Attended for dinner 10th January 2025. service and meal was good. at about 1 A.M 11th January 2025, I Had D & V Followed by a cold sweat, classic result of ingesting Gluten. I have been to this restaurant before and had no adverse reaction on my previous visit. I contend there was cross contamination in the preparation of the Parhtha . either in the area of prepration or contamination in the gram flower itself. this has put me off going again.

Used to come here many year's ago and my family come here all the time, well used too now!!! Staff are decidedly aloof, disinterested, unfriendly and moody and everything seems too much to ask! On top of this they add a service charge in the middle of the bill as if trying to hide it. It's a pity and can only presume it has changed hands over the years. Food was nice but staff and the deceit at adding service charge means we will not return and have advised our friends and family whom all live in Beddington and Wallington to instead look elsewhere where our custom is appreiciated,,,Akash in Wallington or Blue Bengal we are always made to feel welcome. Asif just cannot be bothered!

Always has a really nice atmosphere in the venue and fast delivery for take-away options. Food is excellent and service is exceptional.

Just had a meal at Rupees in Shirley. Very friendly restaurant run by Roger and Ray. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the service was excellent. The two guys who run it are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Will define going back there soon.

Okay, first of all when we visited in January I didn’t have a chance to take my coat off because this place was absolutely freezing and the AC doesn’t work. Service is a bit hit or miss but it acceptable enough . Parking is an absolute nightmare so I would say plan your visit accordingly because you cannot park outside or nearby, especially if it’s a busy night. This place does need a really good clean though. They have many bearers on draft, Kingfisher and Cobra, which is always nice to see. Onto a positive note: the food here was incredible, even though the orders came out wrong and some of the food wasn’t available I.e., Fish tikka and masala mogo, what we did get was very very well cooked and I will definitely go back here but…in the warmer months. The food here (FYI) is overwhelmingly Gujarati in cuisine .

This was my favourite Indian Restaurant. It did not serve the standard food that all the other ones do - the food was distinctive and tasty. notice that I used the past tense. It has now gone - the hast time I tried to go was late 2023 and it was closed and boarded. Very sad.

I drove to the take-away ordered & waited for my order which was only a Chicken Vindaloo & Keema Nan Bread. The food was cooked very quickly & I drove straight home . The curry lacked any spice really , I almost think I got given the wrong dish ? The nan was OK & had some lamb in it & was larger than expected.

Not a very good experience about the food. Staff were exceptionally polite and good. We ordered some food specially chicken biryani, masala dosa and some starters. My feedback about the dosa is good, crispy and delicious. However, when the biryani were served hot, no fork and knife were given for couple of minutes. Even after requesting for knife and fork to the owner (I guess), he gave us Spoons and Forks, no Knives. It was hard to cut chicken with fork and spoon, but gave a try. The chicken pieces in Biryani were with skin and bone. Generally people expect skinless and boneless chicken though. there were no salt and pepper on the table. My constructive feedback will be: 1) Replace your chicken with boneless chicken breast if possible 2) Ask your chef if he can review the salt in his recipe 3)Always place salt and pepper in the table 4) Salad option Thank you!

this was okay i suppose, nothing special to be honest and wouldnt recommend to come here, i wont be coming back again.
