K2 Indian Takeaway in Merton - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

Having placed our order, which was a struggle as the guy didn't appear to know his own menu, we were told that the order would take an hour and a half. As such I asked to cancel the order and have my money returned. As a result I was promised delivery with 60 to 70 minutes with the consequence that if it did not arrive in that time, we would be reimbursed our money. We agreed to continue although I emphasized that this was not about the money but about a family celebration of my eldest sons exam results. 70 minutes later I received a phone call to be told that "we have done it" and that the driver would be with us in five minutes. After fifteen minutes of waiting and no driver arriving I phoned again to be told that they would phone him to try and track him down. Bizarre given that I live so close to this place. After one hour and three quarters the driver finally appeared stating that he had left the shop just five minutes previously, so everything I'd been told was a pre-empted lie. I asked for the reimbursement and was now told that the guy didn't have the authority to do that but I could have 20% off my next order. I was also told that whatever else, I was about to eat some delicious food. Turns out that was just another of their lies. Rubbish service No qualms about lying to their customer Really mediocre, underwhelming food. Avoid this place.

Food took over 1hour and 40 minutes to arrive when we had been told on ordering 45 minutes (due to a diabetic in the family this was unacceptable) we rang 4 times after the 1st hour and kept being told 15 mins, 5 mins etc. But on asking to cancel after the 1st 1hr 10min were told it was too late for a refund. The food that arrived was very good. BUT 6 poppadoms ordered but received 3 broken into bits. The butterfly prawn - £4.95 - was one medium prawn on lettuce. The 4 onion bajis were 2. And we got 2 plain rice instead of pilau. On ringing again we were told they'd run out of pilau rice, that we'd only ordered 2 bajis and the slow service was due to them being one person down. We were told that a refund was not possible but 25% off the next order was offered. As we were not sent a bill we have no idea what was sent versus what we ordered. We will not be ordering again.

Very disappointing meal, really wished that we hadn’t bothered. We wanted an easy takeaway for NYE, and husband wanted a curry. We have had food from here before and it was much better. Firstly was told that it would take an hour and half to come. I ordered at 5.45 and they said 7.15pm. I agreed but 8 pm came and went and when I called again to chase they said that they were running behind. Again the mythical 15 mins was quoted again and when it finally came around 8.30pm it was missing all the starters, poppadoms were smashed. I called again and they delivered the starters around 9.10pm after we had eaten the mains and didn’t want them anymore. To add insult to injury when I looked at the prawn purées this morning there was a tub of cauliflower. Rubbish service, mediocre food, never again. I know that NYE is busy but if you cannot cope with the amount of orders, don’t take them. Very disappointing. Really wished Curry Royal was still around, by far the best curry around this neck of the woods.

Acabo de llevar, no podía creer la diferencia en la comida desde mi última comida desde allí. Pedimos un pollo tikka masala, cordero biryani y tandoori roti. ¿El pollo tikka masala era del color correcto pero no tenía chile y la salsa estaba llena de coco desecado? ¡El tandoori roti era un naan! El biryani parecía estar bien, pero no había chile, así que no es tan auténtico. Los llamé y tuve que pasarlo al gerente ya que la persona que respondió decidió que no podía hablar inglés cuando se dio cuenta de que quería quejarme. Le informé al gerente que no habíamos pedido un korma, entonces, ¿por qué todo el coco desecado? Dijo qué ingredientes debería haber en un tikka masala y le sugerí que buscara la receta en google. Luego me informó que no cocinan comida india auténtica sino al estilo occidental, a lo que dije entonces, ¿por qué su sitio web dice que la comida es auténtica? Luego informó que cambiaron la administración recientemente y le sugerí que restablecieran a los gerentes anteriores. Para agregar insulto, la entrega se retrasó 25 minutos y la comida estaba fría.

Iordered tandoori chicken and called to ask for lots of coriander as I love the stuff. Food arrived 15 minutes earlier than suggested, tasted really good and had plenty of coriander on it! I would definitely recommend and use again.

A really bad meal, they obviously had an excess of chilli - even the saag paneer was too hot. Poor flavour. Very disappointing!

Good value, lovely service and really really delicious food. Would highly recommend. Green herb chicken tikka is excellent and it's definitely one of the best curry takeaways I've had. My only criticism would be the photos they use outside/inside the takeaway - they do not do the food justice at all and look really quite unappealing.

Havn’t reviewed our takeaway delivery service for 4 years.ordered Chicken tikka masala, pilla rice,mushroom baje what I got was totally different and the sauce was hot. Not mild, we waited 45 minutes about average for delivery. After a phone call we had the driver return with a total refund, possibly a new chef working here I don’t know this is the first time we have been totally disappointed in about 18 years using this takeaway delivery Restaurant.

