Maharaj Indian Restaurant in Bassetlaw

Was excited to try as we’d heard good things about it. What a let down, really poor quality Indian food with very little taste. Part of the order missing which was blamed on the waitress even though we told the manager/chef that she’d taken the Irene down correctly so wasn’t her fault and then an extra £30 stuck on the bill for drinks that were not ours. Won’t be going back.

La primera vez que pedí desde aquí, la comida llegó media hora tarde, pero eso estaba bien no le importó. Solo hacía calor cuando cocinamos así que tuvimos que meter un poco en el microondas, pero de nuevo vivimos a unos 15 minutos, así que aceptamos esto. Cordero Rogan josh estaba bien, el cordero no era tan suave como podría haber sido, pero los sabores eran buenos, bhajas de cebolla eran buenos, arroz con champiñones era encantador, el pollo tikka masala era completamente comestible, no sé qué pasó, pero sabía como si tuviera una olla llena de sal vertida en ella, no sé si alguien se había resbalado al agregar sal, pero era ridículo lo salado que era simplemente no podíamos comerlo en absoluto. Es una lástima ya que se veía muy apetitoso. Tan decepcionado

Visited with son and partner as they have just moved to the area. We live near Oxford and have a favourite Indian restaurant that for us no other has been able to beat…. Until now! Simply amazing food. Hot, good quality and lots of different flavours. Staff very attentive. Knowledgeable with suggestions of dish choices even bringing out a small dish of paneer for us to try. Good value for money. Really can’t fault. I have a feeling my son will become a regular visitor and we will certainly return when we next visit!

Absolutely delicious as always! Will be ordering again :)
