What can I say? The staff at Bombay Spice could do enough for my wife, two kids and me. From the moment we stepped in, their warm welcome set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Good fodd, great value and excellent service. The waiter was attentive, helpful and funny🤣. Food was good, we had a wide variety of dishes from chefs specials to traditional. We will certainly be going again.

The best Indian restaurant in the area been using for a few years now but the recent improvements have now made this the best, if you like authentic Indian food give a try the restaurant is superb Service is excellent run by Mo,our party of six all enjoyed it. Sit in or takeaway you won’t be disappointed highly recommended.

Our food took well over 2.5 hours to arrive on a Saturday night. Kept promising ‘it’s on the way’ until eventually they admitted they hadn’t made it after chasing for the last time.

Waited upon by a handsome, charming, polite approachable and professional young man called Mo whose knowledge of the cuisine was second to none. We have used this business regularly, both takeaway and visiting the restaurant and have loved it for a long time. Authentic dishes, good delivery times, the restaurant is a little dark and dated, but service very good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately we have noticed a decline in the food quality. The onion Bhajis (a favourite) have been over cooked, bordering on inedible on the last two occasions, and far too many cardamom pods left in the dupiaza, not pleasant on the palette or tongue! I hope this is just a blip as every other dish we have had has been beautiful!

Just visited Bombay Spice for a family birthday celebration and really cannot recommend enough! The food was delicious and amazing value as we had the set meal deal that is offered on a Tuesday - £15 for poppadoms & pickle tray, starter, main, side and a drink! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, assisting with choices, they even went above and beyond to offer suitable vegan alternatives so ensure we were all catered for. Will definitely be returning very soon!

Just moved in to the village and have been 2 weeks running, both times wonderful food and service. Agreed they're the best naan breads we've ever had and they do our favourite curry which not all Indians do. We got stuck public transport wise last night and even though they were busy they actually drove us home because my 80 year old mum couldn't have walked Long Lane. Is that amazing customer focus or what? 100% recommend!

Ordered from Just Eat. When they came to deliver, sadly, someone outside our household had claimed the food as theirs and therefore we did not receive the order. The restaurant was kind and reasonable with us and redelivered the order. Food was great when it got here. 10/10 for the staff we dealt with and the delivery driver. Class acts

We had a meal in the restaurant, staff were friendly and helpful, food was really good. Only criticism was that, once we had finished our main course, the waiter brought the bill........we hadn't been asked if we would like a dessert or coffee/tea. Strange, as the place was quiet, and it was still early. It felt like we were expected to leave. Bit of a shame, as I would like to have given 5 stars, but this took the edge off the meal.

I am disabled, little hard, going, but staff helped. Food was explained re ingredients. Food was fantastic. Enjoyed our evening, prices very reasonable. Overall staff very friendly. Needs a little work, to encourage more wheelchair guests.

I shall not be using this restaurant again , absolutely disgusting .. I ordered my food ..and was told to collect it ,rather than have it delivered ,which I wasn't keen on doing ..the ill mannered chap on the desk said I had not bought enough to get free delivery , so I ordered a pickle tray which brought it to £15.90 so hay ho free delivery .. When it arrived they had charged me £21.. It's 2.1 miles from my house to the bombay spice They delivery lady kept my receipt to check it for me , but never got back to me . I have used this restaurant weekly for a couple of years .. This is the second time I have been ripped off And I think they ought to teach the bloke on reception some manners on how to speak to customers . J layden, langold

Had takeaways in the past but decided to eat in for a change. Under new management and found the staff to be attentive, helpful and professional. The food was amazing, even better than the takeaways we have had previously. We were given a free starter to try alongside the ones we ordered. Definitely recommend and we will return soon.

