Went there for the 1st time for a quick lunch with my friend, who’s Srilankan and quite fussy. She really enjoyed her meal. We had mutton rolls, fish cutlets, mutton kothu and special noodles. The food was really good, authentic and good value. The waiter was polite and helpful. They seemed to be doing some maintenance but stopped when we asked them to. Will definitely go back.

I've always been curious about why this place is often so empty when I pass by, so on a scorching day after shopping at Tesco across the street, I finally decided to give it a try. The food itself was delicious, but wow, the spice level was off the charts! 🔥🔥🔥I ordered a mild curry for my child, expecting it to be gentle, but to my shock, it was still unbelievably spicy. I couldn’t even finish it, and my child struggled as well. 😪 We found ourselves guzzling down water, devouring naan in desperation. Please, please consider asking customers how spicy they prefer their food. A little flexibility could go a long way in making the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Life's worst experience ever,never again going back even if I starve to death ,rude waiter,so called cook ,highly arrogant I don't wanna call him a Chef ,it is an insult for such a high profession ,we were served cold food not even room temperature, waiter was disgusting, ambience will in it self will depressed you ,plates were super dirty ,I have a lot more to say ......

Today I visited for lunch,ordered chicken kothu parota.i thought I will receive boring tasteless dish.i told staff more oil and spicy. In 10 mins parcel received.taste is too good wooowww crazy after a long time nearly 2 years had very nice food.spices are very natural and small green chillies are perfect blend of hotness.very delicious. Thank you chef and staff.

everything tasted good, the chicken in the biriyani was just a few massive lumps I'd prefer bite sized peices personally.

Terrible experience. Went in to test it out as I was looking for a venue to hire for a 30th birthday. The food, even the rice was way over spices, over prices and nasty. Chicken was cheap quality and very bad taste. And watch out for the £3.00 they charge for the water that they out on the tables. Very bad customer service. No atmosphere at all. Not even music. Terrible

Decent place for South Indian taste

Sadly the worst experience of a curry house. Place where we sat to eat was cold and felt you were sat in a warehouse with boxes everywhere and table linen and coats stacked and hung up. Never offered popperdoms like every other curry house we have been to. Asked for mains and starter to arrive together when we ordered, this didn’t happen. The starter arrived. 10 minutes later the spiciest Korma I have ever eaten arrived, then 10 minutes after that the rice and other main arrived. Served on cold plates. No peshwari naan available. I ordered korma as I hate hot and spicy food…this was just horrible. The chicken biriani had hardly any meat in and was also so spicy and tasted like perfume. After our meal when we got the bill, we were given the towel to clean our hands, this was also cold and hadn’t been heated up. The waitress had trouble understanding what we were asking for as well, so we didn’t bother complaining. Door to kitchen was open at some points and one chef was coughing a lot without covering his mouth. We will never return! Very disappointing and a waste of money.

The food was terrible. My food was cold and there was a hair in one of my dishes. The manager was very rude as I tried to bring this up. I think there was a language barrier, which is not a problem but the tone was not friendly. The atmosphere was nice but because of the food and the customer service, it was a terrible experience.

Authentic SriLankan and Indian restaurant with really nice food. Even dosas are of good quality and crisp. Overall, it was a very nice restaurant. For Indian Boys parties ask them for private room to have a nice time. Please call them for private room,

I have bought few dishes as take away. One of the best Sri Lankan food. Nethali dry, sea food Briyani was excellent. I would highly recommend. Superb friendlier customer service.

Amazing experience!! Really fresh, and have kind of had a makeover I think. And it's a big success with me. Very tasty fried mutton, aubergine curry and mutton rolls!! So delicious. UPDATE : - The prices have gone up, the portions have gone down significantly! I was very disappointed in the portion size. The rice boxes were loosely filled, and the curry boxes were half filled. 😔 You can't put prices up and not give us full boxes.

The food was okay… the delivery took 2h 30min because apparently ‘the driver delivered to the wrong address’.

People need to know that this place always uses lots of chilli - their food is hot. I don't mind that. Kothu was nice: normally is. Chicken Tikka Makhani was a travesty. 5 small pieces of chicken all on the bone, one being a wing, some bones fragmented into pieces so you have to eat with your fingers carefully to avoid the shards of bone. Cheapest possible meat and mostly waste anyway. The sauce goes down the sink (too hot to eat loads of), and half the meat goes in the bin as bones and cartilage, for £10+.

