Fantastic restaurant. Great food and superb service (especially from Bobby). We were a large group of 18 people and the team did an excellent job of serving all our delicious meals simultaneously. I would highly recommend Sachins.

Sachin's restaurant is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. But it was the food that truly stole the show. Every dish was a flavor explosion, bursting with aromatic spices and fresh ingredients. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, while the vegetable biryani was packed with layers of fragrant rice and perfectly cooked veggies. Each bite transported me to the streets of India. The naan bread was soft and pillowy, the perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of sauce. What truly sets Sachin's apart is their attention to detail and commitment to quality. Great Indian food. A regular stop when I go to Newcastle. Very noisy place, but that's the case in many other places.

Good tasting food but following a recent visit, I have just realised that the food hygiene rating has recently been rated only 2 star even though the stickers on the window say it is 5 star. I wouldn't have went if I'd known.

Exelent food, good sized portions and fair prices. Had a lovely meal at Sachins. Also kudos for barman Bobby, he's got a great sense of humour. We'll be back for sure!

Dreadful service. Waiting over an hour for food.

It was busy and they seemed panicked. Feels like they need more staff to take food orders. They include a service charge but the service isn’t great. The food comes quickly and is pretty good - like your local takeaway. The curries don’t have a lot of curry. The salmon starter was a bit dry. The chicken tikka was juicy.

Not great service, and my curry was so over loaded with salt it was nigh on inedible. Avoid the lamb murkahni.

Love Sachins! The food as usual did not disappoint. I had a delicious lamb dish which was described as mild spice, and thankfully it was. ( I'm a one step up from a Korma! ) Service was very good with the staff being polite and friendly. Bobby, our waiter was lovely, engaging and funny.

Went here for the first time last night for my partners and friends birthday, Lovely attentive staff the humour was great, food was fresh beautiful and delicious, when thay realised we where celebrating a birthday brought a slice of chocolate cake out really thoughtful, would highly recommend price very reasonable and we will definaly returning thank you.

Had dinner here with my girlfriend after a match. We have a feast and the food was great. We shared a tandoori platter and got paneer curry and a lamb curry with naan to share. Really really nice food and a warm and friendly welcome by our waiters. Bob and the team went above and beyond when I lost my wallet, which I was able to retrieve out of hours. We are a group of 6 adults from Scotland, we had been once before many years ago and decided to visit again. We were not disappointed, the food was outstanding We all had something different and everyone throughly enjoyed their meal. A big thank you to our waiter Bobby who was fantastic, very attentive, funny and a genuinely nice guy.

Absolutely amazing! Best curries we have ever had. We went as 2 couples for a Saturday late lunch. We chose the gourmet menu which was reasonably priced at £60 per couple. We’re adventurous eaters and like to try something new and we’re certainly not disappointed. Loved that we we surprised with our main courses. The service was second to none. Really impressed by the number of vegan options, it's nice not to be an afterthought for once. Daal and Aloo Gobi were top notch and our server Bobby was friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed my experience at Sachins. The whole family enjoyed my Grandads 70th Birthday. Special shoutout to Bobby he was the light of the room and created the whole atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. If you need an uplifting environment Bobby will do that for you! Never had a service like it.

I didn’t think this lived up to the reviews really. The service - on quite a busy Friday night - was pleasant but very very slow. We had to ask for both courses. And the food was OK but not better. Overall it was very gloopy: lots of sauce but not much content. The dhal was good (as I would expect) but my friend’s chicken was inedibly spicy - and she likes hot food. Husband had a pleasant mango-y chicken but so little chicken in the vat of sauce. Rice was good but the popadom and naan were unimpressive and I wondered how recently they’d been made. Quite a noise is made about the place, but I think my rather standard local Anokha is better overall.

Had a curry at teatime on a Saturday in this restaurant.Food was OK but a bit of a small portion size for the cost.Service was OK but a drinks order was not completed in time for us.The restaurant adds a 10% service charge to your bill irrespective of your party size.Foods were on the spicy size with a menu not as extensive as other Indians we have tried.