Not sure when this restaurant changed hands but the food is Definately nicer and made with finer ingredients - although we haven’t actually dined in since the takeover of ownership we have had several take aways and they have been excellent - a huge improvement on the naans too !!! The free onion bhajis on online orders over £20 is a nice touch also !!!! Keep up the good work 👍

me and my partner booked a table for new year’s eve as our usual curry house was fully booked up. As we arrived there was not a greeting from any of the staff and was stood there quite a while until someone approached us, my partner said we had a booking for a table which we was meant to be seated at 10 minutes ago which his reply was to take a seat in the bar area. I can appreciate that it was new year’s eve and they probably was busier than normal but to have no explanation given to us and quite frankly it was like the staff didn’t care. When we finally got seated to our table it was a collapsible table they had just chucked in a random spot like they wasn’t prepared for us coming, no cutlery or menus was given to us and was waiting a further 20 mins for our drinks until me and my partner decided to walk out. Awful service and staff didn’t have a clue what they was doing, will not be returning

Unfair to comment on the atmosphere as we ended up being the only party left for quite sometime

We were a table of seven people, one veggie, all managed easily to choose starters and mains. Food came out in good time, piping hot. Never rushed at any point, probably the opposite in fact. This could be both a positive and a negative, however in our case it was an absolute positive. Hopefully the servers 'read the room' and left us to have a chat and a catch up.

We recently moved to the area and wanted to try the local Indian takeaway. Thought it seemed a little pricey but went for it. The ordering system is like most Indian takeaways, said it would take 45 mins, no live updates and no reason to collect earlier so arrived to collect 45 mins after ordering. Food was really cold. Fine otherwise, tasted nice etc. think it was probably ready much earlier but ordering system didn't alert us to this so feel it would have been good if they'd given us a quick call and we'd have gone straight there. Put us off trying a second time so went somewhere else but if they can make a phone call with an updated time, we'd try again.

Absolutely beautiful meal tonight from the Bombay! So tasty We tried some different Tandoori dishes tonight and we were not disappointed.

Had a fabulous evening with amazing and delicious food. The tandoori prawns were wonderful. Would highly recommend and will return. Great friendly and efficient service.

my wife wrote a review and I think your answer was disgusting dont know about others wanting a refund but our niece did not eat her food as you say she did the grizzle made her feel ill . We was told the wine was £20 but you did charge £25 and also the specials didnt have any prices we was also charge £15 more than we actually ordered. So no we was not out for a free meal !!!!!!!! :(

We went for a friends birthday so it was a big party. I ordered a bottle of wine and asked the waiter is the one I want £20 he said I think so, when we paid they charged £25. The Menu is not clear on prices. The starters were lovely but our main meal was horrible. My nieces chicken was full of grizzle. When putting out plates one had rice all over it. A lot of our party had to wait ages for there mains.when we went to pay it was well over what we would pay at our usual Indian Restaurant in town. We will not be dining there again.

What a wonderful transformation, it looks like a completely different restaurant! The food was outstanding, staff/service was absolutely fabulous, and to top it all off, they've now got a bar...no more BYOB!! Highly recommend...Thank you for a lovely evening.

Ok, let’s face it, wherever you go whatever you try your going to get good and bad, and one person’s experience may not be another's, wether it be in taste, service or quality, but I ordered one of my favourites, a lamb vindaloo! Damn! The taste, quality and heat were 10/10, I’ve never been disappointed with Bombay Spice, though at times the food I’d say had been acceptable, but maybe didn’t have quite the wow factor, but that doesn’t mean it was bad, but this takeaway of onion bahji, lamb vindaloo and three chapattis they have definitely upped their game! Delivered on time and a courteous driver, fabulous food! Keep up the standard Bombay and you won’t go far wrong.

I love this place, food is amazing, I especially enjoy the Saturdays nights with the young staff on who are super helpful and on the ball.

Very good experience. The food arrived comfortably within the timeframe given, and both the breads and the curries were still hot. The food itself was delicious, a little bit on the pricey side as I ordered specials but it was well worth it. Couldn't fault it, will order again

I was expecting great things from here. Unfortunately the lamb tikka masala was FULL of salt. It had no resemblance to any masala iv ever had plus the amount of salt that was in it, made it impossible to eat. Such a shame.

Slow night so the waiter was a bit too attentive. Reached across me to get my side plate (not very safe distance). Food was great. They don't serve alcohol so don't expect any.

