Ordered a takeaway was terible service. Food was aweful. Avoid this place. Made a complaint but no improvement. Terrible service.

Have been using this place for many years and have always loved it, not been in a while and sorry to say we won’t be coming back. The staff were very nice and it’s very clean but the food was terrible. Everything was cold , no taste and the curry’s were very watery not nice at all.

I always order or come here when I want to eat Indian cuisine. The paneer Tikka. Is delicious. And all the food is amazing and yummy. So reasonably priced I don’t go anywhere else. Staff are lovely and friendly too. My go to place for a curry

Stopped by for a quick dinner. The staff were great and everything neatly laid out and value was immense. But I found the curries a bit insipid and dulled down and I wonder if that's a consequence of the tastes of some of the clientelle that seemed to be mostly in the Tikka Masala zone of life.

Good for couples and groups . But keep away from fake flower wall lots of tiny flies . Otherwise very pleasant . Had to bring in own alcohol.

Very good value buffet with plenty of choice - £10.99. Poppadoms, drinks and dessert were extra. The serving area was pristine and clean and each dish freshly cooked. Food quality was as good as most local Indian restaurants. There were also a range of set meals and a la carte.

Had my usual takeaway for years here, it is tasty & good value but the chicken is mainly over cooked so tough/dry & the discs can been very oily I Was VERY ill after eating this, spent most of the night in my toilet coming out from both ends. I then had to go sick from work for 2 days to recover as feeling very weak

This is one of the worst places to go to try "Indian Cuisine". As a Tamil person originating from India itself, its sad to see people think this is real authentic Indian-food, yet it lacks in the seasoning, flavour, and smell a true authentic dish would have. The butter chicken, tasting far from what it normally would, had a sense of corn and disappointment. Absolutely appalling! If you wished to spend little money for food simply does not even have a taste, I wouldn't even recommend this restaurant for how bad it really was. A nightmare truly.

This was my first experience of Princess of India and sadly it was not pleasant. I ordered a vegetable jalfrezi and was sent a chicken jalfrezi, even though the tub was labelled ‘veg jalfrezi’. Not only that but a dirty rag was sitting in between my curry and naan - disgusting! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and sent a message hoping for a response but have heard nothing. I’d be very wary about eating here.

So rocked up on a thursday evening. Staff were efficient and pleasant, in reality your coming for the buffet theres not loads for them to do for you, I was asked what drink I wanted==large coke £2.95 good price and popadoms== 50p plus chuntney tray, quite good too. All three arrived swiftly and the classic words...go up to the buffett whenever you wish. So the buffet, I cant really complain, I guess when somthing is known for being a great price your looking for pitfalls, things that should be better but to be honest it was all fairly good. Couple of dishes could have been slightly warmer but most of was a good temp. Staff kept topping the buffet up and the food that came out was hot. The sagg aloo was a stand out and the lamb dish wasnt bad either. So its rare to find a indian buffet operating 7 days a week, the price was good and I got what I felt a great range of food to eat.

Have been 3 times - the £9.99 all-you-can-eat offer struck me as decent value for money: lamb, beef, chicken, prawns, a good selection of hot'n'cold veg., the ability to bring your own booze ... the staff were perfectly agreable, and changed the hot dishes swiftly.

I found out about this restaurant from a YouTube review and thought I’d give it a try tonight. I read some reviews prior to leaving which were not all that positive but didn’t let it deter me. I really should’ve taken them on board. I would describe the food as edible at best. Many of the dishes were just above cold and when some new Tandoori chicken arrived, I asked whether they were hot to be told they were medium. That was my first, and will be my last visit to this place. If I were you, I would swerve this place and move onto the next !

When we got here all seemed fine But then we encountered the staff. Oh, what a miserable bunch of people It was as if they did not want to there Looking down there noses at the customers So ignorant, I had to tell one of them to walk away and don’t talk to me We asked one of them to clear the plates, but he just walked off so I put them on the empty table next to us and then he gives me a dirty look no new cutlery turned up all the staff chatting at the bar area so I took a knive and fork off another empty table to be told off He should be instantly sacked With his attitude, I don’t think you will ever succeed Getting on to the food was okay if you like stone cold food

