To be honest I didnt want to go. after some dreadful meals in Indian restaurants I had decided enough was enough. However my Wife wanted to try Temle and off we went. All I can say i, s wow! What a change of cuisine. The menu was an upgrade from economy to business class. We had got used to mundane Indian food where the same sauce was used on every dish and it was just a different meat/fish dish.. The food was presented well and tasted divine. clever use of spices and herbs, superb starters, nice choice of wines spirits etc. The main courses were absolutley brlliant, well cooked and good portions. The naan bread was fluffy and light The deserts were just normal buy in type fare, but again well served and good size portions! The service was good when you had the waiters attention, however people coming in for takeaways and telephone orders tended to take them a little off track. All in all abrilliant night and reasonably priced, will definatly be going again!

Excellent all round. We came here on a Tastecard deal where for each side, starter and main course you get another free. We didn’t know at the time but you have to order all three or the deal isn’t honoured. The food is tasty and lovely and hot. The onion bhaji’s were freshly cooked, large and crispy. The meat samosas were the best I’ve had. Our chicken korma’s were creamy with loads of chicken. The keema rice was the best I’ve ever had and was full of meat. The mushroom bhaji and sag aloo were also excellent. Overall the service and obviously the final bill were also excellent . This restaurant is not to be confused with the one in South Woodford but Chigwell just beats South Woodford for overall value and taste. We will definitely return.

As a vegan going to an Indian restaurant isn’t easy (hard to believe I know)…however these guys surprised me. The food looked and tasted fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed dinning here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a pleasant experience

We were a group of 12 and opted for the buffet dinner at Royal nawaab. We had a great time. I must say there's a variety of Indian food which tasted good. What was the highlight was the gajar ka halwa - a carrot dessert. It's a bit overpriced, and the atmosphere is crowded, especially with the buffet.

This pub used to be called the ashgrove , its now called the central.it's not a pub anymore ,its solely an Indian restaurant. You have to book according to one the waiters. One of the waiters was very rude and abrupt he's name was kertan , he didn't have a name badge on which he should.ordered drinks and the order was incorrect. The coke had the syrup missing from the machine. The food was too too hot and the nan breads too dry. It's expensive for what it is . If the owner is reading this turn one side back into a pub and leave the other side into a restaurant. The food was to o hot and the customer should be asked if they'd prefer there food hot medium or home style. This place isn't BYOB which let's itself down too. Better customer focus from the waiters is needed and from the chef.

My go-to Indian dining spot and has become a comfort location for me, I have celebrated many of my birthdays here with family and it is a great environment and atmosphere to do so. The food is spectacular, my personal favourites are the mogo chips and egg fried rice. Quick and efficient service and very friendly staff