Called at this restaurant on a Saturday teatime for some food.They squeezed us in as we did not gave a booking at 5pm but gad to be out by 615pm. With the time restraints we decided to order main courses only.We ordered drinks - no draught beers - and ordered our food from the menu.The menu doesn't have some of the regular curries ie dupiaza,shaslick or side orders or chapatis. The food arrived altogether bhuna,butter chicken,chicken murgh,onion rice,nan and rotis.The food was spicier than we were used to but was nice.The portions were on the small side but tasty.The service was a bit hap hazard as they didn't get drinks for a 2nd time when requested at the table.The bill when it came had a 10% service charge added for a table of four people.The food was OK but I've had better and the service could be improved.

Amazing food, the dish formerly known as a jalfrezi was unbelievably hot and an excellent experience, recommended for the chilli head. Staff very attentive and friendly . Strongly recommended.

The food was authentic with great flavors. The night was busy with a few large parties. Kitchen got immediately backed up and took three hours to get main course. I would suggest that the restaurant limit the number of larger parties per night.

This is a perfect place for work night-outs, casual dining or date nights. Went for Husband’s birthday and was not disappointed. Friendly staff, helpful in dish selections. Lovely tasty food , good selections, value for money. New Staff member Bobby very friendly (great at singing happy birthday).

The food was average, we have to wait 90 minutes for our order to be taken. Food arrived just over 2 hours after the booking. Due to the delay in order we skipped starters. As gesture of goodwill at the least popadoms should have been served. We were only offered drinks when we arrived and never asked or given the opportunity to order more. Charged service charges even though the service was beyond appalling. Apparently they were short staffed, surly this should have been explained when we arrived? Decor and service is very dated. The waiter made us wait from 7.30 to only take out order 9.30pm and taking all the orders from the 1st floor. No courtesy or apology for making us wait or prioritising us.

Food was ok, came in good time, I found it odd the rice was on a plate. Not big portions. Needs to invest in the decor. I personally probably wouldn't go back. also a service charge of £7.20 for 2 people which I thought was weird, I would have tipped

One of the best restaurants Newcastle has to offer, we attended as a stag party and although there was a mix up with the bookings (on our side) they happily accommodated for a large group. All the food was fantastic with no one complaining, I went for the spiciest curry they had ‘Not so Jalfreezi’ and I wasn’t let down, really hot but loads of flavour which is difficult to balance. What really blew me away was the service, it’s so rare to find great food and even better service. The servers were friendly but professional, it’s a little more pricey than some competitors but when you take the quality in to consideration you can totally understand why. Highly recommend.

Hello, I went here on a special occasion, and while the starters were satisfying the curry (Malai Kofta and Panner Makhan Masala) that I ordered needed a lot of work. 1) The Malai kofta grevy was not authentic; it was not rich as it should have been and the stuffing was seen to be filled with green peace, which does not seem authentic. The kofta was not as delicious as It used to be with the actual ingredients. 2) Panner Makhan Masala was created using Tometo pure, which was improperly fried. Panner Tometo Masala can be used as a substitute name of the served Panner Makhan Masala.

Food was great! Loved every bite. Not usually an onion bhaji fan as I find them too stodgy but gave the onion pakora a go and they were anything but stodgy. The curries were rich and flavoursome. Service was with a big smile, very friendly. We were very early diners so the first course took a while to get going but the staff acknowledged the delay and apologised - it was really no problem for us though.

Best curry house for a group night out - great food, good service and cater really well for anyone in your party who has catering special needs and they've redecorated with the toilets much improved since visiting previously

Having some complex food intolerances, I meant to ring ahead (like I usually do ) to discuss my options. I was unable to do so on this occasion. However, the gentleman I spoke to when we arrived at the restaurant (party of 10) was very helpful. He talked through all the dishes on the menu with me & identified which ones were to be avoided & which ones could be adapted. There were no starters that were suitable so he cooked a chicken pakora especially for me to suit my needs. For my main course he again cooked 2 dishes to suit my intolerances and I had the most delicious chicken curry and fish curry with boiled rice. This was far beyond my expectations, as I had not contacted them earlier, and a refreshing change: a lot of restaurants just say dishes are not suitable, cannot be adapted or have no alternatives to offer. It was lovely to be able to enjoy a meal out without being made to feel like I was a burden! Well done Sachins: I will certainly return when we next visit Newcastle. It's a shame I live so far away!