Food blend average can be better especially chicken Biryani. Chicken pieces are slightly hard can be better then that soft n tender . Timing was paka on time driver polite and explained that he early which shows the delivery dedication according to the time . Apart from everything the food is average .

Used to be really good for Sri Lankan food, but lately it tastes nothing like authentic Sri Lankan food. If you want authentic Sri Lankan food, look elsewhere.

We went for a get together..the mixed veg rice was ok.. but all other dishes Abugines, dhall,mutton curry,mixed noodles were full of oil..it was not up to taste too.. for vegetarians they didn't have good choices!! I will only go for hoppers!!

Chicken jalfreza wasn’t to par nor spicy like it should no, korma was tasteless, saag aloo was green and not what it should look like. onion bhaji was spicy when the shouldn’t be and the food was cold on delivery. I wouldn’t advice this to family and friends.

Awful service, rude staff, underwhelming food as in expired and old - overall a disgusting business and restaurant and I would not recommend to anyone. There’s far better restaurants out there. Avoid at all costs.

Worst customer service and the takeaway biriyani barely had any chicken in it. The biriyani was soggy aswell. Definitely not worth the money.

Ordered a Takeaway here today. Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Mutton Kothu and a few Mutton Rolls. Amazing! All dishes were perfectly seasoned, hot and had generous portions of Meat. We will definitely come again!!

It was almost 90 minutes from order to delivery.

It was a Friday night and choosing from the menu there was a special, special, huh, I was a lone dinner my first visit, I was served poppadums, good ones, and a. Mass of sweet tin bowls full of excitement, and a middle size bowl of plain rice, there was something like a doughnut dumpling on a separate plate, of these bowl, 2 actually had food in, and a chunder daal, the rest were sauce I refused to pay I sat at the table and said that one dish tasted of fish, vegetarian remember, the maitre d, explained it was plantain, the peel of it more like, looked like fish skin and tasted of fish, well I was completely put off of the whole thought of consuming anymore of there feast. I sat, and sat,. When I left without paying, he chased me into the local shop with another 2 men in filthy chefs whites and butchers aprons. I refused to pay, with witnesses, he submitted. Later to make amends, I spent £25 at Tesco's, on cauliflower peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and the like,. To show him my contempt of his pathetic thali. Which included none of these ingredients. on offering a peaceful conclusion he told his barman to call the police, me to get out get out, don't have a conscious or good dishes .

How disappointing was that meal!! Biriani that tasted like it had a pot of chilli powder chucked in it and 3 bits of meat and with no vegetable curry accompaniment and a lamb dopiaza that was chewy and ridiculously hot. This should have been a mild curry for my kids. Even my husband who likes a hot curry felt it was too spicy. We will not be returning for this crap food. Much better when it was Chilli’s years ago.

We ordered chicken 65, it was not chicken 65, just fried chicken, very dry and tasteless. Mutton kothu, no salt, taste very plain, very bad food. We visited 4years ago, it was good experience, but today very disappointed. Nethali puttu, very bad. We won't go again.

Excellent Sir Lankan food you can eat in New Malden. Best and reasonably cheap place to hire the function hall next to it too.

On Valentines, me and my family went there for a meal. The place wasn't clean, the staff were rude and did not take responsibility and the food was disgusting. The service wasn't that good; they do not care about the customer's wellbeing. The food upsets our stomach and it took far too long to arrive. I would not recommend going to this place; there are better restaurants.

Kottu was dry and not freh. Had to throw it away

First time we tried srilankan food here this may be the worst food I ever tasted.i was reading other reviews about this restaurant we all have the similar opinion mutton kothu was awful frozen kothu they just mixed it with awful gravy it tasted very bad.i couldn't eat my masala dosa and Madhu vada was reheated I left all my food. But the coffee was good. I have told waitress about the food .she was very apologetic and will give the feed back to the owner. I will never visit this restaurant again .