Sadly a disappointing takeaway. Most of the meat had a very cheap texture and the sauces were poorly flavoured, either with a weak flavour or a strong taste of cinnamon. The stuffed paratha did not have anything in it and had the same texture of a naan rather than the flaky texture of a paratha. Positive points: The delivery driver was very friendly and the service was quick

Absolutely shocking… I ordered at quarter past 7 and got told food would be half an hour to 45 minutes, I then phoned back at 9pm because my delivery still had not arrived, they told me the driver was setting off in 5 minutes, it’s then arrived at quarter to 10 and they didn’t even have enough change to give to me! So I’ve paid extra for them to take 3 hours to fetch it! Not to mention when it arrived it was cold

This bengali fish curry loving crooked eye M*********** doesn't pay his staff their wages! The chef is one of the scruffiest guys i have ever seen. Doesn't even wash his hands after going to the toilet! Avoid at all costs!

The service was excellent from the moment that we walked in. The waiter promptly brought glasses for the drinks that we had brought with us and made sure we were happy with everything. When we asked about certain dishes the waiter happily explained them and made alternative recommendations for us. Very helpful and we enjoyed trying a couple of new dishes. The final bill between the six of us was very reasonable (obviously taking our own drinks was a big factor) and we were very happy with the whole evening. We will definitely be returning soon and recommend anyone to make a booking.

Superbly decorated older building, loads of character. Excellent food well presented and good friendly service. It's a bring your own booze restaurant so less expensive.

Not very busy as we went on a Tuesday night, waiting staff are good, not a great range of wines, but all the rest, beers & spirits are all good, Cobra is on draught, the food was good & hot, they have free WiFi as well, 10% discount for collection of take away orders, they also deliver (just eat) all in all, a good restaurant. Update: 30/07/22 They do not serve alchohol anymore, you can take your own, such a shame.

Hello I am very to say but I am very disappointed when I went to pay for my food the client say they only take money and wouldn't allow me to pay by card so I left to get money from the nearest cash machine .Not sure why they are not taking card they have a card machine so many people theses day only carry cards

I love their food it's like a food experiment. They're masters of how they're using the spices and herbs. The fish and the chicken was perfectly cooked I really enjoyed everything. The food was hot and well presented. My favourite Indian Takeaway.

We have visited twice in the last couple of weeks becoming our favourite Indian restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful, food was excellent highly recommended.

Got a takeaway on just eat from here. They didn’t have any coconut supreme in stock. Fair enough, people run out sometimes I understand that. Then I got my order and they made a lamb bhuna instead of the Balti I ordered. Ok people get things wrong I understand. Then I get what only looks like a 3 inch piece of bark or leather in my curry. As I bit into it I only realised then that it wasn’t edible and so it broke into 3 pieces. How can one takeaway be such a car crash? They get a 2 star for making edible rice with no foreign objects inserted into it.

Have used Bombay Spice regularly for take aways but dined in for first time for a family birthday. Staff were excellent, attentive but not over bearing, food arrived promptly and was excellent. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend for both take aways and dining in.

Takeaway arrived quickly but 1. We were given the wrong order - this didn’t bother us, mistakes happen. 2. When we told the driver he gave us our order, but parts of it were missing. The driver asked if we wouldn’t mind ringing the restaurant to sort it out! 3. My vegetarian masala (that I ordered because I am a vegetarian!!) had bits of chicken in it! I’m not going to lie, I was horrified and also sick afterwards. It wasn’t chunks of chicken as if they’d given me the wrong order (otherwise I’d have noticed and not eaten it), it was small bits as if they’d fished out the larger pieces to make it ‘veggie’. 4. The other veggie option only had cabbage - no other veg. Can’t attach photo as most of the order went in the bin. If you are vegan/veggie or have allergies of any sort I would not order from here. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again.

The restaurant was cold. The waiter was a pain, was clearing empty plates on our table whilst people was still eating. Made it worse that he was actually leaning over people eating to do this!! Food was a maybe 3 star but service n environment really needs to be sorted!!!! Won’t return and won’t be recommending either!