Quite expensive compared to a lot of Indian restaurants and food was very salty

My 'knowledgeable Indian food' friend really rates Sachins, saying the spices used are the most authentic he has tasted outside of India itself. We had a slection of what my friend called 'The essentials' between three of us: Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka, ChickenTikka Three Ways, Murgh Labdar and Roghan Josh. We added Peshawi Nan and a Pilau Rice, and we were set! Absolutly excellent, and incredibly tasty. With a few beers and glasses of wine, the bill came to £128, includng service (which was friendly, attentive and efficient). Sachins is tucked behind the Central Station, and is well worth seeking out!

Me and my boyfriend have come to Newcastle for his birthday and we just googled on the of chance top rated Indians! This has to be hands down the best curry we have ever had the staff were amazing and accommodating made us feel at ease and advised us both on authentic curries as we asked for a specific curry and we wasn’t disappointed, staff were fun, engaging made you feel apart of what they work for amazing experience! Booked a table a week prior, no need, no reception, just led to a table with young children running around, it was 8pm. Ordered a tandoori platter, all items tasted exactly the same, very bland. 2 main courses, 1 king prawn, the other lamb, both tasted the same. I know any Indian kitchen has a "stock pot" but these 2 curries were identical as well as bland and very watery. Garlic nan dough was raw, very hard to achieve in a tandoor. Manager/owners responce was very defensive and a little aggressive. 2 pints and £61 wasted. Avoid

Went here for my son's 24th birthday. Didn't book it as a birthday meal but the staff noticed him opening some cards and at the end came out with a cake and candle for him and sang happy birthday!! Such a surprise and a special touch, thank you! The food itself was amazing. One of our party was gluten free and she commented on how clear the menu was for this. We’d planned to go earlier this year but had to cancel so were looking forward to a night out. I pre-booked on the day and when we arrived we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff. The service was attentive without being intrusive. I think we hit the quiet time as there were plenty of tables and we were given a choice of where to sit. After we arrived the tables began to fill but the staff worked efficiently to make sure everyone was looked after. We ordered the Gourmet Meal for two and were promptly presented with the obligatory popadoms, pickles & chutneys. The other courses arrived in good time with the waiters explaining each dish. The food was good quality and really tasty. This is not the cheapest place to eat but given the service and quality of the food it represents good value.

Absolutely incredible food! The gunpowder chicken is fantastic although we’ve ordered a range of dishes and each has been so delicious. Service is always impeccable too. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

We found the food to be very dry. The service was ok, but having to queue in the doorway while our pre-booked table was prepared was a bit of a surprise. The front of house staff work hard to make up for any shortcomings...

Probably the most disappoint Indian food in Newcastle, the starters were uncooked and dry, the main course too was disastrous. the desserts were good hence 1 start, probably best to skip

Hadn't been for a while since we left Newcastle but it was as good as we remembered. Food was superb and beautifully prepared and served hot. Portions were big and the Sachins Tandoori stater was delicious. Bobby was friendly and welcoming even after all this time he remembered us. Still think this is the best food we have had in an Indian restaurant. We will be back some time.

I had 2 bad experiences here. One was 5 years ago when I was loving in Newcastle. When I came to the restaurant and he knew I was Arabic, he said we don't have Hala food. 2023, I had a chance to go back to Newcastle, and I thought to go agin to this restaurant. I called them to book a table , and the manager said yes, we had a table for 2, come to 8 p.m. when I arrived me and my wife and I tried not to give a table. After thats he gave a table and ignored it for 30 minutes. Then he came and took order. After that we were waiting for 30 minutes , and finally started to come. After finishing starts, we waiting for 45 mint no main course. The issue was that he served all other tables, even though the ppl came after us. I saud to manager this is not acceptable, I guess I should cancel the order. Immediately, he said OK. No apology, no even professional behaviour. I don't know if this is a kind of discrimination or if he is picky for the claint. I won't never recommend ppl who visit Newcastle, especially Arab

Original and authentic Indian food.

The food was very flavorful. We split the lamb kashmiri goshat and the kabli channa. That was just enough for the two of us. I would eat here again when visiting Newcastle. Convenient location next to the hotel we were staying at.