The hoppers were floppy sides should have been crispy, the egg was runny should have been cooked a little longer, other than that the food was very tasty. If they can improve on the 2 things mentioned above it would have been 5 stars all round 😊

Ordered few mutton rolls on the new year….too spicy & one of my guest found small mettle pice in the roll.immediately I called the restaurant to find out but the staff was careless & no response.I was waiting for the owner to call me back.but he didn’t… no hygiene,poor food quality,don’t bother about customer,never going back to this restaurant & definitely not recommended 👎I wouldn’t even give one star for this restaurant 🤮

Messed up review with another place. This place is not great. Last time here 3 years ago . My Good Lady & I had food poisoning . Did call in a while back just to have a beer as some friends were eating and asked me to pop by. Not good service. It was felt many dishes microwave long wait 2 out of 6 had bad stomachs after luckly I just had a beer and was frown on by staff for not eating. Place was next to empty. Sorry but if you run a business customers come first not staff chatting to each other or on mobile phones

The food was too spicy. My children couldn’t eat the curry and the dosa fillings.

Firstly, ensure you dont have to use the facilities or you may be tempted to walk out. Secondly, the food is just about average but service and cleanliness is very poor.

Food was disappointing. Bhindi Bhaji included literally just two pieces of okra. Order arrived on time but was set (by the restaurant we assume) at well over an hour post order.

Been previously and had a nice time, came today and was horrible. Took ages to serve us and ignored us completely when other people came in. Ended up walking out after being ignored after asking to order.

We made a big order last minute on a Friday night. Curry Leaves handled it well. The food was delicious. It was a great takeaway.

I had ordered three dishes two were good . But hugely disappointed with the egg Kothu which stinked of fish. The whole dish went waste . It looks like they had cooked with the egg Kothu fish gravy and could hardly be eaten by eggetarian . The smell was very strong .

The delivery today was awful. Food was very hot and the spice wasn’t cooked well.

This restaurant used to be good. All the dishes seem to have changed from how they were. ( maybe a chef change). But it’s not even close to how it was. Always extremely slow in getting order. Even if you sit in. I was very disappointed in the quality of food and unfortunately won’t be ordering from here any more after years of being a loyal customer.

I normally don't eat srilankan food because it comes with too spicy. Last week one of my friend recommended me to try food from this restaurant. I took one friday meal called thali. It is one of the best meal i had in london. It come with papadam, payasam and many unknown items. But it was awesome. Also comes with good quantity. I wanna try more food from there in future.

I ordered two mutton kothu roti, very blank and the food didn't look fresh at all found the smallest piece of 1or 2 mutton pieces in each kothu roti. I've dine in the restaurant before and the food is very good why is there a difference when you order for takeaway ? Owner needs to look in to this. That will be the last order from curry leaves thanks.

Just a busy day but the food was cold by the time it arrived

Very disappointed. It was over an hour from when we ordered to the delivery due time and was still late. We have had a couple of lovely meals so have given the benefit of the doubt before but it is very inconsistent and when it is bad it really is. Won’t be ordering again.

If I could give this place a negative rating then I would. The front staff was rude and unfriendly, not welcoming at all - he definitely needs some customer service training. The only good thing about the food was the mutton rolls (a starter) we ordered. The mains were absolute trash, I’m pretty sure they reheated old food (you definitely know when rice is not fresh). We were one of the first customers of the day as we went just after they opened, so that says a lot about their food standard. We let the server know that the food was inadequate that is why we hardly touched the food but he just stood there & stared at us. He definitely did not care that we were not satisfied with the meal, he just said ok and got us the bill for everything we ordered. I would never recommend this place to anyone, you’ll be leaving hungry as the food is not edible & it is an absolute waste of money!!

Rude front house staff member. Absolutely terrible food which was old. Was given the wrong food, when we addressed it, was completely ignored but food was taken away and still billed. Will never be coming back here.

Really poor food received for take out. The mutton Kothu dishes lacked flavour and the meat content was shocking. The mutton biryani was also below average. The only saving aspect were the mutton rolls. A very poor experience from what is usually a great restaurant.

Biriyani was not so great, easy cook rice used I believe but yh could be better!

For Sri Lankan food, this is the last restaurant you should go to. I don’t understand how this establishment has been around for as long as it has. The food is tasteless and the chefs clearly have no interest in maintaining a decent food standard. The prawn dish I ordered had soya and chicken in it. The food is cheap for a reason. An unbelievably disappointing experience and I will never order from here again.

We had a really delicious meal from here, fresh, tasty and good value. The meat was moist and succulent, and moreover the spices exploded in my mouth. Would highly recommend. Thanks team!