It was my first time here and on arrival I was impressed as it’s a pretty big curry house. We had booked a table and it was about a quarter full. We were seated in the furthest table in the corner but just assumed the other tables were booked. We were begrudgingly asked what soft drinks we wanted and how many poppadoms. The waiter was abrupt but again we assumed he was just busy. The poppadoms arrived within minutes and then the we had ‘the wait’! There were at least 3-4 people working and probably 90% of the restaurant were eating the buffet. We waited at least 30 minutes before finally asking if we could make our order. The waiter was rude and abrupt when taking our order and we realised clearly this was their way in here. Our food finally turned up and was very tasty so on that front absolutely no complaints. However the terrible service and rude and abrupt waiters mean I will probably never go out of my way to visit again

A great place to eat, have used it for years. It has been a real favourite of our Aunts, Uncle and cousin too, and we've all met up there for Sunday lunches many times. Since covid, Aunts and Uncle and cousin have been having their Sunday lunches delivered by Princess of India instead of going in to the restaurant, a much appreciated service. The staff have always been lovely, and the food very good. We had our son's 21st birthday party there fourteen years ago, that's how long we've been using them!

I visited the Indian Princess after my friend recommended the buffet. It was very tasty with a good variety of dishes and great value for money. The staff were friendly. No alcohol is served so we had sodas. Recommended.

This was our first experience ordering takeaway from Princess of India and I can comfortably say, our last. The samosas were small, tasteless and were quite greasy. The puri bread (came with our King Prawn Puri) came wrapped in foil on top of the prawn sauce in a single container, this did not seem very hygienic. On top of that, the bread was doughy and soaked in grease. If the tandoori chicken was any drier it would have been desiccated. The mixed biryani was bland as was the sauce. My other half's naan was burnt. Unfortunately, most of the food ended up going into the bin.

Ordered a takeaway via Uber Eats and what can I say as soon as it came I opened the container the tandoori prawns looked dry and when I tasted it they tasted stale like they had been previously cooked. They tasted reheated they were dry and tasted old. The whole thing went in the bin. Disgusting to send food out I wouldn’t even serve my cat. That’s £15 down the pan.

Princess of India deliveries go up and down like a yo yo in quality. One week excellent. Recently, ghastly and positively swimming in an inch thick of oil which we had to remove with kitchen towel before venturing beneath to see what was there. Sadly there are too many Indian deliveries in the area that are consistently good. So our Princess of India menu has now been cast in the bin.

We order here all the time the delivery tonight was very poor we ordered lamb rogan josh there was no meat in it and the biriyani also had no meat in it it was all just vegetarian very poor for £32 wont be going here again.

I love Indian food. Usually wherever I go, the food is delicious and has a decent size. However, I must say, that this restaurant is one of the best I've ever eaten food from. My favourite is Jalfrezi Chicken served with Naan. The quality and the price of the food is just perfect. Any starter is yummy. You dont need to be afraid of picking up an inedible dish. I am a regular customer of Princess of India.

Have a takeaway from here when I go over to the in-laws as it’s there local, have to say it’s quite nice considering how cheap it is, and I’m quite fussy but I have the same curry every time a Balti chilli chicken masala and it’s nice and hot just how I like it, so give it a try

flavorless food on the cheap, I ordered the lamb tikka madras. no flavour and no spice tasted like lamb in tomato soup, if you fed this food to someone from India they would punch you. and when you complain they put the phone down on you! Avoid, maybe try a place that didn't used to be all you can eat restaurant

One of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. Filled with inexperienced waiters (who are used to a buffet self service style restaurant ) that have only ever done plate collection. The price of a buffet meal is the exact quality of the food you will receive. 8.99 is the cost of your stomach and your pride as you eat here. You get what you pay for is a statement that I have never seen truer since visiting this place. The waiters do not give a hoot (swap for worse word) and when you try to ask a question or ask for a service , they come and answer the first question and as you carry on talking they walk away. They avert their eyes as you look to even pay the bill or ask for the bill. They do not even provide serviettes and they clearly show their nonchalant attitude and their clearly inept display of skills parallels the companies lack of care for any patrons. Do not visit. You will also have a lot of toilet roll expenses for the next two days. Enjoy at your risk.

Wow what can I say, I’ve had a lot of Indian takeaways and eaten in a lot of restaurants but I love this place. The food is the best by far, curries are always fresh and soo tasty, staff are amazingly friendly and service is brill

For £7.99, it’s more than fine.We turned up as a family of 7 with no booking and was seating straight away . The staff almost couldn’t do enough to seat us. We had a fussy two year old who was accommodated to; chips, ketchup and nuggets and all apart of the child buffet price. Buffet is small in size, however this is constantly refreshed. Here you will find Naan, pakoras, Biriyani, tandoori chicken , saag aloo , Korma and many other well known and loved dishes. Drinks are also very cheap and soft drinks are served by the pint. Not vegan friendly ❌Sufficient for a vegetarian ✅

Average food with low price. Quality is not that great obviously as prices are cheap and eat as much as you want. Some of the staff not great English speakers so need to repeat yourself twice in some occasions. Slightly salty and high fatty food was my reason not to go there again. You can park outside or at back of the restaurant where you have access to a big public car park.

