The best restaurants serving Indian food in Bassetlaw East Midlands

We really enjoyed our meal at Jhinook. I had a mixed kebab to start which was tasty. My main was a chicken naga, the chicken was super tender and the curry was good and spicy. Service was friendly and fast. The meal was good value.

Date night. Food order taken before drinks. Pickle tray awful. Staff stare at you while you eat. Took 20 minutes to get the bill. Not returning.

First visit with a group of 22 on a week day evening. Firstly the welcome was very warm and the staff very helpful. I’m gluten free and had no problem ordering with lots of choices. Can particularly recommend the onion bahjis which were delicious and very fresh. The service was very organised for such a large group and all the meals came out at the same time. Top up drinks orders were also checked regularly. I can recommend this independently run family business. Will definitely be returning

Love this place, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful they have a lot of knowledge about their food. The food is delicious we have worked our way through the menu but our favourite is Kochi 😋we have never had a bad meal and never had to complain about anything. We enjoy a chat and a laugh with all the staff great bunch.

Consistently high quality food, made and served by friendly staff. Varied range of dishes that never disappoint. Best in Retford.

The best attentive staff, it’s like visiting old friends. Excellent food! I’m vegan and they prepared a special dish. Massive portions. I know they do takeaway but if always want to dine in as it’s not far off perfect!

Great fresh food, excellent service. I love unique and different styles of Indian rather than your usual norm. We tried the sharing platter starter and I have the lamb madras thali. Very good.

Having been a regular user with no complaints, I find myself making one. Phoned tonight at 7.11pm, was told up to 1hr. That's ok, it's happened before. Now at 9.15pm, and numerous attempts to phone, with no answer. It is assumed that the meal will not turn up. So left message on the mobile number. Will not use Cumin again You'll never guess. 15mins after this review, my meal was delivered. So, please ignore previous comment above, as it is very very rare that the time has exceeded beyond that which is acceptable. Quality of the food was to the normal high standard. I did point out to the driver of the comments that had been put on here. So, the previous paragraph should be ignored

I live alone & have throat cancer so not only do I have to pay £3 delivery charges inwhich I'm only 1.5 miles away but have to spend other £15 as well, think this is extreme racism as they should be no fixed limit

Lovely meal as always, the special menu on Tuesdays is such good value at £15 per person

We ate there on a Monday evening, which is apparently their quiet night We really enjoyed our meal, Excelent food, excellent staff.

We never have a bad takeaway from here. Food is always hot, tasty and normally super quick. Their timings are spot on. Delivery drivers are friendly too.
