he doesn't even pick up the phone. Called the restaurant and they said he left and the order was cancelled. Doesn't even call us back to ask us to meet him where he is, just leaves. Restaurant only offers to refund us the money or we go and collect and they refund us the delivery money. After 2 hours of waiting that's all they can say, hung up on us too. Worst customer service. Never order from this place.