Love this place, I will continue to go back forever. Great value for money and absolutely delicious food! Selection on the buffet is perfect, London needs more places like this!

We recently moved to Morden and we decided to have dinner at this restaurant as we had seen many people at this restaurant. The food was bland and lacked flavour. Far too many onions in each curry with a lack of actual meat / vegetables. The curry sauce itself tasted like it was from a sauce bottle found in a supermarket. I understand the prices are cheap but there is a limit to lowering standards to match the price.The customer service was horrible and while serving the customers they would speak in their own language. This is exceptionally rude as they could easily be gossiping about fellow customers.I do not understand the good reviews being put up on Trip Advisor regarding this restaurant as it is the furthest thing from it!Avoid this restaurant at ALL costs.

Having made a reservation, we arrived on time to be greeted at the door by a waiter who appeared to be quite stressed and not at all happy to see us. When we attempted to introduce ourselves and inform him that we had a reservation his response was to repeatedly shout "How many, how many?" He then abruptly shouted that there were no tables available and that we would have to stand and wait.When a table did become available, we sat down and after he had thrown the cuttlery on the table he took our drinks order, still shouting and being rude to us.The food was served buffet style and was actually pretty good and we would probably have enjoyed our evening had it not been for the rude, bald waiter.The restaurant was full so a lot of people must like it but I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

Visited last Sunday 15/9 wing family yet again everything was great from the moment we walked in till we left and my grandson who has nut allergy was not only told but shown what he could and could not eat,but the star of the show as always is the food.

I'd not been there for ages but visited with a friend on 11th for dinner. We came in soon after 5.00 when it opens as I recall that it filled up quickly. But we were in luck this time, we were probably the first guests and it wasn't full even when we left around 7.30 (we'd planned an early evening meal). Had the buffet and a salti lassi each and I also had orange juice and ice.

Buffe rules, not a wide choice but tastes very good and good deal. Good parking and super cold draft Coooobra beer.

I have been coming here for several years and love the food. There’s a great manager who is kind and polite. You will see him wearing a shirt and tie. The service have improved a lot recently. Unfortunately one of the waiter does let the side down by racing around, slamming cutleries and items on the tables making it quite uncomfortable for customers. This is especially the case when the manager is not present. The food is very good and reasonably priced but watch out for the rude waiter who you can easily identify unless if he has improve his behaviour. It is quite entertaining how he can get away with it until it’s your table that he slams things down on it!

Went to the Princess Of India on the 23rd May with 3 friends. We all opted for the buffet at a bargain price of £7.99 each. This restaurant doesn't fail to impress offering over 25 dishes to choose from. Well worth visiting.

I love this place! Great food and service. We also use the takeaway service. Fabulous food at a great price. My daughter is vegetarian and there is a wide selection available for her. Everyone's happy!

I was here on Friday night with my partner (he loves a buffet). The price of the buffet was cheap (£7.99) and so was the beer.

Went to the Princess Of India yesterday for dinner. 2 of us. We opted to have some poppadoms, which came with mint sauce, onion salad, mango chutney & a tomato chutney. Then we tucked into the unlimited buffet, which must have had at least 25 dishes to choose from, for a really great price of £7.99 each & ordered a nice cold Cobra beer to share. Plenty of tasty choices. No wonder the place was packed, as so many people know a bargain when they see one. Recommended.

Been here quite a few times and always get a really good, tasty curry. Great selection of dishes including vegetarian. Always go for the eat as much as you want buffet. Never been disappointed. Can get a little busy later in the evening but worth the wait.

We came here for my mum's birthday and were really impressed with the quality of the food as well as the service. We had the buffet and it was delicious, and after learning that it was my mum's birthday the waiter played happy birthday and brought out a flaming sambuca shot - legends! Would 100% come back.

This restaurant is always busy serving a great value tasty buffet that is always fully stocked with a wide variety of fantastic food. The staff are amazing in everything they do and go above the call of duty. Never had a bad experience here and will continue to come. Amazing value.

