The best restaurants serving Indian food in East Midlands

So delicious, although our order was wrong it was super yummy!! We got a take out and it was such good value. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was super helpful. I missed my king prawns though. It would of been a five xx

We had friends visiting and wanted to take them somewhere with great food. We booked a table for 7.30pm and upon arrival were told the table wasn’t ready so we took a seat in the bar to wait. After 15 minutes we were taken to our table. To cut a long story short we were provided with poppadoms as a starter after around 30 minutes and had to wait until 9.30pm (2 hours after arriving) before the main course arrived. By this point we were fed up with waiting and our friends couldn’t eat their mains as it was too late into the evening. So we ended up leaving after a two hour visit where we had just 2 poppadoms each and a doggy bag. The experience ruined what should have been a great night out with close friends. Disappointing as the food really is excellent if you can actually get it.

Chloe Rachel summer were amazing, great service, really polite. They were accommodating they were fast, nothing was too much for them!! I love there outfits aswell!!!

A lucky find whilst visiting the neighbouring (linked) pub. Fantastic food, this was the best Indian food we've had in a long time. Beautifully presented and perfectly flavoured and spiced. Would definitely recommend The Indian Lodge and would love to return.

We paid £55.45 for a delivered takeaway. It turned up nearly an hour late after being delivered to the wrong address. The food was cold, and part of the order was missing. This is not the first time we have had issues with this place. I've been overcharged before, and items have been forgotten to be placed in my order, which necessitated my returning to the restaurant after I was nearly home. Being busy on a Saturday night is not an excuse. This is terrible service.

Absolutely stunning food , everything from the poppadoms to our main meal was simply outstanding and the staff were so lovely. Would definitely go again and without a doubt recommend to all x x x x x

Sorry to say this was a disappointing take away for the price , the staters were cold , Onion Bhaji hardly had any onions in them more Gram flour than anything else , not eatable . and the curry lacked flavour

No dejes que te desanime el exterior y la decoración interior, la comida es fantástica. Paramos en la posibilidad de obtener una mesa, el lugar estaba vacío. Pedimos bebidas y para ser sincero casi salimos. El lugar necesita urgentemente actualizarse. No lo hicimos y decidimos pedir, no esperábamos que la comida fuera brillante, pero para ser honestos, así fue. Buena comida a un precio razonable, qué más se puede pedir.

Ordered through Justeat, the food was great and tasty, especially the naan! It arrived hot and on time. I wish I lived closer! :)

If there is zero star, I would have given that. The owner was arrogant and full of attitude. The restaurant was empty on Saturday night which told the story outcome.The food was horrible, the worst Indian food I have ever had and we have dined in hundreds of Indian restaurants in the UK and around the world. The lamb tasted like rubber. The Butter Chicken was dry swimming in a bland creamy sort of “curry-like sauce”. Food has no presentation and no taste. There was only 2 other customers from out of town oblivious to what was to come. If you enjoy microwave heated food, give it a try!

The curry was too watery for us and tasted pretty bland, and was cold. The chicken was really dry too. I also thought it was overpriced (charging the same price for lamb and chicken tikka when lamb is a lot more expensive). We won’t be using them again.

We had the set meal 😋 it was amazing, we have been before ,but they have really up their game,the food and service were faultless.

The food was excellent and was able to bring our own drinks which is usually the biggest portion of the bill. Great choice on the menu and staff very helpfull is describing each dish. Parking easy acrss the street or behind the Co-Op.