No entiendo las críticas negativas, la comida me pareció excelente y sin falta.En nuestro caso, recogimos nuestra ruta para no experimentar los problemas que otras personas podrían haber tenido con las entregas. Nuestro pedido fue simple con solo curry de nan y veg, pero lo que tuvimos fue excelente.Definitivamente regresaría y probaré otros platos. Sugerencia a los demás que confían en Tripadvisor, ignore las críticas negativas y pruébelo usted mismo.

K2 provide wonderful food, and a good selection. We have always had amazing food, would highly recommend it.

Having a night in on my own, decided on a nice chicken korma, naan paraatha and popadoms. Order placed and delivered quicker than indicated.....all good. Opened container to find food like warm and popadums all smashed into little pieces. Chicken pieces were tender but the creamy sauce was more watery than a nice creamy consistency. Had to throw most of it away since the rice was practically floating in the water!!! Conclusion? Never order from here again.

Typical Bengali takeaway that caters for the English palette. They already have the sauces done so they just heat it up with the meat you have ordered. I would certainly recommend you spend a little effort to go to rooting to get the real McCoy with many options either Pakistani or South Indian.

They try to cheat you with the offers and then they call you hundred times, the app is not giving you the discounts, Very rude people

The best curry ever! I always have chicken Rogan Josh, Big portions, tender meat and service is polite and fast, great take away!

Takeaway took nearly an hour and a half for delivery. Food was like warm. We got butter chicken it was oily and bland. The pilau rice lacked flavour and the nan was cold and soggy. Definitely better takeaways around.

This place does what it needs to with no fuss. The food is always fresh and tasty and prepared quickly.

There are so many rubbish takeaways in this area, this one is decent. I've ordered from here twice now & food arrives piping hot. Curries on the milder side even if it's "hot" on the menu.

We originally orderd for an early time so our kids could eat the restaurant pushed it back by half hour which was fine but still received it an hour late after calling twice and being told will be with us shortly i had to cook something else for my kids so overall not happy and will go else where in future

The delivery took 2 hrs on a Tuesday evening, where the delivery man supposedly came to the house and called my phone multiple times when he did not. When he finally did arrive, after multiple phone calls, was incredibly rude and intimating, shouting at me calling me a lier and threading that I would be black listed. I was evenltly given the food and he slammed my front door and walked off. What an apauling take away who should be removed from Just Eat! Disguising behavior. Even if there was a lack of comintation you do not expect this response with such aggression when I paid a large amount of money for a meal!

Absolutely the best Indian take away in London, hands down. The food is fantastic and portions are generous. I have been ordering from here for years and whilst the delivery times can sometimes be a stretch too long, overall the food makes it worth the wait.

The food is good, very good samosas, no real real tandoor oven to make the tandoori but is nice none the less (its red not pale yellow or off orange). The curries are very good, only downside is they are very often busy as always have offers so sometimes you will wait well over an hour for your food, order early to avoid disappointment. Also the description of fairly hot is a bit misleading, dishes with naga chillies are VERY hot (unless you are a vindaloo eater which lets face it is about as Indian as a ham and cucumber sandwich).

Terrible delivery service. A real shame! Rang them and they said it was on its way with a driver doing 4-5 deliveries and waited over a hour and half. Just wonder how cold my food is!

Tikka masala was so sweet it was sickly and couldn't eat it! Saag was plain with no flavour and gloopy spinach! Would not recommend or use again!

Top takeaway always has been consistent and flavourful. I'm a big carnivore so a bit more meat would never go a miss and that's the only reason they don't score even higher. One of my favourite takeaways whenever I do indulge.

Sunday night, food took 1.5 hours to arrive after a promise of 30 mins. Worst Indian takeaway I have ever ordered. Bar none. Tandoori chicken was utterly inedible. Basically small chicken scraps dipped in raw spices and tossed in the oven for about 3 times...

Ordered at 19.40....delivery for 21.05 and now says 'delivered'. Currently 21.25, still not here..there must be a better way of communicating accurate delivery times? Basically, order 2 hours before, especially Saturday, is my tip. Anyway...as I said, we love your food and honesty...xx

Not impressed with the food or the delivery time. Initial estimate was an hour but food arrived after an hour and a half! Way too much colouring in the chicken tikka and in general not much flavour to the food.

Terrible. Just terrible. The food took between 1hr30 and 2hrs to arrive. When I called after an hour - I was lied to and told it would be there in 5-7 minutes. When that time was up, I was told that they couldn't get hold of the driver (which clarified that the earlier 5-7 minute prediction was either a guess or a lie). The driver then called me and said he was 2 mins away. He arrived 15 minutes later. Lies and more lies. Don't order from here. The store also blamed just eat and said that the order waa severely delayed in being sent to them from just eat. Whoever is to blame, I want a full refund

Only half the bread was marked so no idea what half of it was that I was eating or even if I got what I ordered.

The meal was delicious as always!!