My family and I regularly order a takeaway from here. Their food is high quality and delicious at very reasonable prices. My husband made a special request for garlic chicken which they don’t normally do but they made it especially for us and it was so yummy! We were really pleased.

Family of 13 came for a birthday. Restaurant is absolutely packed and was all evening - never an empty table. I would recommend booking, especially on the weekend. The food was amazing - I will admit I am not a huge eater of Indian food and so I am no expert but everything I ate was hot (temperature!) and tasted really nice. The staff were friendly, and the prices are incredible too - I think a pint is about £3. My cocktail was a bit strong but curry houses are hardly known for their cocktails! Would come here again.

Had a takeaway from what used to be a great restaurant. Naan bread was burnt, lamb over cooked and stringy and some dishes tasted sour. Also there was little meat in any of them. Yuk. Met up with a friend who also had a takeaway and said exactly the same. Such a shame as it used to be excellent. Now looking for alternative place to get our curry from. Not great for them as we always ordered for 12 people!!

Visited Princess of India after finding it online and have visited a few times since. Food selection and quality is very good for the price. The service depends on what time you visit, 5pm and you have their attention, any time after 6.30pm and you have no chance. We have also had a delivery from here which we could not fault. Overall, this restaurant does what it says on the tin and gives very good value for money!

We visited as a family and we're pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the fair level of services. Staff was generally friendly. The food was very good, although I was taken by surprise to see sweet "tikka masala chicken",did not have a chance to ask if that's the norm or just the chefs creativity.

My family and I have been ordering from Princess of India in Morden for around 5+ years. Lately they are awful. Food is always good however the attitude of the staff is nothing less thank disgusting. Rude. Arrogant. And dismissive. Our food is late every time. Tonight we ordered at 6:02pm, delivery claiming to arrive by 6:45pm. It is now 7:28pm and the food still has not arrived. Upon calling the restaurant the man who answered was utterly awful. I’ve never come across such rotten service and a disgusting attitude in all my life. No apology. Just dismissed us and put the phone down. We are currently STILL waiting for it.

I went here with my partner a few weeks ago, we thought to give it another go since our last was not so great.

I used to use this restaurant for eat in or takeaway. The last couple of times I’ve had a meal from there 1eat in 1 takeaway they were both awful. I’m sorry to say but I won’t be going back.

Cheap (eat all you like), reasonable amount of choice, friendly staff, not much else to say really. *TIP* get there early, preferably when they open, food is fresh & hot, & don't eat to much rice/potatoes/bread ;)

The chicken Tikka masala was much more sweet than I'm used to. No spice at all. I didn't enjoy it much. The portions were huge though. Nice that they delivered for free.

The resturant was packed for a Tuesday night. We had a birthday party most ate from the buffet. I ate from the menu as I'm lactose intolerant. I had a prawn buna which was absolutely divine! Service was very food good was yummy. And very reasonable priced! Would highly recommended.

I ordered a takeaway for two kebab starters, a side and a paratha. I called to place my order, the man taking my order kept getting my postcode wrong so he couldn't get the right delivery address, when he finally did he took my order. I made it very clear on the phone to him I wanted two mint sauces and two salads with my order, as there are two kebabs. I even let him read it back to me on the phone which confirmed that that is what I ordered. My order came within 45 mins. My order included 4 salads and 1 mint sauce as well as complimentary popadoms. I called back to tell them that they missed the mint sauce, he assured me it would be a couple of mins. I could not eat the food without it, so I waited. It took 15 mins so I called back and I told him the food is cold and manager said to me "what am I meant to do about it? Warm it in the microwave." (The kebab has egg and salad on it.. if I put it in the microwave that would be disgusting ) Terrible customer service and I was treated as if it was my felt for their error.

Princess of India is perfect when you are hungry and want a cheap dinner at the same time. The food is not what you would get in other Indian restaurants and the quality isn't as great however, it always fills me up well and I do enjoy it. Sometimes I do find that some things are too oily but other than that it's a decent place to eat.The staff are so lovely and they make the experience a good one.

Went to celebrate a birthday and found a vibrant bustling restaurant on our arrival. However, seated quickly and served drinks and poppodoms / onion salad and dips almost immediately. Went up for the buffet to find a good range of piping hot dishes, including rice and naan bread all ready to eat. Nicely spiced, and flavourful. Polite and attentive staff followed up by a selection of refreshing deserts. Well priced and free parking in car park at back of parade meant all in all a great experience. Well worth a visit.
