We’ve been going here for years but this time the food wasn’t quite right, and something about it didn’t taste Indian. The lamb biryani was good, but the chicken jalfrezi tasted like a Chinese sweet and sour dish, and the bhindi bhaji came in a thick and sticky sauce instead of being dry-fried like we’re used to.

Arrived on time. But did not taste the same. I have never had a orange Korma did not taste like before. I also had some vegetable samosa very bland no flavour 😕. Onion salad not cut fine enough too chunky. No tomato just red onion, and cucumber. No coriander I have had much better.

We waited 85 mins for a delivery that was meant to be 30. The quality of food has definitely decreased since the change of hands... prices have increased massively. How can a veg biryani be worth 8.99.....its veg and rice for goodness sake. Portion size has decreased by 1/3. We will not order with this restaurant again.

Does anyone know if they’ve recently changed owners? This use to be our go to but now definitely won’t be. Took much longer than promised to arrived. Then when it did arrive part of our order didn’t come, called them they said they would drop it back off. 45 minutes after receiving our order the other parts came. Also found hairs in my korma. Called them to let them know, not one apology, only to drop it back so they could re make it and then re deliver it🤦🏻‍♀️ ridiculous place

Absolutely disgusted in the way I was just treated, I called and was hung up on, we will not be coming back to your restaurant and I strongly urge others to AVOID unless you want to be disrespected or treated rudely. I got as far as saying where I was calling from then the phone went down, no sorry we cant take the call right now , no explanation ! just hung up, when I called back to see if there had been a fault I was greeted with distain and told phone back when manager here then hung up on again. its a shame as I have had a nice meal from here and would usually recommend if someone asked but now I will be actively telling people to avoid like the plague. manners are free and go a long way please retrain your staff.

Used to be a really good takeaway but it has recently changed hands. We had an awful takeaway, bland food and items wrong. We phoned to complain and they said they would ring us back but no surprise they didn't. Because they were so good in the past we thought we would give them another try. Big mistake food horrible, bland and again items missing. Phoned for a refund but nothing forthcoming. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered fried noodles and it tastes exactly like in Mauritius. Friendly service, decent price. Will be going back.

What has happened? Used you for over 10 years and always thought you read the best, the food I got tonight for 6 people was terrible, naan bread undercooked could not tell the difference between a plain naan garlic or peshwari naan!! Currys tasted so sweet no spice, sag a loo looked awful didn't even try it... I'm gutted, you used to be the best Indian takeaway around... Not anymore

I would recommend everyone to try the new management food, the biryani is very tasty, love the chicken karahi and jalfrezi. I ordered £126 food for a family get together, they gave us free sauce free popodom. New management is a must try very friendly staff

Mother's Day ruined !! Ordered for a family of 5. Chicken biryani x 3 absolutely vile, chicken on the bone absolutely loaded with spices and tasted more like Jamaican food. Madras had no flavour or heat and Keema nan was similar to a burnt pancake with no sign of any meat. Beware this takeaway is under new management and chef is not an Indian chef but Chinese. Have used for over 20 years and will never use again.

We did order from this T/A shop many times and it’s getting worst especially this time, we spent over £40 to get what we not expect to get it from their standards. It’s seem like they got a new chef. Most Food so plain - no taste, one of them like pour out all bag of sugar in one dish. Very disappointed.

Ordered through deliveroo and they accepted the order as clearly deliveroo had them down as opened on the tablet. After waiting for over 40 mins I phoned them and they picked up to say they are closed. They didn’t process order and blamed deliveroo and when I called deliveroo they blame the restaurant. Was looking forward to a take away and should have stuck to old fashioned way of ordering with restaurants that have their own drivers without these modern apps and companies . This restaurant is rubbish don’t even bother with them. Both parties want to blame each other and no one takes responsibility for me paying getting no food and now having the trouble of a refund.

Just ordered 5 meals with appetisers,wow amazing. Food arrived earlier than expected,food was hot,everybody enjoyed their meals.I will be ordering from this resturant again,highly reccomend.

Delicious Indian food - I didn't know half the names of what I was eating (set meal for 4), but it was very tasty! The set menus are pricey - but you get your money's worth with generous portions, which leave you very full. If you want an Indian meal - look no further :) (plus - they do give you discounts for repeat business!)

