Royal Nawaab Ilford in Redbridge

Booked a table of 17 for our visit to celebrate Eid. I had chosen this venue due to my excellent experience the 1st time I went a few months back. Upon arrival, we had to wait 30mins for our table despite reserving. The reception area was absolutely jam packed with people and I could see it was a struggle for security to contain and manage this. When we were finally led to our seat, I was shocked to find that they had to split our group up over 3 tables, so we couldn't all sit together. This was despite seeing other tables together for larger groups. When we contained about this, they just mentioned that if the table next to us cleared away, then they could join their table together with ours. Of course, the table next to us was still there by the time we were leaving. The entire place was extremely overcrowded and this completely spoilt the ocassion for all of us, as it seemed the management was intent to serve as many people as possible to capitalise on this Eid day. We had to ask for some of our glasses to be replaced as there were lipstick marks on them, you could just tell crockery and cutlery were 'cleaned' as a rush job. There were 13 adults in our group with 3 kids and 1 underage child who was exempt from paying. When we went to pay, the bill produced by the manager showed 15 adults which was really annoying and they hadn't even deducted the £50 reservation fee I had already paid before. It was only at the 3rd time of refreshing the bill that it had been taken off. Overall, an extremely terrible experience, with the traffic in ilford prior to us arriving not helping. I would certainly avoid this place on festival days due to their incompent management of the entire evening. It was really bad.

This was an excellent experience. Even though I think the guys should be more friendly to persons of color. The food was good. I would recommend, don't go alone. It's boring when you go alone. You get full easily. But if you go with friends, it's good. I love the Lamb stake. Compared to Chinese buffet, they don't limit it here. You get atleast 3 to 4 stakes. It's technically all you can eat. You will be tired 😫. But the cooks are good. There is a pepper 🌶 soup Lamb that is Al's available. Ice cream was top notch. Although it's quite noisy, I wished there could be a more innovative arrangement to reduce the noise intrusion. I don't know if it's because it's Ramadan. So you get loads of people speaking.

The overall service was great. Food could have been better. Aamir was excellent.

We love the food excluding Namkeen Gosht. Amir Khan served us very well and he is such a lovely guy.

Amir was very helpful, cooperative and responsive. Very kind person and assisted us very promptly and open heartedly. Food like namkeen ghost, lamb nihari and seekh kebab needs improvement.

My recent experience at the buffet left much to be desired. Frankly, I feel like I've been robbed. The quality of the food was subpar, to say the least. It's no surprise the price was so cheap, given the dismal selection and taste. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Save your money and your taste buds the disappointment.

I've been to quite a few buffet services in the UK, and so far, I can say this has been my best experience in terms of food quality and atmosphere.

Today evening, when we went for dine in and as we started eating food, one waiter came and instructed to me and my family to finish the food within 90 min. When I asked for the reason they said as you are “non muslim” and due to Ramadan you have to finish your food in 90 min and leave. This was very embarrassing and awkward. We could not enjoy our food and we left within an hour. We were not expecting to get such hospitality based on customer’s religion. Please put a notice board for all “non muslim”people of such instructions before they come in. # “Royal?” Nawab Reply to Owner’s comment- Unfortunately, this is not a lie. With due respect please check with your staff.

It was crowded for iftar So had to wait, but they offered iftar to all people in a waiting Area, which is a good and appreciative thing. To accommodate more people, the space is quite tight The service is amazing Fish Pokara, Tawa Fish, chicken Madras were standout food for me Rest of the food was like a basic in taste Desserts, they don’t have much options and available options were all quite basic Overall its has a good vibe, worth trying atleast once

Once, I was really excited to go to a restaurant called Royals Nawab Ilford. I called them beforehand to ask if I needed to book a table, and they said no, so we went. But when we got there, everything was a mess. Lots of people were waiting, and it felt like nobody knew what to do. I felt really sad because I was hoping to have a nice time, especially since it was freezing cold outside. It felt like they didn't care about what they said on the phone. I thought I could trust them, but it turned out they weren't honest with me. It made me feel really upset, like they didn't care about making us happy. Even though we tried to stay positive, it was hard. The restaurant wasn't like how they described it on the phone. It made us feel really let down and disappointed. And because it was so cold outside, we suffered the whole hour we waited. To make things worse, the staff at the restaurant were really rude. When we mentioned that they had told us no reservation was needed, they didn't accept it. They acted like we were lying, and it made us feel even worse. I felt like we were waiting forever for a table, and nobody seemed to care. I realized that I had been tricked, and it made me feel really sad. I thought the restaurant would be a fun place to go, especially since I had my children and guests with me. But it ended up being a big disappointment. It wasn't just about not getting a table; it was about feeling like nobody cared about us, especially when we had special needs. It hurt our feelings a lot, and I didn't want to go back there again. In the end, going to Royals Nawab Ilford wasn't fun at all. It made me feel really upset, and I don't think I'll ever forget how it made me feel. They do not care about their customers and very less about organised table booking.
