The best restaurants serving Indian food in Merton London

Yesterday was the last day for this restaurant. I have had many happy nights here. You will be sorely missed.

Food was delivered late so not very hot

It's a shame because I've been ordering from here for 12 years and today they totally screwed up! I called to order and they didn't even know what I was talking about. Then they offered a callback which was pointless. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for my food to turn up and they charged me £3.30 on top of the actual menu price. Appalling service. 12 years of loyalty down the drain! They didn't even offer a discount. Money grabbers! Do not order any food from here!

The food is flavourful especially the devilled mutton that’s my favourite. The only bad thing I could comment is that I live in a cabin in the back of a property and I generally don’t go to the door unless I see the “preparing and delivering” is when I go to the house and wait so please keep ontop of notifications to make delivery more fluid. Other than that the food there’s never been a problem

I have dined at many restaurants, but never have I experienced such blatant disregard as I did at Princess of India in Morden, London. If this is how they treat their guests, I can only hope the real princesses of India showed more grace than the so-called hospitality here. The restaurant had only three groups – a party of eight, two friends at another table, and us. And yet, despite the light crowd, we were treated as if we were invisible. No welcome, no warmth, no service. The waiter passed by us repeatedly, without so much as a glance, while tending to the other tables. Was it exhaustion? Indifference? Or something far uglier—blatant discrimination? The middle-aged, fair-skinned manager (who looked more suited for the gym than the hospitality industry) barely acknowledged our presence. He never visited our table, never asked if we needed anything, and at the end he did but when we left, he didn’t even muster a simple ‘thank you’ or ‘goodnight’—basic courtesies in any decent restaurant. To make matters worse, tables were left unclean, staff were more interested in wiping glasses and bowls and disappearing into the kitchen than actually tending to guests. It made me wonder: if they can treat us this way, what would they do to the citizens of this country? Look, I understand hospitality is demanding. Long hours, constant service—but this was just a buffet. All they had to do was clear plates and check in on customers, yet even that seemed too much to ask. Respect should be given to all, regardless of nationality or race. What we experienced was beyond disappointing—it was insulting. This was, without a doubt, the worst night we've had at a restaurant, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you value basic human decency, avoid this place. Having placed our order, which was a struggle as the guy didn't appear to know his own menu, we were told that the order would take an hour and a half. As such I asked to cancel the order and have my money returned. As a result I was promised delivery with 60 to 70 minutes with the consequence that if it did not arrive in that time, we would be reimbursed our money. We agreed to continue although I emphasized that this was not about the money but about a family celebration of my eldest sons exam results. 70 minutes later I received a phone call to be told that "we have done it" and that the driver would be with us in five minutes. After fifteen minutes of waiting and no driver arriving I phoned again to be told that they would phone him to try and track him down. Bizarre given that I live so close to this place. After one hour and three quarters the driver finally appeared stating that he had left the shop just five minutes previously, so everything I'd been told was a pre-empted lie. I asked for the reimbursement and was now told that the guy didn't have the authority to do that but I could have 20% off my next order. I was also told that whatever else, I was about to eat some delicious food. Turns out that was just another of their lies. Rubbish service No qualms about lying to their customer Really mediocre, underwhelming food. Avoid this place.

they are never open any more but say they are. phone no answer, just eat cancels orders... have they closed down? (tried to order multiple times over the past month, have been a loyal customer for 3 years, I really loved their food!)

We went to this restaurant as a group of an organized group tour. Place was little clumsy for big group. Food taste and preparation was average. Can be opted if no choice available.

Currys really delicious and reasonable prices. Best takeaway than other restaurants.