My first visit here today and got shocked With their Naan bread price. 3 Naan for £7.35 for a take away. I wouldn’t mind paying for a fine dinning Resturant but for a tinny local takeaway no way. Ripping off local customers. Definitely never going back here

Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. This is my absolute favorite takeaway in Coulsdon. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! My favourites are Nihari chicken and Lebu murgh. highly recommend.

I have been picking up take out from this place for a few months now and love the food, the taste, quality of ingredients and the fantastic guys who run the kitchen and front of house. I normally ask for recommendations from the people who work there to get the best of mine and their choice, firstly they get the basics spot on, mango, mint and lime pickle all spot on along with the nans, had garlic, pashwari And keema, all lovely with the keema particularly good, my personal favourite is the lamb tikka and mixed kebab, if you like the spice then the jalejul gives you flavourful curry with a huge kick if you like your nagah, if not soo spicy maybe without the nagah! also absolutely loved the railway special and the mixed shashlick, my missus like the standard chicken korma and rates this one highly. I went a bit rouge and got a hot and sour king prawn curry recommended which was really tasty which is a little out of the ordinary for me but glad I went for the choice... all this paired with an innis and gun mango ipa reminiscent of a lasse.

We have been a regular costumer, we have ordered today following a long journey coming back from holiday as this was our favourite Indian restaurant. How disappointed we were to find out via Just Eat app that our food will be delayed another hour when we have already waited an hour and a half for the delivery! Finely when the new delivery time was up we still have not received an order! We have called the restaurant and they guy was so uniformed......he said he received a cancellation from Just Eat, they were very busy and it was far away delivery! In the end we have never received our delivery and I must say we have been very frustrated hungry costumers! Not going to order from them ever again, there are better businesses that deserve 5 stars for their service, quality of food and responsiveness!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Absolutely shocking customer service, my food never arrived after waiting 2 hours. Made a order through Just Eat and then chased it after it showed as delivered when it hadn't been. Staff were rude and shouting at me telling me I had called to cancel. AVOID!!!

Lovely curry, Lamb tikka jalfrezi, great pieces of lamb, nice chunks of onion, tomato and pepper.. Chicken naga pathia was stunning. Great flavours, breads were great.

Waited for 1 hr 20 minutes despite an estimated delivery time of 45 minutes at the time of order. When I called, they didn’t seem to care, just said they were busy. When the food came.....bland, prawns that weren’t fresh, daal that was basically yellow water and then hunt the ‘chicken’ biryani. Never again!

Really awful and a huge rip-off.

Ordered a few times,but this place has gone downhill, I didn't order from here for a while and was hungry,so I thought I would give it another go. But food was stone cold and was disgusting, the stuffed paratha was burnt,so couldn't eat it. I called to complain but the manager was very rude and sarcastic and told me not to order anymore. AVOID!!! I will definitely not be poor service.

Lost my order so had to wait. Got home to find a carton of red water with hardly any meat, then when eating found 5 black hairs in my food!!! (I do not have black hair). Chicken was underdone so threw it away and called them. Said they can’t do anything now and want they’re food back if it is so bad with proof it’s underdone and there are hairs init, then hung up!Steer clear of these

We used to use this regularly but gave up after a few poor offerings.We Ordered to pick up and I was kept waiting. Madras,Balti and tikka masala, all were lacking spice and we were a nan short. Never again.

I am an Indian and I have order a take away ,the most tasteless food that I have tasted Why this restaurant people say Indian food this nothing like Indian food .Pre cooked meat and seafood served in a hot sauce with pool of oil .I will never go there again disappointed evening for us

I stumbled across this place on just eat and thought I’d give it a try, I’m so glad I did!I’ve ordered from them a few times now and I’ve been delighted with the food.The lamb vindaloo was especially good and their naan breads are delicious.I look forward to trying some other items in the menu soon.Thanks

Top marks for this place. Not sure why it has a few 1 stars. Nearly put me off from ordering. However gave it a try and it was on point. I am around this area next week, so I shall give it another try. The Jalfrezy is my favourite. Nice and spicy The staff were very welcoming and we had a good chat whilst i was waiting for my order

What a a joke of a place! Over 1.5 hours wait when they claim delivery within 45 mins. They advertised 10% off through the OCRA magazine but the discount code does not work. First and last time order at this place.

disgusting, food is drenched in greasy oil, items missing, small order and got the order wrong on a quiet weekday. this place used to be the best place to get a curry from but now it seems change of ownership has lead to terrible service and food quality taking a massive dive

We have been getting a curry every week for years now, it was always good, the one thing was in it wasn't full of off putting oil. Yesterday we noticed the curry was completely different, the sag paneer was saturated in oil, and the garlic was over powering in all dishes. We live in Westerham and travel to get their curry because it was so good. Yesterday we were Dissapointed and unhappy with the change as its not for the better.

Was very disappointed with the food especially as this is one of our local take-aways. The lamb was really chewy and the chicken tikka was tasteless. I feel that as the restaurant was busy they cooked the food far too quickly at a high temperature. The lamb should have been nice and tender. The food was more expensive than other take-aways. We won't be ordering from there again.

Food was hot and well cooked. Authentic and aromatic. Had chicken korma. Very yummy, good sized chicken pieces and lovely thick sauce. Delivery on time courteous and well mannered. Great price. Well worth a go. Had it twice now. Will have again. I am going to work my way through the menu!!

We love India brasserie and have been using them for years. Recently however they are so busy that service has gone down hugely. Almost every takeaway we’ve had recently they’ve forgotten something - a nan, a poppadom, the yoghurt mint sauce and other bits and pieces. So disappointing.

We always use the Indian Brasserie if are having Indian. Food is delicious and arrives hot! Will continue to keep using!

We LOOVE this food. Just polished off another take away! We were new to the area and recommended by our local friend. Excellent service and food is so so tasty EVERY time. We do wish we could order a large rice but I guess we can settle to order two instead. VERY HAPPY. We did try other places to but nothing no compared!! We will order here every time without fail.

We tried this indian take out after a terrible first experience the first time a year ago, the meal was terrible, Chicken madras, prawn vindaloo, mushroom rice, Keema nan, all of it was horrible, never again will we use this place, the mushroom rice was like sick, portion's where very poor, madras had 3 bit's of chicken, vindaloo had 7 prawn's, nan bread was wet, never again, i do not recommend this place to use.

After a long wait food arrived and a dish was missing, called the restaurant and they argued I never ordered the dish! Two people heard me order... customer service is awful.

Ordered curry on a Saturday evening and they still delivered the food 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Food was good. Will be calling these people again.

I’ve been searching for a great Indian takeaway near me since I moved to the area 4 years ago and after reading other reviews on trip advisor I decided to try it out. I’m so glad I did as it’s by far the best takeaway I’ve had from the area. The food arrived promptly. Was extremely hot (temperature ) and fresh. The reviews didn’t fail to disappoint. I would highly recommend trying it if you are thinking about trying somewhere new.

We ordered our first takeaway from Indian Brasserie today and the food was excellent. Food arrived quickly was hot with lots of lovely flavours, fresh not greasy & good value as far as Indian takeaways go. Will definitely change from our usual Indian and use again. Enjoyed so much that we called up the restaurant to thank them for such great food which is a first!

Worst ever Indian food I've tased. Dishes are really sweet (full of sugar) and no where close to an authentic Indian cuisine. Service was really quick & spot on however food was a big disappointment. Do yourself a big favour and do not order if you are after anything close to Indian cuisine.

Tried Indian Brasserie after hearing good things about the quality of the food,I was not disappointed. Good quality ingredients reflects the overall standards achieved by this takeaway restaurant. Very very busy, at times, so my advice is to order in advance but even if you have to wait it is worth it, far superior to most of the so so takeaways in the area and excellent value for money. Try I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Definitely the best Indian takeaway in Coulsdon and the surrounding area. Chicken Dhansak was excellent..in fact the best I have ever tasted. Give this takeaway a try..you will not be disappointed.

What a terrible place to buy a curry, i had a Vindaloo, my wife had a prawn korma, plus side dishe's, it cost £30, i sent the food back but getting a refund was so difficult, the staff where very rude, we will not be back.

Ordered from the set menu a set meal 2. With extra naan and rice, plenty of food fed both me and my wife and both our kids who are 4&7, lots of different curries and sides, lots of diifferent little bits of starters including chicken tikka and sheek kebab that was garnished in grilled onion and herbs, the mint sauce and onion salad that comes with the popadoms was fantastic. The food arrived piping hot, Delivery driver was very polite and friendly. Would order again next time

As usual, the food arrived a little earlier than their projected time and was piping hot. The chicken dhansak is always a favourite, as is the tarka dahl. The portions are of a good size and always taste fresh. Would thoroughly recommend the Brasserie.
